They are not happy with it and would like to do everything they could to jeopardise all kinds of direct or foreign investments. IDK if the whole entire continent is actually going to fully split in half, but a massive sea opening up in the center of Africa would be fantastic for commerce and trade, and would probably accelerate the growth of communities on it's coastlines.

Most countries in Africa have existed for a bit more than 60 years. Any talk about this or that country getting a coastline and this or that being good or bad for the economy is just silly. Should there still be humans on earth in 50 million years, we would not recognize them. How on earth could anyone think Zimbabwe (or any other current country in the world) will still exist in 50 million years?
