Thank you everyone who is thanking me for my service. It’s appreciated but not necessary. I served in the regular, reserve and volunteer reserve of the RAF, I’d did some things which were not pleasant (looking for bodies after a terrorist attack at Lockerbie for example), but so did we all in one way or another to a greater or lesser extent. Most people did a lot more than me and are much more deserving of any praise given. I simply stood in the footsteps of much greater men and women before me, greater people took over my steps afterwards, I was merely a custodian during my time in uniform. I made this video to tell of my honouring and respecting them, not for my glorification. Best wishes Brian
Brian -- your service is remembered -- I haven't forgotten. All those who served -- in peacetime and wartime, in a pilot's seat, or at a desk -- all sacrificed their time, living circumstances, family life -- and safety -- to protect us all. I wasn't in the military, but most of my uncles served (and survived) in the US military in World War II -- and in my career I have had the opportunity to work with regular US servicemen (and women) -- all the way up to Admirals and Generals -- and the dedication, professionalism and *service* has been universal and amazing. Thank you for your service, sacrifices and willingness to serve. Cheers!
I treasure my time and my friendships working with the USAF. I lost one of my dearest friends last August, a USAF Lt Col, former Wild Weasel F4G EWO. Every Saturday we met up in a Costa coffee shop in Carlisle. I find it difficult to go into that coffee shop now. I miss his company and his reasoned arguments
Well done Brian. As an ex-REME Air Tech myself, I think of Remembrance Day as being something very special and yesterday, the 11th of November, I went to The Cenotaph to pay my respects.
What a heartfelt video, Brian. Your dedication to remembrance and honoring those who have served is truly commendable. It's inspiring to see how you balance your personal journey with such meaningful tributes. Best of luck with your new channel about your move to Cyprus-I'm sure it will be just as engaging and insightful. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for your continued support of the armed forces community. Looking forward to more of your videos!
@@ThatMicro43Guy You're very welcome! That’s awesome to hear! I’m so glad you’re loving them! Can’t wait to see what you create with it all. 😊 Keep up the amazing work!
