- Comedian, director, and game show host ? we?re glad to have him on the show! This is one you won?t want to miss! FUN FACT: Drew and Kevin have known each other for a LONG time. How long? Spoiler alert: Kaesong, 1953.
“I was surrounded by particles of happiness.” Drew is a much more interesting person than I knew. He seems really positive and caring in a genuine way.
Kevin Pollak Worked with Drew In Season 1 of The Drew Carey Show
Best interview show out there. What a treat. Thank you Kevin.
1:28:21 The price is right controversy.
Boomer Ang Thanks. That was far more interesting than that awful Netflix documentary, which spent the first 30+ minutes telling a tedious anticlimactic story setting up the only interesting part.
There's a Netflix documentary about the dude now!
pro tip: watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Bentley Isaiah yup, been watching on flixzone} for months myself =)

One of the best KPCS. What a funny, genuine guy. And Kevin is his usual perspicacious self.
after 2 hours, I've come to one conclusion-- Drew Carey makes friends wherever he happens to be! His book, Dirty Jokes and Beer ain't so bad either.
I wish I could feel that happiness Drew feels on stage, just once in my life. I have such horrible depression, and my health isn't the greatest, so I'm always upset, crying and just feel horrible. He is so lucky to have all that happiness.
Have you tried standup?
Drew and Mr. Bell are getting along pretty well.
After watching the documentary, I'm glad that this interview helped to vindicate poor Theodore. I still can't help but wonder though, if Drew Carey or CBS, have even seen the documentary, and if they will ever do right by Ted... Lord knows, if I were Theodore, I would've Happy Gilmored that scumbag Terry and dropped him off a cliff like he was the yodeling mountain climber guy... #thepriceiswrongbitch

Drew mentioned visiting Cleveland and seeing his house. We live in Old Brooklyn close to his former high school and have seen his old house. He mentioned looking for a setting of the Warsaw Tavern and for a while there was a bar on Memphis Avenue named the Warsaw and they used to show the sign on the front of the tavern on the show with the neon light. It is still a bar but has changed its name. The building still has a graphic painted on the outside wall depicting the cast of The Drew Carey Show.
Mr Pollock, I have been a fan of yours ever since I saw you on The Real Deal (comedy central maybe 1995?) but have not seen your stand-up for awhile. I have to say, this was one of the most entertaining things I have ever seen--movie, television, stand-up, anything. Your questions were insightful, it was funny and real and intimate. This is what the internet should be about. You are this generation's Carson. Fantastic job, and thank you for sharing it with us.
This generations Carson? Pollack talks over his guests isn’t funny has horrible rhythm and and this interview is like 10 years old and he stopped the show forever ago
Hell I don’t even remember the last time he was a guest on a show or did a movie or tv show
Only in the game show world can so little be valued so much.
Also "spontaneously paneled" was Steven Wright, on his first gig at the Tonight Show
Excellent down to earth interview. Better then you'd find on television.
except for Craig Ferguson....his interviews are even more down to earth than this!
Drew Carey might be the first person to actually make sport sound interesting to me
The magical, legendary Drew Carey, everyone !
"might as well call him out all the way, he directed "The Bodyguard..."
complete insult. Gorgeous.
I haven't watched a lot of these but it seems there's always babble for the first 15 min of this show. Enjoyed the talk with Drew Carey though. Was great to learn something new about Drew :)
...I always scroll the comments to find when the guest shows up.
I fast forward past the fluff
Just watched the Carson show with drew. Johnny said ; " You could not have been funnier" I would like to find out what went though his mind when Johnny said that.
Looked up the W. Harrelson goal.. Mike Myers (SNL comedian) was on the same team, so yeah it was a "celebrity" game :D
Jim Carey and Drew Carey, imagine having two brothers in the same family growing up to be comedic actors? AMAZING? What are the odds? Billion to 1?
Jim Carrey and drew Carey are not at all related
Sure, their Dad was Harry Carey; but he liked the Cubs.
The John Carter movie was KILLED by the incoming management at Disney. Anything Eisner was left out to pasture. Also, the "Mars" part was deleted from the title, because the recent movie "Mars Needs Moms" was a complete and utter failure.
The Terry guy should've received a $25k bonus for his exact bid
I moved into a new house and threw a party for the neighbors so I could get to know them. After a short time a Limo pulls up and out jumps Drew Carey. All the people were excited to see him. They seemed impressed that he would come to my party. He made a few phone calls had a little food and conversation with the other guests...one lady even slapped him but he was cool. He left a couple hours later. I don't know Drew but I'm so glad he stopped by. It kind of raised my stock in the neighborhood with the neighbors.
+Ratty McCatty and Drew is what you see is what you get he is Genuine very rare
My sister ran a casino on a boat that drew booked for an end of year trip for everyone on his show, and said he was an awesome guy.
Flowerdale...
I couldn't imagine having to talk to and listen to Terry on a daily basis.
Didn't care about those other shows, I tuned in to the Drew Carey show, he'd make me laugh till I would have an asthma attack.
31:21 Forgot Ray Combs (Family Feud host) was called over on his 1st show in 1986.
That guy was a comic?
That’s true, but didn’t he have a bit of an unfair advantage since he was the audience warm-up guy at the time?
such a great conversation
We used to see Brian Stow at his kids games in Santa Cruz. So sad what happened to him.
Two problems I have with the Take 5: 1) "Coke or Pepsi, there is no right or wrong answer." But there IS. Coke, of course is the RIGHT answer. and 2) I can't stand David Koechner.
love this guy
Holy shit, Drew Carey's soccer team voting the GM out should be done in the NHL!1 Hello Edmonton Oilers and Daryl Katz!
Canadian league?! Huh, Wha! I was a Drew Carey / Kevin Pollak fan until 01:48:20. 😡🇨🇦🤔
... not really. CFL is a great league. Miss the Chat Show. Pure gold! These should be archived somewhere for ever!
The irony of Drew, a guy from Cleveland, searching for a bad football team in his mind to reference
Clevelanders know that the Browns have been bad 95% of the time, but they still love them with fierce loyalty. Disparaging them would be like dissing your first dog because it shits in the yard. It does it because it can't help it.
I love Drew Carey! Not only is he funny, he's smart and incredibly sexy!!!!
+Curvy Mama so are you! sexy that is what happened to Brian Stow
+tomerph lol thanks! he was beaten at a Dodgers Game by Dodgers fans. He was in a coma and now he's got severe brain damage and is in a wheel chair. Very sad.
1:28:21 To anyone that came here after watching the perfect bid documentary and wanted to see the beginning clips of the interview that was put in the documentary here’s the beginning
1:33:58 You don't normally hear Drew Carey swearing
I wonder what drew Carey plays these days. I wonder why Drew doesn't mention that he is actually in Sims 1. In SIms 1 if you have a good party Drew Carey will arrive at your party.
Does anyone know if with that soccer voting rule if it can be used the other way? Say the team wants to fire a GM but the fans like him can they veto the firing?
"Longform improv?" You mean what Christopher Guest and friends have mastered for 30 years?
Have always loved Drew Carey. Too bad TPIR takes him away from other projects.
I'm in love with her! lol
super interesting interviews! I'm hooked. But seriously the sims and second life are 2 completely different games. Sims is all about organization for me and second life seemsto be more about exploration from the few times i have played it.
I wouldn't compare soccer to ice hockey unless you're trying to lose an argument- however, I do like the promotion/demotion incentive of the English Premier League.
1:57:00 - 1:58:30 does this sound familiar? (Hint: L.A. Clippers).
01:48 Hollyweird has had PLENTY of time in 2020 to catch up with Madmen and all the other shows that everyone promised to watch and never did, eh?
Great interview...did Drew put on a lot of weight?or lose a lot of weight?
Starts 14:29
refreshing to see such an accomplished artiset and libertarian repreented on the show
Drew Carey is just Bill Gates with empathy
Stone Cold Steve Austin & Kevin Pollock have similar mannerisms. Very weird.
castratedrhino77 WHAT?
53:47 is the KFC talk
Pollack is a brilliant comedian and exceptional acting talent. Why he decided to have a podcast that opens with f-bomb strewn inane conversation so that I could learn to despise him, I don't know.
As discussed, here's Drew's appearance on Carson

Somehow...some way Carey always gets me to laugh. May not be the greatest ever; but funny every time I have seen him. First caught act when he was joking about " Drive through Liquor Stores".....
All these years later and it turns out I was right about JOHN CARTER!
Good movie.
Crap advertising.
Stupid SUITS!
20 hats!
I prefer chubby, balding Drew Carey. He was more cheeky and self-deprecating. The new Drew Carey is nice and all, but you can tell he knows he looks good and his confidence shows. Not as funny. Then again, I don't want to be against someone's personal growth and health lol.
Damn dat don't even look like drew in the picture
Certainly seems to have changed as you would expect over 20 years, just not sure it has been for the better.
1:17:45 funny as hell
Baltimorons, you mean...
Didn't know this guy was such a money-eyed elitist. Thought he was one of us. Hard to watch someone acting like $80 grand a year is nothing.Must be nice.
I understand what you're saying but he did probably owe a lot since he had been living out of his car, he probably was paying people off. Also fame and all the crap it costs to "go Hollywood" cost a lot because people spend a lot and they expect you to have certain amount of shit so you have to go and get it like "you have to wear this to the business meeting, and buy this person lunch at an expensive restaurant." When you're starting you can't say no and you can't really invest. He probably can now....If he was that way now, I'd be like, what? Why are you broke?
Soccer may be beautiful, but it's boring, sorry to say.
Drew Carey is to comedy what Mariah Carey is to comedy
Adi Adrian Way to rip off the roast master general. Maybe give credit next time?
It's not like he made improv comedy known to the masses. Am i right? Kappa
Too much cussing.
Heart-breaking to see him on a game show, host or not. Why not cut to the chase and live in a GE box on Hollywood Blvd? You won't need to panhandle, but all the rest of the degeneration is right on schedule.
Game show hosts make a shitload of money, for the major shows anyway. Drew Carey makes something like $9 million a year from Price is Right, Steve Harvey makes $12 million for Family Feud.
Damn his multi-million dollar paycheck!
He's a standup who did a network sitcom bud. He isnt Lenny Bruce.
Damn dat don't even look like drew in the picture
