- 3..2..1..EAT! 10 brave souls take on the chilli pepper eating contest held over the F1 Grand Prix weekend at the official Silverstone Woodlands campsite. With contestants from Ireland, England, Scotland and even Italy this a a true international chilli battle! Who shall win?
The weekend has lots of entertainment which starts on the Wednesday evening through to Sunday night, as part of this we run a chilli eating contest which anyone can enter as long as they are fit and healthy and sign a disclaimer stating the fact.
With much international interest we inevitable have participants that enter from all over the world and at this competition we have an entry who flew in from Italy who's name is Arturo Renricca (Italy's champion chili eater 2017 and holds the record for consuming 970gm's in 30 minutes), he had an interesting journey to say the least, on arrival we soon learnt that even after applying online for the contest and purchasing a F1 ticket that he had not arranged travel to and from the airport nor any accommodation (all available online via the F1 website).
(To note when you book a F1 Ticket it then asks you if you want to book accommodation etc)
However with a massive language barrier we prevailed and 'Google Translate became our friend' that weekend and we felt sorry for Arturo aka Mr Spicy and we looked after him and arranged camping and transport.
We also introduced Arturo to our favourite drink Thatcher’s Cider to witch you know us and yep we think Arturo liked it to.
We do not normal include a dialogue like this but this will certainly go down in the Clifton Chilli Club's memories for a long time.

Trust us we had to heavily edit this video due to that issue. We want all participants to enjoy themselves however occasionally you do get people who 'play up to the crowd and camera. Cheers.🍻👍😊

How was your experience with The Chilli Mash Co? I really liked their Jalapeño mash but stopped buying from them after unresolved issues with an order from their other company, Thousand Hills.
No doubt Spicefreak you would've noticed we have been using The Chilli Mash company for fresh chillies for a number of year's now for our competitions, we always credit etc those whom either we procure or sponsor etc, we've never had an issue, we have bought fresh chillies from them and they have always been great as we are particular as the larger the better for the camera etc.🌶👍🍻😊
As you know we are probably one of only a few channels that procure what we need and review as there are so many UA-camrs that contact companies wanting free stuff.... Trust us we do have inside knowledge of this first hand..... People even ask us for free stuff... cheek. We fund our channel ourselves with our own money etc. We want to provide a service not be spongers...lol
People need to learn that you have to work at it and then in time maybe...Just maybe real the rewards, where a small channel and work very hard to get to where we are... it's not easy as you know?🍻👍😊

Don't allow the costume as can't see him eating it, or allow it but make sure his head is visible and not hiding under the costume. He also wasn't eating whem he shoud have been so should be DQ'D as was delyaing the whole thing.
In the video you can see that we where conscious of the fact and he did get warned a few times and we did have our team checking as you would've seen Chilli Dave check his costume. Fun and games...lol

Are you there this year for the F1? How do you enter?
Hi Soldier7sixx yep we are, you need to bare in mind that you have to have a ticket for the F1 also be staying at Silverstone Woodlands as a camper etc. To enter you will need to do this online as Silverstone Woodlands will do a post about how to enter which is an online application via our website. To note also as we get a number of entries we run a lottery with the names etc as is all announced in the t&V's.
