I actually just bought this game again my disc got destroyed and just got it back after over 10 years and I can not wait to play it again this game shaped my childhood for what not only gran turismo but what all of racing is

@@gamwpanagia I think you misunderstood me. I was making a joke that references how there are many finished indie games that are arguably more enjoyable than budget AAA games. I am an indie game developer myself, although I'm pretty new to the industry. Out of curiosity, what makes indie games bad in your opinion? Are there certain games you played that you didn't enjoy?
This is how you do an intro. Not something that the player is forced to sit through all day. Something they WANT to watch, that leaves them wanting more instead of hopelessly tapping the X button minute after minute. This is probably the best rendition of the theme, too.
Such an emotional moment at 1:20 as the operatic high is reached and the cars driving to the start, almost like gladiators going to their destiny/death.
Powerful stuff.
This makes cry even the stone hearted man... Very emotional.

The whole thing is put together masterfully. The dramatic more opera-like start has a strength wich can't be measured and the guitar is absolutely filled with passion in every second it plays, everything around it just fits in perfectly...

If you are a real PS gamer, you notice that modern consoles are bs because they got corrupted by greed and it's almost not worth it anymore. It's better to get a pc with a CD Drive, download an emulator and play your old discs with a refreshed look or just search new stuff. GTS was already a dissapointment to me and GT7 isn't looking great either, so it's with great pain on my heart that i say Gran Turismo has died to me, they can still bring it back, but they aren't going to.

The orchestra section is simply stunning, a masterpiece even. Sums up the beauty of the franchise much better than the rock versions imo.

Well, no, Grantourismo has argueably the best and most diverse music of all racing simulators.
The combination of the diversity in music and car manufacturers is, what makes the GT series stand out from the other racing and simulator games.
NFS does not even come close to that ...
@@meggiemcgraw8526 underground music wouldnt fit into GT at all, and neither would GT music fit into underground. both of those game's soundtracks set the mood very well, wouldnt be able to compare them too well

Watching this for the first time, way back then, I became filled with the spirit of racing.
This is by far the most beautiful intro to anything I have ever seen (only applicable to the orchestral choir part)
After all these years - 16 of them -since GT4 first came out that intro still sends shivers down my spine. It was so exciting when we slipped the disc in and saw that wonderful GT40 occupy our gaming screen
The one thing Ford got right. They dont discriminate what franchise to go with. Both FM and GT have Ford.
I always wondered why they choose ford GT for intro but years later I knew cause it was the fastest road car at those time, then Bugatti released later and became the fastest legal road car

I played this song in my head when it was the final race I had to do to complete the game after the race was done, I yelled and cried in ecstasy. And for a kid who was 9 years old at the time it was the first game I ever completed

If GT7 gets this intro... The game will raise it's sales by quite a bit just from that. If GT7 manages to be as good as GT4 in campaign mode while having the Sport side of things? This will be the best racing game EVER, not just the best gran turismo, but best racing game period.
Gran Turismo is the most car enthusiast game you can play, it's not a perfect sim like Asseto for example, but it's still good enough, and has a whole story behind it. It's just a completely different feel.

It's been over 10 years, and this song still hits as hard as the first time in 2006. The strenght of the voice is just the perfect start, to continue with a musical masterpiece. If there is a song that i would consider the most important one of my life, this is it, and no, it's not because video game nostalgia because i personally feel more nostalgic about GT3 than 4
You should check out other Van Halen songs, there are so many great ones

Even after 27 years of Gran Turismo, GT4 is still the absolute peak. For some reason, GT and Forza both peaked at the 4th installments being masterpieces that sequels just haven't been able to match.

While i really like the Gran Turismo intros with moon over the castle, i feel like Gran Turismo 3 was the best one (this coming a close second) because it look more realistic, with the others looking mire like a cartoon and less like they were filmed for real.
