Thank you! Will do, glad to help
Extremely well done. #learntheincomestatement
Thank you!
Thanks
Why is it 775 + 87?
4:45 what it doesn't contain (operating expenses like marketing)
6:15 gross profit-operating expenses
6:45 When a business pays debt they can subtract interest on it as an expense
Why are you subtracting 87 million in 2019 if it's positive? 87 million is not in brackets so, why are we deducting it?
Hi there! So the purpose of the income statement is to reach the bottom line for the ‘majority shareholders’. The portion of ownership and income for minority shareholders has to be subtracted from the amount of total income to find the income for the common stockholders. So if it’s positive, it’s subtracted from income, if it’s negative it’s added back on. Hope this helps!
@@BullInvestor Thank you very much for clarification! I really appreciate it!

I appreciate it! More coming soon :)
@@BullInvestor I still don't understand why 'the portion of ownership and income for minority shareholders has to be subtracted from the amount of total income to find the income for the common stockholders'? could you explain it?
