I've never met a religious person when asked, "How was the universe created?" who was honest enough to admit, "l don't know". For in the absence of evidence, one is left to guess, speculate, and assume. This is called faith!!
So while religion is afraid that you will think for yourself, atheism is afraid that you won't.

I have a PhD in Biblical Studies. Most of my friends are pastors, elders, or ministers. I have seen a lot of them go into seminary STRONG in the word and come out confused. That happens because, although Jesus was dogmatic, the seminary discourages dogma. It is a bastion of confusion where NOTHING is absolute or certain: this school of thought says this, that school of thought says that, and another school of thought says something totally different than the other two.
The problem here is seminaries teach RELIGION. None of us should be preaching, practicing, or following religion. GOD intended to have a RELATION with HIS creation. However, the adversary set up religion in an effort to place himself as a barrier between us and GOD. The goal is to force us to have to get past the devil's disciples in order to get to GOD.
The veil of the temple was torn open at the advent of the New Testament so that every man and woman can approach the throne of GOD personally. But the devil and his disciples sewed it right back up. Consequently, those of you who practice religion cannot go to GOD without going through the devil. You get confused in the process because satan is the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33).

I see a problem with that saying. I do not know all the answers but i will commit to others finding the answers aswell. The problem is if you do not know all the answers and are teaching others, then naturally and with logic says that you would be misleading people to real truth and promoting a doubting mindset. I would say that all the answers are deep within us but come out as time goes by and the more we develop a love for God. The way to know God and understand Him is by understanding relationships and the basis for how they are formed and developed. Spirituality reuqires a deeper intimacy, faithfulness, self denial and essence of love than natural relationships. Only Christianity takes us deeper and helps us explore that philosophy.

So, you think one class is going to undo centuries of research and consistent biblical interpretation by reputable scholars who fully understand the reliability and accuracy of Scripture? You're arrogant, naive and ignorant if you believe that.
Just so you know, the bible has accurately predicted over 2/3 of the world events in history and that we see happening today. The rest of its prophecies are unfolding as we speak. I grew up hearing about the new world order and a universal currency outlined in the book of Revelations. This reality is now imminent. You can keep acting cute in your pride and rejecting Christ and God His Father all you want. When judgement comes, you will remember your stubborn rebellion but it will be too late to change. If you believe Barth Ehrman has proved The Gospel to be false, you neither know The Gospel, nor Ehrman.
Firstly Ehrman is not out to, and does not claim to, prove The Gospel false. He is out to catalogue textual variances. His overall argument is that the evolution of the literature can be read through these variations. The variations themselves are for the most part minimal and of interest only to textual scholars, and are in no part of any theological or historical significance.
The Gospel is not a claim about writing, it is the claim that God is revealed to history in the Person of Christ. Appealing to textual scholarship to disprove that claim is like pointing out a spelling mistake on a box of chocolates to prove that sugar isn't sweet.

Bart Ehrman “doesn’t believe in the authority of the scripture.”

That's a big assumption...1. That she did not delve into why he did not see scripture as authoritative and 2. That she would agree with him if she had delved.
If I had to bet, I'd say she's aware of what you're saying she is not if for nothing except the writers arguing against him probably picked him apart (which is what I'm accustomed to). It's a two way street in debate and arguing to give some sort of background on the opponent and link it with some sort of error.

He’s written about three dozen books, on both the scholarly and layman level, as well as university-level textbooks, he’s a tenured professor at a respected university, and received his PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary under Bruce Metzger.

I am quite aware the textual variants have no significant impact on history or theology. Ehrman himself has made this point time and time again.
You are aware he didn’t leave the faith over this, right? It simply caused him, among most serious scholars, to forego Biblical inerrancy.

The Ministry Gifts of Christianity replaced the Jewish sects of Christ's days of Pharisees, Sadduces, Zealots, Essence and Doctors of the law (of Moses) with Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. It use to be do as they say but not as they do. But now I tell you in these last days do not what they say or what you see them do. They have all gone astray. This is what has brought on the apostasy which will lead into the last 7 years for the world to be judged.

I'm thankful that God used this to draw you closer to him. But being taught the Bible in a liberal secular school by an unbeliever is so opposite of wise, that it's downright foolish.
The professor literally told you what his agenda was on the first day. So it's no wonder you started to question your faith.

You are correct. Christianity is a religious system invented by Roman Catholics. They hijacked the scriptures, erased the Hebrew culture and made it their own. Many of them were pagans and brought there pagan ways with them (I.e. Christmas & Easter) into their newly founded religion. As I typed this I realized that you probably know this already which is why you posed the question lol. Hopefully it will edify someone else and cause them to take their questions to the Elohim (God) of the Bible to receive truth.

Why I left Christianity (among many other things) :
Deuteronomy 22:20 "But if this charge is true, and the evidence of the young lady’s virginity wasn’t found, they are to bring her to the door of her father’s house. Then the men of the city are to stone her with boulders until she dies for doing a detestable thing in Israel-acting like a prostitute while in her father’s house."
Leviticus 20:9: "For every one that curseth his father or mother shall be surely put to death."
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death.”
Leviticus 20:9: For every one that curseth his father or mother shall be surely put to death.
Numbers 31: 17-18 “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that has known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.”
Numbers 25: 8 Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the Lord against the sun.”

I'm writing this with no expectation that you'll actually read it. In my experience, people challenge the Bible and Christianity when they're not interested, not when they are.
Deut: 22:20 Is not about virginity, it's about pledging falsely in marriage. The capital punishment is for swearing falsely. Why so harsh? Because they didn't have sophisticated forensics and CCTV, their whole society was built on the sanctity of oath and pledge. Men are subjected to the same punishment for breaking their marriage oaths
      Deut 22:22
Which is it youj obeject to, not having te right to lie about the potential paternity and family lineage of children, or the severity of the punishment? Because neither would serve as the reason you left Christianity, but as the reason why you accept The Gospel.
      John 4:1-42
Lev: 20:9 We use words like bcth, ngr, muthf, hoe, dog like there's money in it (unfortunately, sign with the right record label or film and tv company and there is), but cursings according to the Torah are the same as murders. We only need to look at the effect that this language is having on our communities to know that. Honoour thy mother and thy father. No community can survive if it does not have that foundation, and anyone reading Torah must bear in mind its principle:
      John 11:47-53
Once again, this is not a reason against Christianity:
      Ephesians 6:4
      Luke 14:25-26
Leviticus 20:13 None of our contemporary sexual categories and identities have any meaning in the Torah. There are only two categories of sex in the Torah, that which situates the individual in relationship with God, and that which violates Creation and therefore violates the covenant with God. And according to Torah, life itself is covenant with God, or what we now call natural law.
      Romans 1:18-32.
Everything written, every sentence of the Torah is theological. The capital sentence is not a punishment, it is absolute rejection, because the society is one; to accept inviduals taking part in anything forbidden, is to endorse the forbidden as society, and endorse the forbidden as a society is to destroy the law and break relationsip with God, and to brea elationship with God is death, becase God is the source of life. So it becomes a question of who dies, the malefactors, or all?
Once again, this is not a reason against Christianity, but the means by which we understand the true power of The Gospel:
      Romans 2:1-11
      Matthew 7:1-2
      Galatians 3:24-27
      1 Corinthians 6: 9-17
Numbers 31:17-18 The Torah gives two choices, to the people living in the lands which God has promised to Abraham, live in covenant with God, or God will honour your covenant.
      Deut: 20:10-12
The war that the Hebrews are commanded to wage against enemies, is the war which their enemies subject others to. In the ancient world it was called a Ban. Reject the peace of God, and God will visit your way of doing things on you. And the Hebrews are not exempt.
      Exodus 34:5-8
      Deuteronmy 28:15-16
And again, this is not a reason against Christianity, this knowledge of the power of righteousness with which Christ steps into the world, and the defintion of The Gospel.
      Matthew 5:38-48
      1 Chronicles 28: 2-3
      Hosea Chapter 6
      John 2: 13-22
      Acts 17:22-32
      John 18:36
      Matthew 10:14
      2 Corinthians 10:1-6
      1 John 1:4
      Romans Chapter 12

I used to be a christian (Pentecostal) myself. For 26 years i have believed the Bible, preached it, held Bible studies, been very much involved in P&W band, evangelism, youth, prayer meetings, pretty much everything required from believer. I’ve also graduated two Bible schools, one in Romania, the other in Scotland.
To cut a long story short, in 2012 i’ve started looking at my faith in a critical way, that’s when things started to change. Although i had no idea what was going to happen, in a way unintentionally, i found myself looking at my faith from the outside-in. When you’re in it you don’t see much or nothing wrong with the Bible, but looking at it from the other side, then you get to see how bias and one-sided the christian world is and it’s apologetics.
It followed about five years of de-conversion, although i had no idea that that was happening, that was not the plan. The plan was to look at the Bible with complete honesty and an open mind to all counter arguments provided by the people from outside of the faith, by far most of them former pastors, preachers or apologists.
The conclusion was that the Bible is just another book of religious and superstitious mythology. A collection of other mythologies from the Levant (mostly) and other places. Not going to go into it here.
There are major problems with that troubled book of mythology, just like with all the other religious books.
So yes, i think you’re right, maybe i should cry, but not for myself, but for this woke woman who spreads christian dogma and propaganda to other people. That is lamentable and sad.
