Nice set up. Those spectrum analyzers have a pretty on point response time and match your amp nicely. I have a Mackie Quad Eq myself that I'm happy with and still looking for another RTA equalizer to pair with it eventually- we'll see. Thx for sharing.
@@generikz I was curious if the color would match my existing old school meters. The fact that it matches your McIntosh amp tells me I should buy it with full confidence.

Hello friend, I would like to know if you can help me, I have a PP-131 digital spectrum analyzer, and I installed it to my Mcintoch Integrated Amplifier and a DBX 2231 Equalizer but the display or spectrum almost moves, the signal is very weak, I would like to know what the script for installation, i think i must be doing something wrong here, thanks.
Hello, I initially made the same mistake. If you use an output that has already been adjusted for Volume, you will barely see anything. You need to use an unadjusted TAPE OUT or MONITOR OUT stereo audio output on your A/V Amp to get the full signal to the spectrum.
Hi, I just got the one in blue! beautiful! however, when i try to run this thru my denon 4800h Pre-outs( front, surround height ects) it doesn't work right...I put in on my cd player audio out!1 it works great! is there a way to run it off my amp? Thanks!
You should use a Line Out (stereo) as it might as well do the down-mix to stereo for you, not a pre-out. Checking your Amp... it doesn't have line out (full volume), only pre-amp (volume controlled). Your Amp lacks the Line Out signals to achieve this.
The PP-131 can actually also display 2 channels separately but only the top one will have red LEDs for the max volume, not the bottom one. It also has more display modes while the PP-31 only has one. But at 2RU, in a living room, it's a little overkill. I asked if they could have the blue model with red LED at the top but they only do white top LED, maybe to match other equipment they are selling. Still happy with them, turn them on in the evening for extra musical fun. They are completely quiet when no music is played, easy to forget to turn them off!
@@generikz thank you for sharing! I first saw it on Techmoan then started researching. I love that the LEDs are dimmable. I have backlit VU meters on my amp, a beautiful oscilloscope and very ancient VU meters from an old studio. They are fun due to age but I think I might replace those with one PP-31. BTW, I noticed that the sound seemed very uniform on the meters in your video. When you play something with more stereo separation do you see more distinct sound patterns?

I imported them directly from the Taiwan company (but shipping from HK/China). @WhoInvLag I just contacted the support to purchase 2 units and they added DHL Express shipping (from Hong Kong). They can receive Bank Transfer or Paypal USD (+ fees) for payment.

That’s a serious amp you got there 👌🏼
This is really to showcase how the PP-31 looks like in action, but the additional VU Meters do add some visual bliss to the whole experience!

Hi guys need some help here. I recently bought a pp31.how can I connect it to a AVR receiver.
You just need to plug the "Stereo Line Out" Left (white) and Right (red).
The actual sounds goes to your speakers directly.
I have been researching this and the 131 unit. To me both look stellar. Are you happy with the units?

Pretty coloured lights. News reporting is Who, what, where and why? SPEAK!
WTF does this even mean?
Please do not mix the McIntosh amp with this keep the look classy.
McIntosh does not have decent spectrum analyzers... Their problem to fix this product offer gap :-)
Sadly still not spectrum analyzer...
