Totally wasn’t expecting Kesha to collaborate with the Struts, but I’ve got to admit that they sound great together.
Aaron Landry they blew me away! Kesha was amazing as is and the struts as well. But their voices complement eachother so well it’s like they came out of the 60’s and 70’s. The era in which they would have shined. I hope they collab more!

The most disappointing thing about popular music is that it's never energetic like this song! This song does a fantastic job of hyping you up, making you feel happy or motivated!! I feel like most popular music nowadays doesn't really spark those kinds of emotions from you; a lot of it's just monotone and repetitive... I honestly love when the west had songs and bands like this though, that make me wanna do something cheerful whether it's 2am or 2pm :D

@LlamassRuthless Some popular songs are energetic, but part of the issue is also the content of the song yknow? Like a lot of popular songs are either rap (which tends to be a guy with an unappealing voice talking over a beat which doesn't match at all; I've found many songs like this) or pop music which tends to be overshadowed a bit in the west by the former type. The vibe for these songs can sometimes be enjoyable and even catchy, but the content tends to be bland. I don't feel inspired by music where the artist flaunts their money, brags about how they are better than everyone else, put others down and overall just brag about sex and superiority. The west lacks a lot of songs that genuinely inspire you to write or draw or dance in the middle of the hallway. It's not just energy, it's also the vibe and meaning of the song (and I'm definitely not slandering all "popular" music. There are some songs I enjoy that would be considered quite popular, it's just that there are also many that bother me because they lack the energy songs like this one has)
The west has lost some of that charm, but one should never make a song where the audience feels nothing but vague indifference to it. The true purpose of art to the extent of movies and tv shows was always to make the listener feel something. No one wants to make a movie that leaves the audience completely unaffected by it. Movies have the goal of making the audience happy or sad, to make them feel loved or to make them reflect on the world. It's to make a connection between the movie and the audience. Music is largely like that, where a song should be made to express emotions the songwriter is feeling that a listener might be able to relate to. That's why so many people enjoy/write songs about love : because almost everyone's experienced feelings like that before. But a large amount of the public can't and shouldn't necessarily be able to connect to songs about meaningless sex, being rich and disrespecting other people.
In the large majority of popular music, this connection is nonexistent, so it fuels no emotional reaction. If music can't change anyone's life, whether by cheering them up on a horrible day or inspiring them to create something of their own, why should it be praised so much?
(This is all my opinion btw, hope it doesn't seem rude, I just have a lot to say about this topic ;-;)

My cousin took me to The Nights We Stole Christmas Night 3 featuring Meg Myers, The Struts, and Awolnation back in 2015 as an early Christmas present and been obsessed with The Struts ever since. We both agreed that The Struts were the most entertaining and interactive of the three since Luke taught the crowd what they're supposed to do for just about every song, if not every song, before they started really playing. Made their performance a lot more entertaining and enjoyable for those had never seen nor heard of them before that night such as my cousin and myself. I repeat, been obsessed with them since 2015!! 😁👍👍

As a lover of rock n roll, I am loving the music that the struts are making. It is said enough but again rock n roll has gone to sleep ( god i don't wanna say dead) and it has been a long time. Listening to their song Kiss This and Primadonna Like Me almost made me cry because at least some group is trying to bring that energy , such a rich energy. I hope The Struts can successfully extend the road for rock n roll into this century and finally rock n roll will rise again!

Kesha looks like a mix between Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley, Luke is very inspired by Freddie's style, but his moves are precise to those of Michael Jackson and his outfit here is very similar to Michael's "bad" video mixed with "Thriller. ". So, rock'n roll be with us. A fantastic duo and a fabulous friendship in my opinion that between these two artists❤
