What an amazing original Buick you have and wishing that we keep history completely hoping your family will look after it with loving care. If not send it to somebody that will look after it with loving care because the young people of today quite a few of them couldn’t care less And it’s disappointing. Regards, I would love Buick myself from down under.

This is a 1929 Model 26-S 4-Passenger Special/Sport Coupe with a 239 Inline-Six producing 74 Horsepower. It has a 116 inch wheelbase making it the junior series to the larger 121 and 129 inch wheelbase Buicks of that year. Production of this model was 10,308. The 1929 Buick styling at the time was mocked by some for its "pregnant look" because there was a slight bulge to the doors and rear quarters which was contrary to the flat sides found on other cars. Styling on the 1930 Buick was changed to reflect a more mainstream look. Even though this example is a junior Buick, it was a rather jaunty car for a young man of that era...a 1929 Chevrolet had 46 Horsepower and a 1929 Ford had 40 Horsepower.
Thank you for viewing & sharing your knowledge.
You do lead a charmed life Lou! I saw this one a while ago, but I had to watch it again. what a great little Buick!

@@joemama9005 Sweet! I posted a video of mine, about a month ago on my channel. You should post a video of your fathers, I'd love to see it.
At the 1:50 mark, "It's got both wheels and an overhead V6" - nice that he knows so much about the car... geez....
So here is the choices. 1) Know about a car, but don't own it. 2) Own the car, but don't know about it. 3) Know about the car, and own it. I'll take #'s 2 & # 3
Need to see 1953 Chrysler Windsor on your show thanks Lou
Hi David, Here is a 56 and I'll keep an eye out for the 53. Enjoy ! Lou ua-cam.com/video/CbGBvQI4JvE/v-deo.html
An inline 6, not a V6. The Buick V6 came out in 62. This is a 1929.
Hi Michael, Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Lou
The owner said it had an overhead V6 and that's wrong. That is a straight six. Beautiful car tho.
Hi Mike Samra, Glad you enjoyed the car, and thank you for sharing your knowledge, Lou
Marty has a Chicago accent, I heard it right away.
:-)
one badge on the lower portion of the engine is completely worn while the other two are pristine. Odd ? Otherwise a great video, Lou
Hi Vincent Basso, High attention to details, nice! Glad you enjoy this video, Lou
