Omg I'm Turkish and I was so excited to see baklava! About whom does baklava belong to, I think it belongs to all those nations who has their own kind of baklava. Because all those nations used to live together side by side in the same country, The Ottoman Empire. They used to live together so cultural exchange and cultural similarities are inevitable. But they all have their own kind of baklava. We're not so different, we actually have really similar cultures. It's pointless to fight over that. Let's just all enjoy baklava!😊 Btw I love your videos, much love from Turkey❤❤
Baklava is more than the Ottoman empire. Its heritage goes further and wider as part of Greater Mesopotamia. From Egypt to the borders of India, the cuisines have many common threads. Grilled meats/kebabs, flatbreads, and of course our beloved baklava. Still I echo the heartwarming sentiments above.
I'm Greek, and I agree with this ❤️ (just excited to see baklava on here) i do make my baklava a bit different than what was shown here, doing nuts sprinkled a little throughout each of the layers instead of just twice. And, for the syrup, I use orange zest/juice instead of lemon, and honey instead of sugar (not very vegan, i know 😅)
@@DiamondFizzy You're right, I just used The Ottoman Empire as an example. English is not my first language, sorry if it was misleading. What I was trying to say is we all kinda live next to each other so of course our foods will be similar even the same. But everybody can enjoy it!
hi mina! I'm from South Africa. one of our most famous desserts, is called a "melktert". it translate to milktart. it consists of a crust, milk filling and topped with cinnamon. i think you would enjoy it!! hopefully you could share a vegan version.
Thanks for featuring Wales! It’s so cool seeing my country in a video, even if the welsh cakes did give you some trouble initially, I’m glad you liked them!
A typical Chinese breakfast would be dumplings/ jiaozi. It can be made vegan very easily and tbh it’s not something that the world hasn’t discovered yet😂 I like to make them with tofu, zucchini and maybe glass Nudeln would be nice. My family often has it with sweet mungo beans soup. So good!
They all look so good, I want to try them all! Your brigadeiros look pretty authentic to me, I'll be writing down that condensed milk recipe. As for breakfast, I think you could try to make tapioca! I had it a lot growing up in Brazil. You just sift hydrated tapioca starch, add salt and fry a layer of it in a non-greased frying pan until it sticks together and form a sort of thin pancake. Then you flip it and fry the other side for one or two minutes and it's done! I usually have it with butter and scrambled tofu or with a chocolate hazelnut spread. I recommend you look for a proper recipe, since I don't know if you can find tapioca starch that is already hydrated, and I just eyeball the thickness of the layer, but having measurements might help it turn out soft and chewy. You can also make them small pancake-sized circles - it's easier to flip.
Your videos are always fun to watch! Please try traditional Japanese sweets next time. Lots of them are vegan and u can find ingredients easily now a days. Happy days🥰
For breakfast, I'd love to see you try and make something Russian like buckwheat porridge (grechka) or blini. For grechka, toasted buckwheat is preferred, and it's a very popular breakfast for kids. And blini are just really fun to make so I highly recommend trying some traditional Russian breakfast foods.
I am so excited for your pumpkin recipes video. I have been obsessed with pumpkin recently, especially just baked pumpkin cubes and cauliflower with a lot of cinnamon and hot paprika powder, some roasted sunflower seeds and baked beans on the side, sooo good :)
OMG! Love it. For breakfast ideas, please try to make dosa from the south of India. People are usually very familiar with the north but not so much with the south. It is basically like a crispy savory crepe and you can use many different types of filling but the batter is made very differently from a crepe batter (dosa batter is made us of rice). You can make masala potato or baked potato filling and also enjoy it with a chutney (basically basil/ curry leaves grind).
Oh my god! I clicked because of the vegan brigadeiro and I did not expect to fall in love with you and your videos. You‘re amazing and your voice is so soothing! And they really turned out just like the original ones, I am SO amazed! Brigadeiro is for brazilias what vodka is for russians I guess haha so you can imagine how happy I am to find a nice easy way to keep them in my life!
Guys. Toast with salted butter and chocolate sprinkles. It’s actually a thing in germany. The brigadeiros look amazing and I agree with all my fellow asians in the comments: I was so excited about the baklava ! Sieht super aus 🤧
I always love watching your videos, especially this kind because I also enjoy making things more out of my comfort zone! This has definitely inspired me, for sure I will try the pain au chocolat, Welsh cakes and if I'm with my family perhaps the baklava too (because it makes such a big batch)! Thank you for the video and I wish you a lovely weekend. Even though it is raining again in the Netherlands, getting into fall means that croissants and other pastries will be easier to make, so am so looking forward to trying to make them myself!
Hi Amina, i find your video idea very cool to collect recipes from all over the world. You have included some of my favourite dishes in here. Also awesome to watch, it has very cozy autumn vibes, which i like. Thank you for your time to produce the recipe video. Warm regards, Swing The Whisk.💗
I highly recommend trying the Mexican dish “chilaquiles” for breakfast. They’re easy to make and most people who aren’t Mexican love it. The key of this dish is the sauce, and there are a lot of them so you can experiment a bit with this plate
Love your videos Mina they’re so calming and beautiful✨✨ I’m from turkey and I don’t know you know it but turkey is known for it’s breakfast lol. I’d totally recommend you to try gozleme. There are a lot of different versions of it but I literally love the spinach one. Have fun with that video!
I’m from Chile and one of my favorite Chilean dessert it’s “Mote con Huesillo” basically “mote” it’s "wheat" and “huesillos” are dry peaches. this recipe its like boba but in a Chilean version hahaha. You cook the peaches with cinnamon, cloves, orange and lemon peals, vainilla and mascabado sugar, boiled that, let it cool. Cook the mote and then serve in a large glass, put the "mote" first then 1or 2 "huesillos" and then put the liquid of the "huesillos" and you're done Or you can do “sopaipillas pasadas” It's a dough made with squash that is fried and then boiled in a syrup. first you make the dough with: 2 cups flour 1 cup with pumpkin 2 tablespoons oil 1/2 glass of hot water 1 tablespoon of salt Mix everything, knead for 10 minutes, then stretch the mixture and make circles that are fried in oil. For the syrup you combine muscovado sugar, all spices, orange and lemon peel, being that to boiled. Dip the dough m in the syrup, bring to a boil again and serve.
I love mote con huesillo! I haven't tried many Chilean foods yet, even though my partner is Chilean. But humitas and pebre are some of the things I really love! Hopefully we will be able to go to Chile again in the summer, I then would also love to learn how to cook more Chilean food vegan. Thanks for sharing the recipe for sopaipillas pasadas, I didn't know this one, but it's on my list to try now too :D
Hey I’m from Sweden and I feel a really classic breakfeast we have are pancakes! They are not like american pancakes but more like thin pancakes. In the recipe it’s eggs but a veganised version is with oil instead:D if you want to try out the pancakes here’s the recipe: (For about 10 pancakes) 4dl wheatflour 7dl non diary milk 0,5dl oil 0,5 teaspoon salt vegan butter to cook in 1. Whisk togheter the flour and milk. Add the oil and salt. 2. Fry the pancakes in vegan butter in a small pan. (You want to pour batter so it almost covers the whole pan and add a lot of butter so the pancake doesn’t stick. You add some butter after every pancake) Then you serve the pancakes and eat it with jam! My favourite is rasberry or blueberry jam!:D enjoy!
Tres leches is also very popular in Colombia! I was so excited to see it in you video :) For breakfast you could make Arepas! They are also from Colombia and Venezuela
can you do a video of like school/work lunch box ideas? i never know what to pack for my main course when I'm tight on time in the morning haha! love this and your channel
When I used to have fairy bread in aussie we always had it with sweetened condensed milk and sprinkles, butter spread was if you had ran out of condensed milk in my house ahah
You should make Chilaquiles! It’s a typical breakfast dish here in Mexico and it’s so delicious, you can add different toppings and also vary with the salsas! I just made them this morning!
You should try making Taiwanese breakfast street foods like scallion pancakes 蔥油餅, youtiao 油條 (fried dough) that you dip in soy milk, and sesame flatbread 燒餅
In den Niederlanden gibt es etwas ganz ähnliches wie fairy bread. Hagelslag ist Weißbrot mit Schokostreusel drauf. In the Netherlands exist something pretty similar to fairy bread. Hagelslag is white bread with chocolate sprinkles on it.
Please try falooda! It’s a Pakistani dessert with a very authentic taste I grew up eating! I think it would be very easy to adjust to vegan and it’s kind of healthy but not really
I'm always too lazy to make vegan brigadeiro (a disappointment to my Brazilian blood living abroad and not forcing foreigners to try it lol) Yours look sooooo good, will definitely try this recipe!
Can you try to make vegan goetta for breakfast? It's a German-American thing that a lot of people eat in Ohio. Do people eat it in Germany too nowadays? I read there are similar things
Pls do vegan Indian food with minimal ingredients and appliances, because in India or other countries we don't have stuff such as a microwave or an oven so plz do try some recipes without those appliances
im brazilian and the brigadeiros look so good!! i love how meticulous u were with it, here we just slap whatever chocolate we have + condensed milk n call it a day haha, but i wonder if u couldve used a nut butter instead of making ur own condensed milk? also 2 things: 1. depending on how long u cook it for, u could also use brigadeiro for cake fillings ! theres like specific times and "points" for each use so u could look that up since u liked it so much haha and 2. if u want tidier brigadeiros, they say to roll it, cover in sprinkles, and then roll it AGAIN so they look like neat balls
As an Australian, I can confirm toasting the bread for fairy bread is a criminal offence This was the best dessert as a kid along with chocolate crackles, of course I grew up having non vegan versions so thank you for re-creating a vegan version! Love your videos! :)
Hi Mina! Would you like to try Chinese food for the breakfast video? I'm from Shanghai, and here are some of my favourites that do not use a lot of ingredients: adzuki bean bun (sweet), bok choi and shiitake mushroom bun (savoury), Chongming rice cake (sweet). Then of course hot, homemade soy milk is the best! If you prefer something smooth and porridge-like, I would recommend glutinous rice dumplings. You can eat the kind with fillings on its own, or for the tiny ones without filling, I prefer to have them with either adzuki bean soup or fermented glutinous rice. I'd love to show you my grandma's recipes if you would like them!
Those sound soo good! I love Asian cuisine but haven't gooten to try a lot because of the lack of vegan options in the restaurants. I would really like a video of Mina just on that.
Hey Mina! Thank you for these recipes, they all look great! For breakfast, I would love to see you try making vegan arepas or cachapas. Arepas are a traditionally Colombian and Venezuelan breakfast food made from a maize dough. Colombians tend to make them flat and top them with butter while Venezuelans make them thicker so that they can cut them in half and stuff them with different fillings (i love having them with avocado!). My mom has always made arepas growing up and they are super tasty! Cachapas are another traditional Venezuelan breakfast food. They are almost like a pancake but are made from a sweet corn batter. I hope you decide to try making these!!
Hi Mina, I am from India and one of my fav breakfasts is poha. Its flattened rice flakes that are cooked and spiced. I hope you could give it a try next vid 😊
Same ...in south india we call it avlakki, and made w puffed/ flattened rice flakes , soaking and draining them w water first , and then adding spices like chilli powder , tumeric, chillis , groundnuts , onions on a pan and serving with lemon juice squeezed on top . Hope mina sees this and gives it a try . 😊❤❤
it was so heartwarming to see baklava here because it's a dessert that I've been eating my whole life (I mean, I'm only 17 but still). there are so many warm memories about my grandma that include baking baklava (baking and cooking in general as well)🥺 (I'm actually armenian but still)
Most countries in Latin America have their own version of the Tres Leches cake. Here in Chile we eat it a lot! it's one of my faves to make and one of the first recipes I veganized when I became a vegan few years ago. I usually soak the sponge cake in a mixture of evaporated and sweetened condensed milk (both vegan ofc!) and add a layer of dulce de leche between the layers of cake and cover the whole thing with whipped coconut cream. Btw I love your videos, hope you have a nice day!
My partner is Chilean (and non-vegan), I would love to make this cake for him! Have you got any recipes (preferable in English, but otherwise Spanish is also fine) you recommend?
The fairy bread reminds me of the dutch buttered bread with hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles), childhood memories to me, you need to try that too, very delicious, very easy :) and I always ate the dutch version untoasted and also sometimes with stuten or hefezopf
After a stress-filled week, this was the best thing to see at the end of the day: a sweet notification for a gorgeous video filled with delectable-looking treats from around the world! Love how relaxing and positive your videos always are, and this one was no exception. Goodness, these all look so delicious and was interesting to learn about all of these different desserts, as well as how to veganise them. Especially the Pain Au Chocolat. France is a country close to my heart, though haven't been there for a few years now, and know my family is missing our holiday there too. Thus, now after your awesome recipe share, plan to make these for them when next visit to give them a scrummy taste of those happy times. Thankyou!! Hope you are doing well and are happy and enjoying wonderful days :) Much love 💕
To make the brigadeiros, we can use banana biomass as a regular condensed milk's substitute for those who want to be fit or use cashew's nut milk+sugar+powder cocoa to have a more similar result to the original recipe.
My grandma is dieting and found an easy healthier recipe for it. You just grab two ripe bananas and microwave till they are soft. Than you mix cacao powder and powdered coconut milk until it turns into a thick mass(I think it's 5tbsp but I'm not sure). (I also mixed in vanilla, coffee and salt) You can either freeze it and roll it or eat it with a spoon.
As a French who says "pain au chocolat", I'm so glad you said that and not "chocolatine" 😂 It's a stupid debate, I know, but everytime i hear a foreigner say it, i feel like we're winning xD Anyway, this was an awesome video and all the recipes look incredible 😍😍
Another fantastic video that I love🥰 from the beautiful, lovely & gorgeous Mina and good to see non vegan recipes being veganised and I love trying different vegan recipes from different countries. Love 💕Mina.
Indonesian breakfast : bubur kacang ijo (mung bean porridge), soak the mung bean, boil until tender with water, add sugar and serve with coconut cream💖
I really enjoyed this one a lot! I recently bought some vegan condensed milk online because making it myself was a huge flop :'D it's a bit on the more expensive side but totally worth it for the recipes that I use it in!
I would say lamington is a better known Australian dessert, but fairy bread is great! Not sure I agree with the comment about using the cheapest stuff you can. For me, it's about using soft fresh bread, salted butter and 100s and 1000s (not sprinkles). Lovely combination of sweet and salty! Also great with nutella if it wasn't full of sugar enough already :D

as a franco-lebanese person, SEEING THE BAKLAVA AND PAINS AU CHOCOLAT BROUGHT ME AN INHUMANE AMOUNT OF SEROTONIN-!!! you’re simply awesome, mina!
Both the video and the comment section are a treat ! Thanks so much Mina and all of you as well 😊💕
I'm lying sick in bed and this is literally the best medicine. You are definetly one of my comfort youtubers♡

I am Thai, and we have breakfast that comes from China which is yóuzháguǒ(fried dough) with soy milk. It is very comforting in the morning!!!!
Do you mind me asking the recipe of dumplings?
They all look so good, I want to try them all! Your brigadeiros look pretty authentic to me, I'll be writing down that condensed milk recipe. As for breakfast, I think you could try to make tapioca! I had it a lot growing up in Brazil. You just sift hydrated tapioca starch, add salt and fry a layer of it in a non-greased frying pan until it sticks together and form a sort of thin pancake. Thank you tho ❤️🥺
I've had Baklava before. It is really good. Yours looked yummy... The last dessert looked so good.

or sirniki!
@@liligyopar1367 yes! They are so good, though making the cottage cheese vegan might be hard (cream cheese would work though)...
I am so excited for your pumpkin recipes video. I have been obsessed with pumpkin recently, especially just baked pumpkin cubes and cauliflower with a lot of cinnamon and hot paprika powder, some roasted sunflower seeds and baked beans on the side, sooo good :)

Love your videos! :)
As another Aussie, absolutely agree - culural crime!! So don't you dare toast that bread! haha
chocolate crackles are also sneaky vegan - Copha is just vegetable oil :)

Yummy 😋
So funny, the Australian fairy bread is something we have in the Netherlands as a breakfast.😂
we don’t have it toasted though 😭
it was so heartwarming to see baklava here because it's a dessert that I've been eating my whole life (I mean, I'm only 17 but still). there are so many warm memories about my grandma that include baking baklava (baking and cooking in general as well)🥺
(I'm actually armenian but still)
Most countries in Latin America have their own version of the Tres Leches cake.
Oh hahaha I didn't realize it was included in the video! Would you say a more traditional Chilean tres leches cake is like the recipe Mina makes?
Is Mina Rome what MR stands for in ASMR? :-)
Just kidding, Mina! Your channel is awesome and your recipes are amazing!!
YESSS THE GODDESS HAS RETURNED WHEN WE NEEDED HER THE MOST!!!
Me watching any Mina video (especially food from around the world)
The fairy bread reminds me of the dutch buttered bread with hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles), childhood memories to me, you need to try that too, very delicious, very easy :) and I always ate the dutch version untoasted and also sometimes with stuten or hefezopf
As an Aussie, fairy bread is seriously overhyped 😅 it's such a sugar bomb, I have no idea why we give it to kids
fairy bread is the best thing in the world.
I think it's just because it's so simple and easy. How easy is it compared to the rest of these? No cooking needed.
Yeah, aussie and I’ve always thought it was gross - even as a kid
Ugh these videos and the style of editing just gives me so much comfortt😭💞
🥺❤️
The brigadeiros do look amazing. Greetings from Bahia!
I loved that you made some non-western desserts in your video! Everything looked soso good, I'm deff making the croissants omg
(I also mixed in vanilla, coffee and salt)
You can either freeze it and roll it or eat it with a spoon.
Yesss this is such a nice video series idea!! I know you've been to Finland, so how about you make some finnish korvapuustis ;)
So happy to see Baklava included as a Pontic Greek woman! 🥰
you dont know how happy i am to see you recreate baklava!! sooooo much love from turkeyy🤎🤎
Another fantastic video that I love🥰 from the beautiful, lovely & gorgeous Mina and good to see non vegan recipes being veganised and I love trying different vegan recipes from different countries. Love 💕Mina.
Everything looks so delish!! You should try making argentinian pastelitos, pasta frola or alfajor de maicena , I think it's quite easy to veganize :)
Indonesian breakfast : bubur kacang ijo (mung bean porridge), soak the mung bean, boil until tender with water, add sugar and serve with coconut cream💖
Sounds delicious 😋
omg you made a tres leches cake 😭 that’s my whole childhood right there
When I saw brigadeiro in your stories I already knew what it was and I got so excited to see the final product, well done! 🥰🇧🇷💚
I’m Australian and you might get a lifetime ban from Australia in you toast fairy bread 😅
Noted 🥲
