I have been a huge protestor of Ruroc helmets. They look good and that is about it. They have no business sitting in the price point that they are sitting in.
All the pricey ones are carbon fiber. They have street ones that look the same that are $200. The pricey ones are the median amount carbon fiber helmets go for.
I honestly have that same helmet (the orange one) on my cart ready to purchase it. But after I will go continue doing my research. Thanks for the honest review!! Ride safe!
I've got the Atlas 4.0 and had the same issue as you when I removed the cheek pads to put in the speakers. The red plastic part that clips the cheek pad in, came off so I had to superglue it back in. Build quality is pretty poor, however it is my go to helmet at the moment as the comfort is the best I've experienced so far and the Shockwave intercom is brilliant and lasts all day. I would buy another one but only on sale!
as an owner of the 4.0 for more than a year now, daily usage. i recommend buying another brand. wind noise is loud and when driving in rain, it will rain just as hard inside of the visor as on the outside. the looks and shockwave is nice for solo riding and listening to music, but pairing via the app with other riders just doesnt work properly.
I’m waiting on a response to see if a bigger size could mitigate some of the issues like the visor and I’m hoping I just got a bad helmet and that’s why it came unglued. When I get the new one I’ll post another updated video.
In my opinion they are pretty poor in all areas, helmets look great but are a bit naff, but the customers service was awful. I ordered an atlas 2 and similarly it started to instantly fall apart, it also was very loud and vents were an issue, but as I took the film off visor I wasn't allowed a replacement, as I pointed out to them the issue with vents only appears on bike so how without testing would I know this but they stonewalled me only offer was discount of a future purchase but given video nothing has changed 😢
Just got my exchange for a larger size today and the helmet is still so damn tight. I went from medium to large. Is there a way to take a layer of padding out and still meet safety requirements? I spent over 500 for this thing and expected it to fit well. I’m also disappointed.
I have the atlus 4.0 storm trooper and now i just got the ignis eox today and i can say its a better helmet than the atlus , the visor is far easier to lift than the eox but i haven’t seen this issue yet , the cheek pads are a little fiddly but it will go back in, i put the thinner cheek pads in and it fits alot better on the medium size but i should have mayne sized up The same thing happened with my atlus about the rubber part comimg loose , i just put super glue on mine 😂
this right here. I had the same issue with the liner and just got a tube of gorilla glue and moved on. Pretending the helmet is shit though always gets me. I've had 2 4.0s, one had that issue and the other had none. I'm not saying they're the best helmets but far from the travesty people claim they are.
Few hours purchased, already pieces coming off and loud af... yeah, not going for it or any of Ruroc products. They had a clothing line, EngineHawk, got to win one of theyre giveaway jackets and it is a brilliant piece of jacket. To bad they went missing.
Noise of a helmet depends on motorcycle as well. On my sports bike the Ruroc is the loudest, on my cruiser it’s the most quiet helmet I own (out of 8 different helmets)
Icon is a mid-grade helmet. Ruroc tries to be a higher-end helmet, but they really aren't worth the price. If Ruroc priced their helmets similar to Icon and other mid-grade helmets, it might be worth it, but for the price, you are better off with a Shoei or Arai.
@@abruptv8727 It's a shame, because they are good looking helmets. Took them 4 times to try to get the Atlas right, and they never did, now they just changed the name to EOX hoping to fool riders that it's better.
@@abruptv8727i REAAAALLY want the EOX liquid carbon and í wouldn’t mind the glue problem, do you then recommend it? Is it a reasonable helmet just overpriced or?
Thanks for the video, bro! I had their helmet a while as well and I had the same problem with the glue. I’m glad they didn’t purchase any of their products after that.
I’m just hoping that I got a bad apple. I’m talking with their support to get me another one and I’ll make a video on that. So hopefully they new one won’t be as bad
Bro. I’ve had a Ruroc since 3.0. Their quality is less than what it was. I also ride a naked and I’m looking at a Shoei X15. I sized it up and it fit perfect to my measurements right out of the box in store. Checkout the x15. I did tons of research, now you don’t have to.
If I had to guess, it's because the new eox are ece 22.06 certified. Which is a big deal regardless of their past issues. But I'm still not sure if I'd trust them. Too bad helmets like shoei don't have cooler graphics.

I was at the point of buying a ruroc last month, lucky i bought a scorpion though

I had the same issue swapping cheek pads.

Thanks for the video though, very useful.
If you like this sort of look, go with the Arai XD-4 and remove the peak.
I’ll look into those thank you

Porque você não faz um vídeo colocando o capacete na cabeça pra ver como fica ?
That’s a good question. It’s like a half size too small so I’m waiting on a new one to make a second video
Thanks ! I was just about to pull the gun on one!
