The only people complaining about nasus jungle are the people in low elo. In high elo, it is not as rewarding for a nasus to farm in the jungle. The enemy team will know how to play around that. It would be more punishing for nasus’s team. Even in lane, he is still not as strong, he only gets 12 stacks from cannon minions but if the enemy denies him from stacking it, he would end up with less stacks
i agree with hash about jungles just sitting on lane and still gets even with exp they should remove catch up exp and tone down bounty system and in 9.2 they're planning to lower jungle camp exp again.... imagine sej zac and rammus just waiting in that bush waiting for to last hit that cannon minion before jumping on your ass
I remember a time when tanks were totally the thing you needed to have for team fights but they could be taken on one on one by basically anybody because they didn't deal any damage. That was a good time.
Hash: "Why is there no punishment for sitting on a lane?" Actually there is. If you dont shove your lane and freeze it at your turret the enemy jungler will struggle to attack you. Thus the only thing he/she will accomplish is leaching XP from the top laner getting you ahead of 2 players. However, if you endlessly shove lane as a kled into a singed you are begging to be ganked. Singed has one of the most gank friendly kits in the game with his slow and flip, this isnt mentioning the DOT he places on you. "How does bramblevest still exist, its one of the most broken items in league of legends history." Bramblevest/Thornmail is purely designed to make champions like Kled, Yi, Jax, etc think twice before mindlessly beating on a tank. With tanks having to build FULL TANK to counteract the power spikes that jax, kled, yi, etc have, bramblevest/thornmail give them a viable option for trading with these champions. It greatly shows why you would think its broken, you do not play anything other than autoattack champions, its a direct counter to you not only for the champions you play, but for you as a player in general. "They should do an across the board nerf to every single concept that tanks have, then remove conquerer, nerf last whisper, and remove void staff" Holy... just wow this is gonna be a long one here. Doing any of this would make having a tank pointless. You would simply play... son of a bitch.... jax, kled, aatrox.... So by nerfing everything tank you would have bruisers make a heavy ass comeback to the top lane, but heres the problem with that logic... RANGED. By nerfing tanks, you would essentially say "Come back to top lane all you Kennen, Quinn, Jayce, and any ADC players that didnt get their role." The biggest direct counter to bruisers is ranged poke and hard CC. Ranged poke is easier to accomplish so players are going to en mass go that route to counter all of the new jax, kled, aatrox, and darius one tricks in top again. Although I would love to see you BEG for tanks to be buffed again if tanks were nerfed and all of these ranged champs came top again. I would pay money to see a Grasp Quinn with Demolish, Second Wind, and Unflinching VS your Jax, any build, top lane after they nerfed tanks just so I could see you complain about how "WHY DID THEY NERF TANKS AND ALLOW THESE GUYS BACK INTO TOP LANE, I WANT RANGED CHAMPS NERFED" "They aren't going to allow an entire class to just be useless" Then if you know this, why constantly shove these ludicrous statements that would make an entire class useless down our throats to try to fit your bullshit narrative to make the champions you play the only viable top laners.
with that freeze "counter", you can effectively stop the effectiveness of aggression champions who relies on early game prowess with decently timed "sit-ganks". even if u are just under tower, with the correct pick combination for top and jungle, with the current damage of the game, being at 70% HP puts you at risk of getting dived and dying because top laners run ignite. the solution is a counter-gank, which can be problematic because it demands a teamplaying early game jungler. Again, lessening solo potential as a player, and effectively making junglers too controlling early in the game.
Bramble vest and thornmail arent purely designed for that, because u can use it to other bruisers who still auto attack and theyd still get fucked, like renekton and nasus, who relies on healing too. and as his point stated, thats why conqueror exists, and thats a problem, because the game will revolve around the small champion pool of those who would want to use conqueror because fuck getting countered, not to mention conqueror still gives you true damage and AD on anyone you try to hit anyway, so fuck other autoattack bruisers too who doesnt get conqueror. Game's too reliant on certain aspects of the game, and thats Hashinshin's point. It ultimately makes the game less flexible, hence the damage heavy, faster paced game we have now with barely any effective tanks.
I'd just want tanks to actually do the things they're meant to do: TANK and CC,leading to a good control over team a team fight,their damage being mostly over time so it depends directly on how long they last in a fight. Meanwhile, Rito does the opposite and nerfs those aspects while buffing their damage, turning them into these weird lane bullies that at the end of the day ain't all that great in team fights anymore. Feels shitty for both the tank player and the one laning against him. Those Sej changes where they went on extreme ends to do exactly that are probably one of many to come... It also always baffled me that for how "creative" Riot try to be, they're only really creative when it comes to ways of doing damage. They don't take any inspirations from how other multiplayer games make tanks, mmos especially, things that could work easily. There's very few damage reflecting abilities and they are only for AAs,none for abilities, none for magic damage, very few damage debuff mechanics, no mana/energy debuffs, or things that would increase the cooldown of the enemy abilities,I could go on...there's so much to do here but none of it is explored. Prolly because anything that's not flashy enough and especially something that would REDUCE the flashiness of other champs would be considered not that fun to watch and they have been pushing the game heavily towards that aspect over the last few years,especially s8. Thornmail rework + Bramblevest addition: Bramblevest adds damage return like Bami's Cinder, reduces healing so you don't have to match a bruiser's innate HORSESHIT healing (Nasus having 12% lifesteal at level 1, ok sure, WHY THE FUCK NOT or Irelia healing on every Q, yeah makes sense.) and Bramblevest gives armor for the early game. It doesn't click for some people I guess. But thank you for saying it anyways.
How does this sound; every forth basic attack deals 2 percent max health damage and heals you for half that amount, while ignoring 50% armor for 3 second. 6 second coldown
Tank itemization hasn't been good for years, it's just Bramble Vest that's stupid and shouldn't exist. It gives tanks the ability to shutdown bruisers, which completely removes any semblance of balance this game has. Conquerer also wouldn't need to exist if bruisers had real itemization choices outside of Cleaver and Tiamat.

hashinshin is right, with all these stupid numbers, tank quickly become unstoppable in the mid game, but anti-tank items chunk the shit out of tanks, presision keystones like press the attack and conqueror is so broken it makes the entired classes of tank completely useless in the late game. tank dies in a split second in post 40 mins teamfight.
honkai you mean only conqueror, because PTA does no damage to a tank by itself. An adc with PTA might have ie and last whisper items to ignore lots of armor and do true danage crits, which is not at all PTAs fault

Depends on what direction riot wants to take her. Right now she has both sustained damage (to shit on tanks) and burst (to instakill squishy's (which requires a lot of skill to execute perfectly, don't get me wrong)). She's strong early, mid and lategame. And has a lot of shields + healing (with death's dance). She kinda does it all.
The one thing hash has said that I haven't seen elsewhere is that tank items need synergy. That's how you balance tank items so everyone else can't take advantage of good items. Bruisers can have the good one-off items like cleaver and hydra.
Thornail used to be worse if I’m not mistaken? It would deal back a percentage of the damage taken. So pretty much any champ that had high crit chance would just kill themselves by attacking.
Seems like when Hashinshin isn't screeching and tilting out of his mind, he brings up great points. I've been thinking to myself lately that league's power is getting horrifically power crept, but never thought about just how much tanks have been power crept up too.
maybe they needa turn some tank item into active items (aka bramle only gave grevious on physical damage recieved (i think it should kinda be all targeted spells too or something like that, so there is a way for tankss to get grevious on ap healers, mostly vlad,but also gunblade builders especially akali and probably a more reasonable way to deal with soraka heals if youre fighting lets sat cassio + soraka botlane, not that youd want bramble/armor for it but still) but no damage return, and give it an active that gave it the damage return for 5 sec or something, then 8 sec when upgraded to thornmail)

a Tank is completly useless if he doesnt have any damage pressure. Tank Meta is always good because when Tanks are Meta, Teamfights are always 5v5. No Splitpushing bullshit. The Game is actually a 5v5 Game when Tanks are in Meta. And thats why i love Tanks. If they dont deal any damage, then hell no nobody is gonna play them. Tanks make League of Legends a 5v5 Game and not a boring 4v4 game with 2 splitpusher fighting each other permanently with one feeding their ass off. I liked the time where you had toplane and jungle both played tanks and the rest was damage and 1 utility like janna or lulu. That was a good time because it was a real nice 5v5 game. I'm guilty of maining grasp sunfire rush sion and while I do agree with it being op in an ok team it kind of needs to be so tanks can at least try to solocarry, which bruisers do much better. I'd be fine with nerfs too though, maybe one day I'll get teammates that compare to the enemy team
thornmail isn't a tank item, it's a dueling item. sunfire cloak is a tank item. they both do about the same damage in the scenario u want them in if u work it out. sunfire is encouraging you to deal with them and thornmail is discouraging you from dealing with them. bUt hAShiNshin... if tank items are so op, why doesn't everyone build them? like he's not building them, i already know an answer cos oddone said it: "damage wins games" and u can expand that and built strategies from that. as long as a xerath can clear a wave, as long as u can facecheck bushes to ward baron with a bulkier member, as long as ur crit ADC is getting farm, u beat out cheesy un-optimal (but no player in league outside of top 500 will know that because riot has had an enforced meta where u pick a role, and your team dodges if u try anything different) . also turns out none of these armour+health items are 100% gold efficient on stats, meanwhile black cleaver: 100%, sterak's, and titanic both gold efficient when u get them as a 2nd or 3rd item. ps. before those items, you didn't have an itemisation, isn't the game in a better spot than ever for playing as a bruiser, rather than building hydra, then realising assassin olaf isn't a thing and building randuin's or maw or something, you now get powerspikes because all of your items have actives and random shields that activate that mean you can do things in a teamfight or on a dive. i do love these rant videos, i've been watching them for a while, and he's had such a long experience with different real time strategy games that i think, maybe, i respect his angle a little bit, nevertheless he acknowledges he plays the game for money, and his angle in these rants seems to come down to "if i can't play the champions i want to play in my idealist way of playing, the game is wrong," i can give an example in a realm im more comfortable with. FIFA BOYZZZ, if i play 442 i accept that any 3 man midfield formation is gonna fuck me over in the middle of the pitch, but if i get a counter attack i have 4 people forward, if he gets one, he gets 3. that's a result of the strategy i'm running, that's a pro and con of it. he plays kled, a lane bully. he knows his strategy is i win 1v1, if u camp top / make top safe i snowball and we win, on my precedence and ability to take over top side jungle. so he complains about jungles not realising that and then he gets these positions where his lane bully strat didn't work and his champion is now worthless and has no strategy. (and off that u could say fifa is a better strategy game cos u can change formation and strats rather than "me outscaled, me lose" but dont say too much). i'm pretty sure riot has massively fucked up the melee spectrum in top lane, the 2 biggest baddest lane bullies up there are jayce and fiora, they shit on everyone equally. and then the next tier of lane bullies have kled, darius and renekton, who dont bully as hard, but have some teamfighty stuff in-built, like tanky ults, self heals, light CC. and then u keep going until you're in the late game scaling, like jax, malphite, percent damage, percent healing fucks like mundo, is nautilus one? maokai. but then you realise that poppy, urgot, kennen, aatrox, akali and sion don't fit on that spectrum, there's no real weak point in their game. also Gnar exists. face it, i don't think that spectrum of melees is a thing anymore. everyone meta in top lane is always relevant, behind, ahead, can win lane, can win teamfight, and probably more important to riot can lose teamfights. they all have outplayable things. sorry i'm not an expert. anything wrong go ahead and correct it. but i dont care about your opinion if you do plan on arguing

I think void staff 100% needs a nerf to magic pen%. It should not fucking be 40%. It should be 15% and increase the Ap on the item by 40. Since the item wouldnt be great

Bramble vest is broken but thronmail is useless because they took away what made it useful the damage refelect . Tank items have not been powercreeped bramble vest is just broken in lane hash is off his rocker cause if tank items were powercreeped fighters would benifit by being able to go 2 powercreeped tank items then going power creeped adc items (which belogned to fighters first). Hash keeps confusing fighters being shit because riot doesnt give them damage on their items to keep them from adcs instead of just melee locking the items with tanks being powerful. Riot doesnt want bruisers to exist as their own class they want them to be the walking damage buff station for adcs and mages using black cleaver and abyssal mask respectively which would make them 'good' in team fights but hash keeps asking to be good in team fights (do aoe) instead of just doing your job in teamfights by doing single target damage to a high priority target assuming that mages and adcs stop getting more and more defensive failsafes for being caught. Bramble wasnt made to be 'anti bruiser' it was made to be anti adc while nerfing the thornmail that was actually anti adc and to give tanks a way to use grevious wounds so adcs didnt use them as mobile healing stations. It happened to fuk over fighters in the laning phase because fighters do less damage than adcs per auto attack and most fighters dont have sustain or build it anymore because they have to build enough defense to survive or forgo all defense to build damage to basicly be an assassin instead of a fighter ie look at hash's build and his build in all these videos (only fiora is diffrent because fiora is basicly ranged with her q), thats just hash talking bullshit. And Thornmail having damage for hitting it and having an attack speed slow is anti synergising with itself and a 1second grevious wounds proc is absolutely nothing they if bramble and thornmail can only get a 1 second proc then Executioners calling and mortal reminder need a .5 second proc. 250hp for 20 armor was not worth it espeically when thornmail was THE big armor buy item.

@@Ephringael That would be a joke nerf because 1 Tanks easily surpass 100 damage and usually go from bramble vest into bambi's cinder into sunfire cape. Viktor being a mage doesnt rely on auto attack so he doesnt have to worry about procing bramble vest and even when he does auto attack he does it after casting q so the damage would be absorbed by viktors shield. It's a problem for fighters because they rely on auto weaving to do any damage and riot took away their raw damage on their items and supplemented it with less than equal health. while magic resist is such a garbage stats on base stats and items that you'd need 2 full magic resist items to start dropping damage from bramble cinderhulk tank skills and mage skills but fighters cant build more than one slot for magic resist due to having to build at least 2 armor items to survive walking in an adcs poke range and having to build 3 damage items or else they cant do anything to an adc mage or assassin who comes after them.

@@ChoppersRevenge I don't disagree with his opinion on voidstaff, MR itemizations is horrible and FoN should be brought back, but to say bramble is broken is ridiculous. It does nine damage after resistances, about once every second only when you auto attack a given champion, and applies grievous wounds for one second. The reason he finds it so strong, is because he chooses, mind you, chooses, to play champions that are auto attack reliant, and include some sort of auto attack reset or other way to increase the attack speed. That, of course, causes him to take more damage from bramble. However, bramble also reduces the attack speed of the attacker, which he himself pointed out. That actually makes the item less efficient as a source of damage after the first hit, and also assumes your opponent had that high of attack speed to begin with. Chances are, its going to return 9 damage every 1.3 seconds. This is also assuming the person with a bramble has a combined armor value of at least 100 by the time he completes it. Otherwise, the damage is lower. Do you know why bramble has all that stuff it does? I'll let you in on a little secret, its because otherwise its only 70% gold efficient. 30% of the gold cost has to be made up elsewhere because resistances are shit, and have been shit since season 3.
I dont think they power crept tank items. Or rather they did, but only armor which was kinda necessary considering what they did to adcs. Also: Fiora. And dont even get me started on magic resist. There are a lot of decent armor items, but mr ? Nothing. And even if you buy the shitty mr-items that are in the game, void-staff exists, so gg.

The only people complaining about nasus jungle are the people in low elo. In high elo, it is not as rewarding for a nasus to farm in the jungle. The enemy team will know how to play around that. It would be more punishing for nasus’s team. Even in lane, he is still not as strong, he only gets 12 stacks from cannon minions but if the enemy denies him from stacking it, he would end up with less stacks

Actually there is. If you dont shove your lane and freeze it at your turret the enemy jungler will struggle to attack you. Thus the only thing he/she will accomplish is leaching XP from the top laner getting you ahead of 2 players. However, if you endlessly shove lane as a kled into a singed you are begging to be ganked. Singed has one of the most gank friendly kits in the game with his slow and flip, this isnt mentioning the DOT he places on you.

Bramblevest/Thornmail is purely designed to make champions like Kled, Yi, Jax, etc think twice before mindlessly beating on a tank. With tanks having to build FULL TANK to counteract the power spikes that jax, kled, yi, etc have, bramblevest/thornmail give them a viable option for trading with these champions.
It greatly shows why you would think its broken, you do not play anything other than autoattack champions, its a direct counter to you not only for the champions you play, but for you as a player in general.

Doing any of this would make having a tank pointless. You would simply play... son of a bitch.... jax, kled, aatrox....
So by nerfing everything tank you would have bruisers make a heavy ass comeback to the top lane, but heres the problem with that logic... RANGED. By nerfing tanks, you would essentially say "Come back to top lane all you Kennen, Quinn, Jayce, and any ADC players that didnt get their role."
The biggest direct counter to bruisers is ranged poke and hard CC. Ranged poke is easier to accomplish so players are going to en mass go that route to counter all of the new jax, kled, aatrox, and darius one tricks in top again.
Although I would love to see you BEG for tanks to be buffed again if tanks were nerfed and all of these ranged champs came top again. I would pay money to see a Grasp Quinn with Demolish, Second Wind, and Unflinching VS your Jax, any build, top lane after they nerfed tanks just so I could see you complain about how "WHY DID THEY NERF TANKS AND ALLOW THESE GUYS BACK INTO TOP LANE, I WANT RANGED CHAMPS NERFED"

with that freeze "counter", you can effectively stop the effectiveness of aggression champions who relies on early game prowess with decently timed "sit-ganks". even if u are just under tower, with the correct pick combination for top and jungle, with the current damage of the game, being at 70% HP puts you at risk of getting dived and dying because top laners run ignite. the solution is a counter-gank, which can be problematic because it demands a teamplaying early game jungler. Again, lessening solo potential as a player, and effectively making junglers too controlling early in the game.
Bramble vest and thornmail arent purely designed for that, because u can use it to other bruisers who still auto attack and theyd still get fucked, like renekton and nasus, who relies on healing too. and as his point stated, thats why conqueror exists, and thats a problem, because the game will revolve around the small champion pool of those who would want to use conqueror because fuck getting countered, not to mention conqueror still gives you true damage and AD on anyone you try to hit anyway, so fuck other autoattack bruisers too who doesnt get conqueror. Game's too reliant on certain aspects of the game, and thats Hashinshin's point. It ultimately makes the game less flexible, hence the damage heavy, faster paced game we have now with barely any effective tanks.
I'd just want tanks to actually do the things they're meant to do: TANK and CC,leading to a good control over team a team fight,their damage being mostly over time so it depends directly on how long they last in a fight. Meanwhile, Rito does the opposite and nerfs those aspects while buffing their damage, turning them into these weird lane bullies that at the end of the day ain't all that great in team fights anymore. Feels shitty for both the tank player and the one laning against him. Those Sej changes where they went on extreme ends to do exactly that are probably one of many to come...
It also always baffled me that for how "creative" Riot try to be, they're only really creative when it comes to ways of doing damage. They don't take any inspirations from how other multiplayer games make tanks, mmos especially, things that could work easily. There's very few damage reflecting abilities and they are only for AAs,none for abilities, none for magic damage, very few damage debuff mechanics, no mana/energy debuffs, or things that would increase the cooldown of the enemy abilities,I could go on...there's so much to do here but none of it is explored. Prolly because anything that's not flashy enough and especially something that would REDUCE the flashiness of other champs would be considered not that fun to watch and they have been pushing the game heavily towards that aspect over the last few years,especially s8.

Tank itemization hasn't been good for years, it's just Bramble Vest that's stupid and shouldn't exist. It gives tanks the ability to shutdown bruisers, which completely removes any semblance of balance this game has. Conquerer also wouldn't need to exist if bruisers had real itemization choices outside of Cleaver and Tiamat.

honkai you mean only conqueror, because PTA does no damage to a tank by itself. An adc with PTA might have ie and last whisper items to ignore lots of armor and do true danage crits, which is not at all PTAs fault

Depends on what direction riot wants to take her. Right now she has both sustained damage (to shit on tanks) and burst (to instakill squishy's (which requires a lot of skill to execute perfectly, don't get me wrong)). She's strong early, mid and lategame. And has a lot of shields + healing (with death's dance). She kinda does it all.

The one thing hash has said that I haven't seen elsewhere is that tank items need synergy. That's how you balance tank items so everyone else can't take advantage of good items. Bruisers can have the good one-off items like cleaver and hydra.

Thornail used to be worse if I’m not mistaken? It would deal back a percentage of the damage taken. So pretty much any champ that had high crit chance would just kill themselves by attacking.
Seems like when Hashinshin isn't screeching and tilting out of his mind, he brings up great points. I've been thinking to myself lately that league's power is getting horrifically power crept, but never thought about just how much tanks have been power crept up too.

a Tank is completly useless if he doesnt have any damage pressure. Tank Meta is always good because when Tanks are Meta, Teamfights are always 5v5. No Splitpushing bullshit. The Game is actually a 5v5 Game when Tanks are in Meta. And thats why i love Tanks. If they dont deal any damage, then hell no nobody is gonna play them. Tanks make League of Legends a 5v5 Game and not a boring 4v4 game with 2 splitpusher fighting each other permanently with one feeding their ass off. I liked the time where you had toplane and jungle both played tanks and the rest was damage and 1 utility like janna or lulu. That was a good time because it was a real nice 5v5 game. Everyone grouped in the mid game and was fighting for objectives.

I'm guilty of maining grasp sunfire rush sion and while I do agree with it being op in an ok team it kind of needs to be so tanks can at least try to solocarry, which bruisers do much better. I'd be fine with nerfs too though, maybe one day I'll get teammates that compare to the enemy team
thornmail isn't a tank item, it's a dueling item. sunfire cloak is a tank item. they both do about the same damage in the scenario u want them in if u work it out. sunfire is encouraging you to deal with them and thornmail is discouraging you from dealing with them.
bUt hAShiNshin... if tank items are so op, why doesn't everyone build them? like he's not building them, i already know an answer cos oddone said it: "damage wins games" and u can expand that and built strategies from that. as long as a xerath can clear a wave, as long as u can facecheck bushes to ward baron with a bulkier member, as long as ur crit ADC is getting farm, u beat out cheesy un-optimal (but no player in league outside of top 500 will know that because riot has had an enforced meta where u pick a role, and your team dodges if u try anything different) . also turns out none of these armour+health items are 100% gold efficient on stats, meanwhile black cleaver: 100%, sterak's, and titanic both gold efficient when u get them as a 2nd or 3rd item. ps. before those items, you didn't have an itemisation, isn't the game in a better spot than ever for playing as a bruiser, rather than building hydra, then realising assassin olaf isn't a thing and building randuin's or maw or something, you now get powerspikes because all of your items have actives and random shields that activate that mean you can do things in a teamfight or on a dive.
i do love these rant videos, i've been watching them for a while, and he's had such a long experience with different real time strategy games that i think, maybe, i respect his angle a little bit, nevertheless he acknowledges he plays the game for money, and his angle in these rants seems to come down to "if i can't play the champions i want to play in my idealist way of playing, the game is wrong,"
i can give an example in a realm im more comfortable with. FIFA BOYZZZ, if i play 442 i accept that any 3 man midfield formation is gonna fuck me over in the middle of the pitch, but if i get a counter attack i have 4 people forward, if he gets one, he gets 3. that's a result of the strategy i'm running, that's a pro and con of it. he plays kled, a lane bully. he knows his strategy is i win 1v1, if u camp top / make top safe i snowball and we win, on my precedence and ability to take over top side jungle. so he complains about jungles not realising that and then he gets these positions where his lane bully strat didn't work and his champion is now worthless and has no strategy. (and off that u could say fifa is a better strategy game cos u can change formation and strats rather than "me outscaled, me lose" but dont say too much).
i'm pretty sure riot has massively fucked up the melee spectrum in top lane, the 2 biggest baddest lane bullies up there are jayce and fiora, they shit on everyone equally. and then the next tier of lane bullies have kled, darius and renekton, who dont bully as hard, but have some teamfighty stuff in-built, like tanky ults, self heals, light CC. and then u keep going until you're in the late game scaling, like jax, malphite, percent damage, percent healing fucks like mundo, is nautilus one? maokai. but then you realise that poppy, urgot, kennen, aatrox, akali and sion don't fit on that spectrum, there's no real weak point in their game. also Gnar exists. face it, i don't think that spectrum of melees is a thing anymore. everyone meta in top lane is always relevant, behind, ahead, can win lane, can win teamfight, and probably more important to riot can lose teamfights. they all have outplayable things.

I dont think they need to remove thornmail, just bring it back to what it used to be.
Bramble vest is broken but thronmail is useless because they took away what made it useful the damage refelect . Tank items have not been powercreeped bramble vest is just broken in lane hash is off his rocker cause if tank items were powercreeped fighters would benifit by being able to go 2 powercreeped tank items then going power creeped adc items (which belogned to fighters first). Hash keeps confusing fighters being shit because riot doesnt give them damage on their items to keep them from adcs instead of just melee locking the items with tanks being powerful. Riot doesnt want bruisers to exist as their own class they want them to be the walking damage buff station for adcs and mages using black cleaver and abyssal mask respectively which would make them 'good' in team fights but hash keeps asking to be good in team fights (do aoe) instead of just doing your job in teamfights by doing single target damage to a high priority target assuming that mages and adcs stop getting more and more defensive failsafes for being caught.
Bramble wasnt made to be 'anti bruiser' it was made to be anti adc while nerfing the thornmail that was actually anti adc and to give tanks a way to use grevious wounds so adcs didnt use them as mobile healing stations. It happened to fuk over fighters in the laning phase because fighters do less damage than adcs per auto attack and most fighters dont have sustain or build it anymore because they have to build enough defense to survive or forgo all defense to build damage to basicly be an assassin instead of a fighter ie look at hash's build and his build in all these videos (only fiora is diffrent because fiora is basicly ranged with her q), thats just hash talking bullshit. And Thornmail having damage for hitting it and having an attack speed slow is anti synergising with itself and a 1second grevious wounds proc is absolutely nothing they if bramble and thornmail can only get a 1 second proc then Executioners calling and mortal reminder need a .5 second proc. 250hp for 20 armor was not worth it espeically when thornmail was THE big armor buy item.

Viktor being a mage doesnt rely on auto attack so he doesnt have to worry about procing bramble vest and even when he does auto attack he does it after casting q so the damage would be absorbed by viktors shield.
It's a problem for fighters because they rely on auto weaving to do any damage and riot took away their raw damage on their items and supplemented it with less than equal health. while magic resist is such a garbage stats on base stats and items that you'd need 2 full magic resist items to start dropping damage from bramble cinderhulk tank skills and mage skills but fighters cant build more than one slot for magic resist due to having to build at least 2 armor items to survive walking in an adcs poke range and having to build 3 damage items or else they cant do anything to an adc mage or assassin who comes after them.

Tank items are stupidly strong within the first 5-10 minutes you buy them, but late game you might as well sell em and go full dmg, cause you will die just as fast. The reason he finds it so strong, is because he chooses, mind you, chooses, to play champions that are auto attack reliant, and include some sort of auto attack reset or other way to increase the attack speed. That, of course, causes him to take more damage from bramble. However, bramble also reduces the attack speed of the attacker, which he himself pointed out. That actually makes the item less efficient as a source of damage after the first hit, and also assumes your opponent had that high of attack speed to begin with. Chances are, its going to return 9 damage every 1.3 seconds. This is also assuming the person with a bramble has a combined armor value of at least 100 by the time he completes it. Otherwise, the damage is lower.
Do you know why bramble has all that stuff it does? I'll let you in on a little secret, its because otherwise its only 70% gold efficient. 30% of the gold cost has to be made up elsewhere because resistances are shit, and have been shit since season 3.

I dont think they power crept tank items. Or rather they did, but only armor which was kinda necessary considering what they did to adcs. Also: Fiora. And dont even get me started on magic resist. There are a lot of decent armor items, but mr ? Nothing. And even if you buy the shitty mr-items that are in the game, void-staff exists, so gg.
