There is nothing like the hoffmans in deicide they are awesome period that is the absolute best era ever. No brian and eric no true Deicide .Totally awesome gig my man thanks a million for sharing this I will forever enjoy the hoffmans they are awesome to watch true musicians and perfect at their craft thanks again .May Deicde Reign Supreme Forever .
@@roblamb5468y'all being too hard on the later fill-ins. That stuff has some gems too. But of course the Hoffman vibe is signature and should have never ended. But To hell with God is a fun album. And the last two are a decent emulation of the Hoffmans like the way Christian emulated dino well on archetype after dino was out of fear factory for a while. In the Minds of Evil and Overtures are awesome signature formula records.
Man backed then I missed concerts all the time, who even knew when these bands were coming through, the newspaper didn't give me all my death metal concert tour plans haha
I saw them after Legion came out. It was the first time I saw them. I was soooo excited! They opened with lunatic and halfway through someone in the front row spit on Glen. He kicked the guy in the head then said “fuck this dude just spit on me. Fuck you!” Then he walked off stage. A couple minutes later Steve and the brothers walked off as well. Then the house lights came on and that was all she wrote. Show was over. I was highly disappointed. At least I got to see them two more times after that with the Hoffmans. Oh well.
I still haven't seen em. Both those are fun memories I bet. An old time friend of mine since first grade turned me on to Deicide in the early, more closer to mid 90"s been listening to them ever since. Just never could get all the way across the country to see them, but as they're getting bigger again.. there is definitely a chance for sure. Yeah but it all began with that self titled album. Everything from the early years, but still I like most their stuff. You guys were very lucky, even you who got your show cut short.
Everyone is always crying about the Hoffmann's. Sure, they were great guitarists. But I don't think Deicide needs them. Deicide put out some decent records after they were gone. The Hoffmann's only put out crap, the Amon-album sucks.
Okkvltify show me one guitarist who could play Scars of the crucifix solos correctly ? No one. Go listen to Once upon the cross, Serpents of the light, and Truth above. Yeah right that's the genius of Hoffman bros
The tone of the guitars is sooo perfect!
The original Deicide is the best and the only Deicide I acknowledge. That is the Hoffman brothers era only!!!
the post hoffman stuff is good, just not Deicide, y'know? i agree with you.
Couldn't say that in high enough regards! 100%
I agree. It’s not Deicide without the Hoffmans.

These classic fuckin' songs will never get old.
Golden Age of Deicide ...
Totally agree 🙂👍
As Benton said at another gig after the 1st song, "Turn the guitars up! Turn it all up!"
I think that applies here also.
Good to hear his vocals so clearly though.
amazing, fucking growlings , guitars, steve , bass, Golden era
Sound incredible
DEICIDE !!! 🤘👹🤘🔥🔥🔥
Holy fucking deaht metal masterclass, sounds fucking brutal
27:35 Suicide Sacrifice! Holy shit!
HAIL DEICIDE!!!!!!!!
Total Awesomeness Death Metal!!
Deicide will never be the same until the Hoffman Brothers return.
I agree but it’s sad that they will probably never reunite with Glen.

Excellent 🎼🇲🇫🎼🤘
I was lucky enough to see them on the Once Upon The Cross tour in L.A. and they did not disappoint. I even partied with them backstage. 🤘😈🔥🔥🔥

Creepy dude with glowing eyes at like 8:00
That's light reflected of his glasses 🤓
Oh yeah, that definitely a prescription pair of glasses with a slight creep tint
replicant
This crowd is fuckin insane
DEICIDE FUCKIN SLAY.
Hoffman's rule this world!
I stopped listening to deicide when they left, last album I bought was their live album..they are deicide
@Neil DMonte from what I heard, Steve was always the main songwriter. Besides Legion, he wrote 90% of the other albums.
deicide at there best !!!
negative points because eric Hoffman is not playing a pointy guitar.
Saw them in Columbus six years after this with about ten people in attendance. All ten went apeshit and tore the place up.
Set list please

Okkvltify no. And their live guitarists always suck. That bald guy that ain't Jack Owen is real bad
Okkvltify they are not technical

You know that’s got to be some of the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard anybody say about the Amon album and the Hoffman brothers. fucking moron
heaven haven I agree with you, but I saw them with Dave Suzuki and he fucking nailed it. Other than that, you absolutely correct
Is this the same show where kiss was playing the same day and some guy dressed as gene Simmons came
