@grassroots I think that you don't understand that there is a difference between irreparable damage and damage that can go away with time.
"Ruined someones life" would apply to the woman who can no longer find decent work, and who also got sued because of a plastic surgery ad that lied about her.
In regards to the bullying, that can be dealt with through therapy, or in my case (I was bullied for 10 years straight, so I do know what I'm talking about) growing some thick skin to be able to shrug the nonsense off. Some people can't do that, I fully understand that. Those are the people who end up needing psychological therapy. Others like me grow mental armor, and it stops mattering.
