I respect the O.G. for his passion. Nothing can rattle a man who has seen the worst and still holding up and hoping for betterment. Its one thing to read about certain struggles. Yet its another to sit back and listen to someone who has actually been through it all and has the grace to talk about it without trying to make you feel that the hope of our youths or lost. Much respect Don Dirk!

People keep putting the blame on the system. Yes the government put drugs in the ghetto and that broke up black families. That planted a seed but let's not act like the adults weren't to blame for that young boys demise. If Yummy had a strong father figure and a responsible caring mother, he would have had a different story. Raise your kids point blank simple. Take accountability.

    • @saltshakergg1813

You said it yourself the drugs messed everything up. Yummys dad was in prison for drug related crimes and his mom was addicted to crack which led her to prostitution. Also what he said in the end is straight facts how is the police not catching these murderers and all the bullshit that’s going on. But i will say you do have a point, blaming the system is NOT gonna fix this big issue instead blacks gotta stick together especially in the hoods instead of killing and robbing each other, help one another but again there’s too much pain, too much trauma in every generation starting from slavery. It’s real tough i’ve always thought about this since i was a teenager and how unfair this country treated black people, and i’m not even black but i see right through the bullshit.

Don’t really give 2 fucks what Brian Dunning has to say, between DuPont, Anslimger, Ehrlichman, the Nixon administration, JE Hoover, and potentially the CIA, I would assert that the govt/oligarchy of the US propagated a situation to keep the poor, poor. And definitely keep minorities in a place of subjugation. Society chastises Nixon, but hails Reagan. He pushed it forward. Drugs won, but so did they. Now rappers glorify the killings and money made off drugs. Drugs that kill the community. Wtf. Free Larry Hoover. Bring back the Panthers. Society is defunct by design. I can’t help but agree.

You not looking at it from a birds eye view…it wasn’t started the community but to protect it. At those time they were fighting white Rafa it’s gangs lynching and killing black ppl…after the feds took the leaders and pushed crack in to the neighborhoods it involved into what it is today and he is explaining This

@@TruckGod601 that's not what this man said in this interview. We just gotta keep it 💯 and accept the truth for what it is. Him and his peers were not trying to protect their communities when they started this. They embraced deviant behavior and their view of a gangster lifestyle of their time and at their level. Then it spiraled out of control. That's the truth.

He’s trying to say they don’t show the world the environment of his side in Chicago and the terrible conditions , but will show what they want specifically for generating sales/views.. they focused on this kid so much for wrong intentions!
