Very nice review. Daifuku was the cutest! I loved all the LI & their stories, that it became my favorite otome. I got post route depression with Akaza hahaha and you understand the sexiness in Akaza's seiyuu! I'm still fangirling!
Thank you! I even liked Romeo better 😂 You're so right, all LIs are great and have gripping stories. I know that post route depression, it's horrible, hope you can cope though.
Linlin oh my god! You did such a great job reviewing and capturing my attention to this game! I am soooo looking forward to fangirling about this one with you (when I get it). I am excited mostly for Yasuga and you described him soo nicely~ and the bgm is really pretty too. Looking forward for you to read more otomes and review them!!!
Oh thanks ❤️ so you're sure you want to play it? Yosuga is great, but all the LIs have their own appeal in some way. Right? I can't get enough of the soundtrack!
Just found your channel & I like your enthusiasm & the way you explain things. I preordered this game in English & I can’t wait to actually play/read it after wanting it for so long! Watching your review has gotten me even more excited & impatient lol 😭😭 I’ll subscribe for sure 🥰🥰
Just found your channel while searching for some otome recommendations and I liked you, but that doesn't mean we have the same interests so I thought I'd check out your review of my favorite VN (not that I've read many): Olympia Soirée. And omg was I not disappointed! Yosuga is my husbando, hands down (And I also agreed with the more serious review stuff in your video, like feeling like I could actually find my way around that island even though we never walk anywhere or see a map) ... I'd be so, so happy if they made a fandisc for Olympia Soirée
@@kacheek9101 nice to meet you! Yeah, it's always best to hear multiple opinions on games right? No one has the same taste 😊 Glad you also like Yosuga! 🥰 He's just alluring and enchanting 🥵 You felt the same? That's so interesting to know! I think to this day this game feels the most lively to me? Though Mistonia actually evoked a similar feeling Definitely, but so far no signs of it
new subber and fellow long time otome gamer here and i really like your content! the way you talk and describe stuff is always filled with emotion and excitement which makes you very fun to watch ❤ but yeah, i just wanted to also comment on your opinion on akaza's voice bc he is my oshi and yes, his voice is soooo soothing to the ears haha. he is voiced by the lovely and talented matsuoka yoshitsugu✨️ i know a lot of people who were impressed by his va work esp his work on genshin impact as the vigilant yaksha, xiao. one of my friends even said that hearing his voice was like rubbing soft and smooth butter all around your eardrums 😂😂
great review! you've inspired me to pick up my jp copy again 🥰 will have to do my best not to get discouraged by some of the unusual kanji this time 😅 tokisada is so cute, i'm most excited for his route!
Really? That makes me feel very honoured, because that's what I want to do with this channel, encourage people to learn Japanese with otome games. I know, those kanji are so hard...from time to time I checked with a summary to make sure I got everything right, maybe that helps? But it's already great that you have a Japanese copy? Did you also play other games in Japanese? Tokisada really is surprisingly cute, I don't think you will be disappointed!
@@LinLinLavender finding your channel has helped get me out of a months-long slump, i’m feeling much more motivated to pick up the games i started, so thank you for that! ❤ the worst is looking up a kanji only to find that it’s just an alternative form of an otherwise super common word lol… checking out summaries is a good idea, i’ll definitely do that. i’ve played bits and pieces of nightshade, amnesia, starry sky, dialovers, and collar x malice in japanese, but the only otome game i’ve 100% completed so far is piofiore in english. are you thinking of picking up shuuen no virche? i’ve been eyeing it since it was first announced and love the look of it but i’m a little intimidated 😳
@@psoglavi Oh, that makes me very happy 🥰 good luck with your play-learning! I know that feeling, it's like why do I have to do the work, just because they chose to use a fancy kanji? But my impression is that the longer you play the game the more you get used to the choice of kanji (and of course words) of the writer. So you did like Piofiore best? (Me too 😁) Yes, I actually pre-ordered it and hope it will be fun. So far I'm sure it will be very dark and angsty. But if it's pretty, I'm in ;) Difficulty wise it's definitely a bit more difficult, but I'm sure after a few hours you will have learned most of the fantasy/sci-fi vocabulary - at least I hope so. I will definitely talk about that in my review, as soon as I finish it, though that might take a few weeks.
@@LinLinLavender i agree. thankfully they do seem to stick with their unusual choices for the most part, so it’s simple enough to get used to them over time. it was definitely a little rough in the beginning though! it’s my favorite so far! i liked that they didn’t shy away from especially disturbing themes, given the mafia setting. i had to take a little break after orlok’s bad end. that one really got to me. he was the LI i liked the most 😔 the gloomy gothic setting is what drew me, so if they don’t crank the angst up to the max i’ll be a little disappointed! 😂 are there any character routes you’re most excited for? i’ll be looking forward to your review!
@@psoglavi But we can do it! I also totally adore the mafia theme Orlok's bad ending was really the worst, I couldn't believe what was happening...he's just too cute.. so unfair... I can only talk about the first chapter, but there was a lot of blood, so I don't think you will be disappointed ;) Hm...I want to know what Lucas' secret is..design wise probably Scien, but I love Adolphe's CG from the promotional material...and Ankou is so mysterious 😱 aaargh! I guess except for Yves I'm looking forward to all of them 😂 because I kind of expect Yves to be the typical poster boy, you know? But who knows... And you? Oh, thank you so much! But as I'm a really slow reader it will probably take me like two months 😅
Haha, now you have to buy it! I think some reviews are negative, because maybe they expected something different? Especially Olympia Soirée touches upon many difficult topics, like discrimination and abuse, so if you can't deal with that, you will probably hate the game just because of the setting. But if you are able to accept some premises, then you'll also be able to enjoy it. It's not without flaws, of course, but I still think it's one of the better games out there :)
@@LinLinLavender haha! actually I already have it 😍 currently finishing up on Riku’s route ❤️ O.S. has been a great game with lots of world- building. I really like it so far. The only thing that I roll my eyes at are the flashbacks of the scene of the Mother since it happens so repeatedly 😩
@LinLinLavender Thank you for the reply well see i would love too :) im still playing 7'scarlet lol i been playing it for months on my vita lol i do bits here and there and started othef games but im determined to finish my first visual novel lol thats why i havent started olympia lol. Hope you have a great weekend i have a few visual novels to unbox still :)
@@segagirladventurespico That's great! 7Scarlet is your first visual novel? How do you like it? I haven't played it, but heard some mixed opinions...so hopefully you'll give other games a chance as well, like Olympia! 😍
Flashbacks are used so often that they are abused, if you ask me. Really don't need that many flashbacks to understand it all. The protagonist's mum sounds like every generic overly nice anime mum ever. I'd argue she's as one dimensional as Nagusa. Even Kanan and Hairi, as despicable as they are, have more depth and purpose.
True 😂 I personally found the flashbacks funny, but not annoying... Do you mind that she's one dimensional? I didn't feel like it was much of a problem for me
@@LinLinLavender considering she's Douma's soulmate, I'd want a decent reason to actually care about Hakua other than the fact she's the protagonist's mother. She doesn't really serve a purpose and her 'role' could be interchangeable with almost any other character. I also think they did Kuroba and Yosuga dirty in their routes...some stuff they do just don't fit in with their views or personality normally. It's a shame.
@@an_impasse I see what you mean! Yes, some people criticise these scenes...I again would argue it still fits the characters...but it's definitely controversial
I find this game very interesting, but I don't know if it's for me. Sorry to bother, but could someone tell me more about the physical (non sexual) violence? I fear descriptions of this kind of violence :(
Oh hi here as well 🤗 If it really only is non sexual violence, I would skip some bad endings (of Kuroba and Akaza, maybe Riku- visual violence), but apart from that you should be fine 🤔
@@LinLinLavender aww, thank you! I noticed the video wasn't new, so I thought it was better to ask on discord ❤️ thank you for welcoming me and for all the help ❤️
Well sadly this game is over. It took a week to finish it 😭 but it was a lovely story. I wish the unlocked short stories after good endings had given us the ability to see the bachelor's become dad/husband to finish Olympia's story full circle. I bought this after your review 🥰 Please help point me to a (translated) new game to play that is similar please! Thank you!
Oh hey! 🥰 I know the feeling of emptiness after having played a wonderful game 💞 Guess you played it non stop? 😂 I would have loved to see them as dads and husbands, but still think the after stories were pretty sweet 😍😍 Oh really?
