Thank you. Was unable to exit recovery loop even when entering dfu mode unless I erased and restored the iPhone. This allowed me to break the loop and boot normal.

I’ve had both of the problems with the same phone (where it said I needed my iTunes) but recently it started doing the black screen thing. I could tell something was wrong the second it happened because the apple logo stayed for a small amount of time. For the black screen problem, if you don’t have a PC or iTunes, pressing on the area under the flashlight and back camera really hard works for me, and after around 30 seconds of pressing, do a [hard] reset on it (make sure your phone isn’t connected to a charger or anything, idk why but it won’t turn back on if it is). Worked for me the past ten times. The black screen always happens when it dies, probably because I’ve water damaged it 3 times. I get a heart attack every single time but it ends up working in the end. Hope it helps :)
Short: if stuck on black screen (without iTunes), press hard on the area below the flashlight and back camera for about 30 seconds, then hard reset. Make sure your phone isn’t connected to a charger. Works for my 6s

if you hold the power button and home button for a couple seconds the screen will turn black and then after that you just hold the power button and it'll startup your phone again.
cappo I did know that method, but I did tried that on my phone a long time ago and it would work sometimes but not always. I do prefer using the computer version because it will always work if you use ReiBoot or the restore with iTunes method.

Posting this same comment on other videos because I felt the need to share just in case anyone else has been having the same problem:
My phone was having the same issues (black screen) and I could hear calls and messages but the screen would not turn on. Thought it was weird because I had been charging my phone while in my car. Suddenly the screen went black and no matter how many times I tried restarting my phone the screen remained black/dark. I tried restarting and connecting my phone to my macbook but no luck. Months ago I replaced my screen because I cracked it and luckily my husband had the bright idea of installing the old screen and voilà, we were able to see the screen! (woo hoo). My advice is to take the phone apart, as though you are going to replace the screen because it could in fact be a glitch within the blacklight/screen. Hope this works for anyone else having this problem :)

Hey there, I have a 6s but the problem is a little different. My computer won’t detect it and it’s not showing any sign of life. We have it opened now. The simple battery disconnect and reconnect thing didn’t work.
I am trying to fix a family members iphone 6s plus and I am having a similar issue. The screen is completely black no signs of life but I connected the phone to the computer let it sit for an hour and did a hard reset and the little phone icon popped up on itunes, but now it wont update it will start to and then just never finishes. And I am not even backing it up I just want to turn it back on. Did you find a solution yet or did you throw in the towel?
We haven’t tried what we think it is because it’s something I doubt we will get first try, like replacing the logic board. It sounds like a boot loop and the only way I have found to fix that is restoring (or whatever its called) I’ll try to do what you did but I kinda doubt it will work because something in that phone I’m working in it is fried. I’ll go try and update later. Also might not want to go with too much of my advice unless your fine with loosing data. I’ve been working on IPods (4th gen) and the 6s. Hope it gets back to working!

Antonio Diaz Make sure you have the desktop version of iTunes installed, not the windows 10 version or else it won’t be able to find it.

i downloaded REiboot and when i try and open it, it tells me to download itunes when i have it already and its open how do i get it to open
Shawn Hall You need to install the one that says "iTunes for Windows". Installing it from the windows store or the windows 10 version won’t be able to find it so when you download it just choose the one that just says iTunes for Windows, not the windows store or windows 10 only! www.apple.com/itunes/download/

You need to have iTunes installed through the desktop version (not the Microsoft Store version). ReiBoot only detects iTunes with desktop version installed only. You can get it through the apple website that just says for windows only and not from the windows store

Mahir Singh What iPhone are you using for this tutorial? And is it plugged into the PC correctly? You should see where it says what your iPhone and iOS version you’re trying to fix in the top of the buttons on ReiBoot

Gurneyman flash with ios 13.3.1 using 3utools literally saved my entire phone.
Gurneyman like, my phone killed itself and refused to exit recovery mode when i used itunes or when i flashed with older iOS’s. The new beta that just came out literally was the only one that actually flashed my phone and worked.

iTunes failed to factory reset my phone. Now my screen when trying to turn it on says "Support.apple.com/iphone/restore"
I plugged my phone in. Itunes saw the problem, I hit restore, it failed AGAIN mid restore and now itunes is not detecting my phone, at all.
Neither is my laptop, or my other PC. I even bought 3 different cables to be sure.

rong chocho When it told you to download iTunes, do you have iTunes installed as a windows 10 version or just the desktop version? I know Reiboot won’t detect iTunes if it’s the windows 10 version only, it will only find it if you just download it regularly (desktop version)

the laptop did detect it but i can't restore it because when the updating finished it just says error and i tried to do it many times... btw i charged it the whole day and i think that is why the laptop is able to detect it.
