As well there is a serious fear that our now 2,5 years old boy will pick up danish very fast and we will not understand what is he saying to us 😂
we wont judge but a big part of our country will, just look how they vote.. according to some people it takes alot more then the laungege, you also need to shake hands the right way and know forgotten historie.. if our country dident care we would have taken more then 5000 refugees when sweden and germany took a million each.. insted we just clossed our borders to the people in need, because they was different.. bieng different in denmark is after all one of the biggest crimes in our culture according to many people the fact that we are the only country in schengen that feels the need for a border guard everyday to protect our culture tells alot we are also the only one that feels the need to take the values refugees bring with them after a long life... wtf..... they come to dk for help and we have a law that says we can steal from people because they are refugees
@@Hansen710 You can't teach forgotten history, that is an oxymoron, so obviously it's not forgotten. Sure, a question regarding when we last won the EU football championship is ridiculous in terms of the citizenship test. However, if you don't have state mandated Danish for immigrants, then immigrants will also get no state help to learn Danish, and if people want to integrate here, they NEED to learn Danish - it is doing immigrants an insane disservice telling them that they can do fine never learning Danish, there are huge parts of our culture you just won't get, idioms, day to day conversation if you are a non-Danish speaking person in a group of Danes, they will speak English to you and Danish with eachother, and it is entirely unreasonable to expect everyone to even be able to carry a full conversation in English, every time someone who doesn't speak Danish is around. I've acted as translator at parties, because some people don't speak English and it is unreasonable to expect them to be fluent in English when they are Danish in Denmark. Some people are shit at learning languages, some people are just old enough that English wasn't a huge focus as it is today, and so on. Each country according to the UN refugee convention is obligated to take in 1% of their total population as refugees, we took in 56.000 roughly during the Syrian refugee crisis which is roughly 1% of our total population. Germany has a population of 83 million 1% of that is 830.000 so Germany taking in a million as if it's something spectacular is mathematically ridiculous when compared to Denmark. Sweden's economy likewise tanked because of the massive amount of refugees they took in, in 2015. The idea that the Danish economy could survive an influx of 20% in population practically overnight (that is 1 million, give or take) is economically insane. They all need help, they all need to use the state services. Think about that for a second and imagine the utter chaos - it would've helped nobody, us nor the actual refugees. We didn't close our borders because people are different, we didn't close our borders at all. We took in the number of refugees that we were obligated acording to the UN. We did effectively close our borders during the covid pandemic, way more so than during the 2015 refugee crisis. About taking people's belongings, it is shitty and the law has been used about 17 times (2022) since 2015. However, it is based on the regular welfare rules, you can't get state welfare if you have more than 10.000kr in assets, but i agree that is a shitty law and i don't like Inger Støjberg, i also think it's farcical that she can even be elected after being convicted of ministerial abuse of power - That is the actual scandal, that she was even criminally convicted for some of the nonsense she pulled. Also, being different? The rules are the same whether you are from the US or Uganda, and we aren't exempt from the EU free movement of labour so obviously the laws are going to be different, but if they aren't an EU member then yeah, it sucks, but it definently isn't because they are "different" unless you define different as "non-EU member"
There’s a lot of good in both systems, but the king doesn’t really have power over the Danish system. The president of the US doesn’t act alone either - and it’s hard to compare due to the size difference and the makeup of the US with 50 state systems… not to dodge the question. It’s just not an easy answer.
Copenhagen is not like the rest of Denmark.. There is a difference between Danes in big cities and in the countryside, and a particularly big difference between Danes in Copenhagen, rather than the rest of the country..

bieng different in denmark is after all one of the biggest crimes in our culture according to many people
the fact that we are the only country in schengen that feels the need for a border guard everyday to protect our culture tells alot
we are also the only one that feels the need to take the values refugees bring with them after a long life...
wtf..... they come to dk for help and we have a law that says we can steal from people because they are refugees
Based on your experience from Denmark and the USA.
What will you change if you were president of the US or kings of Denmark 😉
There’s a lot of good in both systems, but the king doesn’t really have power over the Danish system. The president of the US doesn’t act alone either - and it’s hard to compare due to the size difference and the makeup of the US with 50 state systems… not to dodge the question. It’s just not an easy answer.
"subdued?" I think you are looking for "reserved", right?
They're synonyms - so could use that word too 😊
"sometimes" "maybe one or two times a year" xD
😉
Let's be honest now, you guys were adopted, if not honorary Danes a long time ago..
Aw ☺️
Copenhagen is not like the rest of Denmark.. There is a difference between Danes in big cities and in the countryside, and a particularly big difference between Danes in Copenhagen, rather than the rest of the country..
Every time we press upload someone from Jutland says this. We get it, you hate Copenhagen 😂
@robetrotting Copenhageners in Jutland gets beat up, Jutes in Copenhagen bi*** & moan about prices and stuff. Guess where the feelings of inadequency reside? 😜
the men in black ;)
😂 right 🖤 🖤
Living in Denmark for 7 years and STILL not speaking the language shows that you'll never be Danish.
You would NEVER have to worry about us wanting to speak to you in ANY language judging from your negative online personality. So don't worry at all about what languages we communicate in, it doesn't and won't ever impact you.
Kanalen henvender sig mest til engelsksprogede mennesker, tror jeg.
@@RobeTrotting I don't actually HAVE a negative online personality. You have been in MY country for SEVEN YEARS, and you haven't put in an effort to integrate AT ALL. You should honestly just leave. We have people fleeing wars who learn the language and SPEAK it within 6 months, and all you two do is make jokes about "rodgrod mo floe"
Bro, just stop your entire self.
Sæt i gang..
it´s not just about being queit, you also need to lie..
so many things you cant tell people where you offend people if you tell the truth....
its like the americans asking "how are you", thats how danes talk.
most danes very rare speak the truth, and there is alot og problems you cant talk to them about..
thats why i feel more at home outside my home country, not so much bullshit when it comes to the dutch for example, they will tell you whats on their mind...
and confront the problem they have in their country and life
try speaking the truth to people that have spend their life working for the goverment for example, those people live in a bubble with unicorns and flying pigs and they dont want to be disturbed by the real world and the truth
You both are becoming so danish, I love it!!! But you are still missing two things to really get there....
1. Sproget... Efter så mange år, bliver I snart nødt til at tale dansk, også selvom vi danskere er gode til engelsk...
2. A danish citizenship (but I believe you need 9 years of living here for that, so you got time to practice on your danish (we would certainly welcome you as danes 🇩🇰🇩🇰)
Danes are very racist. If you grandparents aren't born here, you're NOT a Dane. Even internally, we are racists. If you're not born in Jutland, you're not "Jyde", on Fyn, not a real "Fynbo", and so on.. So........😁 Not everyone makes planes, 30 weeks ahead..
The colour scheme is sooooo boring 😂😂😂. Not for me. You’ll never see me in black🤨
🎨 😊
Hello my beautiful gay brothers, are u guys in any community for internationals?
Hello, we do attend some events for internationals when we're made aware of them. Some we post about on Instagram when we know of them in advance 😃
Cool
But you are still talking as if you were paid pr word. Like americans.
Can you believe it - people talking on UA-cam 🤷♂️
You'll never be Danish..
Oh
Yeah, this is not representative of Danes at all. This is like 99% of people in Copenhagen - they'll tell you: This is some weird gay shit.
🙄 you seem like such a joy
@@RobeTrotting🤣🤣
Not specific gay - just "real" Danish or ("the rest of us").....hrmpf...😱
If you're a really good golfer or a bricklayer, you can wear white trousers - otherwise not. Unless of course it's important for you to signal homosexuality.
No, you are not Danish. You can live your life here, but you are not Danish.
Oh
