Thank you Bernie for your “clarity” on the snow next weekend. Looks like coastal areas such as NYC and LI will dodge a “snow” bullet! I’m kind of glad about that because I’m not a huge snow fan like I was when I was a kid! Thanks for your clear ideas among all the hype about next weekend! Merry Christmas! 🎄 🎄😊😊🇺🇸🇺🇸
Always AccuWeather this is true weather as it is more professional than those working on UA-cam payout weather channels these meteorologists actually are not some UA-cam wanna be meteorologist out there Bernie who has been a meteorologist since before UA-cam and not some UA-cam weather wanna be😊
Hang it up give it up with winter. Long range forecast shows way above average temps all the way into January 21. So best of luck with moisture and cold air.
When it's huge amounts or in areas that don't normally get much snow or snow this time of year, I think that's why they say it. Like I'm in south west PA in the area where he thinks we'll get 5 or 6 inches of snow this weekend. The first day of meteorological winter began December 1st and while it's normally cold here this time of year, we don't usually get much snow now. Normally our temperatures here are in the 40s or upper 30s unless we get this arctic air like we've been all month. Usually most of our snowfall is from January to March. Even then we mostly just get rain anymore. I can't remember the last time we had more than than 6 inches of snow at a time. We had almost 6 inches around Thanksgiving but that's the first time we've had that much snow that early in a while. There's been many years we didn't get any snow at all until well in to January. Now if this was more than 20 years ago, it wouldn't be considered historical unless it was multiple feet since we easily had many snow storms with multiple feet of snow at a time back then in my area anyway. I remember so many storms in the 80s and 90s where we got up to 3 feet from a storm. We had one winter where the snow on either side of the road I lived on was easily 10 foot high from the plows and drifting snow. You could barely even see cars in driveways. I miss snow storms like that. We just don't get big ones like that anymore, at least where I am and I'm in the Allegheny mountains in PA so higher elevation. Yesterday the models where showing some places potentially getting up to 2 feet of snow around Christmas along the coast in places like NJ, VA, NC, etc. These places never get that much snow so that would be historical for them if it ended up happening. The models have changed though since then and will many times until next week. Point is, if a place like the coast of Virginia got a foot of snow right now, that would be historic since it normally doesn't happen. If say Buffalo, New York got a foot of snow right now, no one would really bat an eye. Obviously though people are going to use buzz words like historic to get peoples attention. You see that word, you're more likely to read the article, watch the video, etc. They tend to over use these words to much now though and if they end up being wrong, it just makes people not even pay attention anymore.

@@Xessa82 , we are the same way here in the immediate New York City area. It is possible to get snow around here at this time of year (heck we had some just after Thanksgiving and again about a week ago), but to get real snow and cold, we usually don't get it until mid-to-late January. All the historic storms to hit NYC are in February and March like the March superstorm from 1993 and from 1888. We also had a few President's Day storms (as in late February), that were historic too. It's like with hurricane season; though it starts on June 1 each year, the peak of the season is in early September when you get most of your big hurricanes, it seems the same with snowstorms/nor'easters around here. Historically, we usually only get about a 25% chance of a white Xmas around here and we haven't had one (with at least an inch of snow on the ground the morning of December 25), in like 15 years now so it would be about time if this were to happen.
That’s a lotta talking to basically say nothing. Might snow. Some. Might not. This light happen. That might happen. Yea. I knew all that without watching the video.
THE BEST WEATHER MAN PERIOD!!!!!
You're usually right, Bernie

Why does everyone use the word historic when it comes to winter weather it's winter it's supposed to be cold with snow

Indiana/Notre Dame Game Friday night!
I think we’ll know better by this coming Wednesday
Why is Connecticut missing this big storm?
Whichever model shows no snow is the one thats right and everyone knows it.
THE MID OHIO VELLEY IS MY CONCERN!
Snow Saturday 12/21 may help Ohio State vs Tennessee. Might save Day's job.
Why bernie never talk about the west or midwest???
AccuWeather has always been Northeast centric.
What about Michigan?
Very inspiring! I look forward to the new episodes! 👅💋
Got a question could the I95 corridor get a snowstorm?

Y’all don’t know crap; get out. I feel those are winter storm signals for sure. Stop acting like weather channel and downplaying stuff
Nobody is 100% accurate when it comes to weather. not even them. But they are pretty accurate
@KaitlynKaylia64agree! I watch a few other UA-cam wannabes be meteorological experts and they are always wrong…
