Born in Mtl 1949. Moved away 1n 1982 for economic reasons. The opening scene almost reminds me of a German newsreel from the 30"s. But those were the days. Notice caucasian faces exclusively. A lot different today. Elm trees downtown. Then the Dutch elm disease took over in the mid sixties. Streetcars! I remember riding the Rosemont sreetcar with my grandmother. Also took the streecar to belmont park. I believe Expo 67 was the Climax of Montreal's glory days. The memories remain but the city, as every other city in the world, has changed. For the better or for the worse?... your interpretation I guess.

Parce-que c'est un documentaire destiné aux touristes, principalement aux américains.

Parce que le Québec était (et est toujours) une colonie.

Je regrette, mais cela ne fait aucun sens. Au Québec on parle français en ce qui me concerne.
