Halie got into a head-on car accident on her way home from school. It was scary and everyone was really shaken up.

I had several panic attacks after my first car accident, I even threw up because of so much anxiety. They did good to ensure her that it’s just a car and as long as they are okay, that is all that matters.

I agree, I lost my brother when I was in college to a car accident (he was a passenger heading to work in the city with his 2 bestfriends) the driver survived but my bro and his other friend didnt. I have a fear of driving with other people in the car, I dont think I'd be able to handle the pain if someone got hurt or dies on my watch. It's been a while now and I'm still trying, but I'm getting more confident everyday. Sending love to you guys today 😌💕🙏🏾🙏🏾
Agreed, not only that but you just can't help but to feel awful when something like this happens. Hallie, we all get in accidents.... it's normal to feel crappy about it, but it's just a part of life, and honestly it's a part of learning to be a good driver too. After some time, you'll start to develop a sixth sense about driving. You can see danger coming before it happens most of the time. I just want to give you a hug because I remember being your age and not having that sixth sense about other drivers.
My heart goes out to Halie. All car accidents are scary but the first one when you're driving is especially terrifying. So glad no one is hurt.

you could see it on her face, Halie was so scarred, after having a lot of issues this must of been so scary. i am so happy everyone is physically okay, but Halie mental health is just as important, thank god the kids are okay!

The way you hugged Halie is what I wish I had when I was hit by a car. My car was almost totaled, luckily it wasn’t, but I had to drive myself home and my parents didn’t come to make sure I was ok. I was 18, so I was an adult technically but I was still in high school.
If you were my child and you called I’d have speed my ass over. My kids are way more important then anything in this world.
Well then, you'll know what to do when they get old and call you and ask you to help them... hang up.
Ya I had to drive home after my accident it was terrifying and my bumper almost fell off
I've been in 3 accidents, and my mom has not picked up/responded to me when I contacted her for any of them. She blamed me when my car hit black ice. She blamed me when I got rear ended. I had to drive after each one not knowing what was going to happen.

Poor Hallie. I struggle with depression and anxiety for years and an accident like this would definitely cause trauma and send me into a spiral so be extra cautious! You guys rock and I am so glad that it was "just" a car and nothing major.
I'm so sorry this happened, auto accidents are so scary. Halie crying in her mom's arms broke my heart. I'm really glad that everyone was ok. Then poor Alex, he's more concerned about the older gentleman that hit him than the fact that his car was hit. He's such a sweetheart. Everyone please be careful and stay safe. Much love💜

Glad everyone's okay. Just a word to the wise, keep an eye on any symptoms that may show up tonight or tomorrow physically. I was in a car accident 4 years ago and was t-boned by someone who didn't have the right of way. Injuries can be delayed due to adrenaline. I didn't know I was hurt that badly until the next day, when I had severe back pain. My pain however started with a sharp pain in between my shoulder blades the night before. It's just something to be aware of for everyone who was in the vehicle.

I experienced the same after my first bad accident. I was fine enough to even drive home but as soon as I got in my apparent I cried for about 30 Minutes sitting on the floor.
As you saw it in Haily she broke down at one point as the entire situation settled in here head.

Up to this day I am uncomfortable when ever I have to wait behind a truck on a red light.

Glad everyone is ok. Extra defensive driving courses are never a bad idea. For Aaron and Crystal as well.... if you take them with all the drivers and learning drivers, it shows that it's not something negative, but just more tools in the learning box ;)
You could even make it Christmas gifts for everyone :)
And depending on your insurance & course you take, you can get breaks on your insurance… with my insurance every driving course you take knocks 2% off the cost of your insurance… not much but could be a huge break for families with lots of drivers

I recommend getting dash cams for all the cars, I learned the hard way after getting into an accident and being the one ticketed even though the accident was not my fault. The more proof you have for cops the better.

They are amazing parents, she really was terrified when she heard her daughter got into a car crash, and at 24:35 she was on the verge of tears from what happened.
Halie handled this beautifully, she stayed calm and composed. And my thoughts and prayers go out that she NEVER has to experience that again.
As someone with both anxiety and depression I know that these next few weeks will be super hard for Halie. This will constantly play on her mind and she may be scared to drive for a while she just needs her family surrounding her. Glad everyone is safe and only damage was to the car

Glad that everyone is okay. That is a scary situation especially for new drivers. They might feel sore the next day. Crystal and Aaron you are amazing parents….so calm and comforting and just making sure they were all okay.
I'm glad everyone is OK. I was also in a car accident in 2018, when a car entered us at a speed of 100 km / h when we turned at a traffic light. So I know how scared it is.
Be strong and stay healthy
I know of several accidents that happened this same way and EVERY time the person in Hallie's position was charged with pulling into oncoming traffic. So sad to see the upset, worry, and trauma! It's good to see everyone rallying around Hallie and Alex and the strong support they have. It might also be good to have them talk through what driving habits they could develop to avoid similar hazards in the future. I'm sure you've got that covered though. (hugs)
That’s what I was thinking… unfortunately I believe they will find Hallie at fault, even if the other person was driving fast, since she was pulling out to pull into the media. 😭😭 I’m. It saying that’s right or wrong, but we had a very similar accident where someone pulled out in front of my husband (he wasn’t speeding though) trying to get to the median, my husband but him (hubby had the right of way), and it ended up being the fault of the other driver. We finally just settled in court because my husband ended up with multiple bulging disks/torn ligaments in his back and shoulders, and had a TON of medical bills that their insurance was saying they wouldn’t cover. I hate we had to go the court route, but we ended up getting everything covered
I was in a similar accident and got charged too. It was super easy, at least in my state, to go to driving court and have it tossed. The person that hit me had no insurance and still tried suing me later 🙄
Hallie needs to learn to look behind her, and all around her surroundings. I think she was only looking to the side but she needs to look EVERYWHERE. I’m not blaming her but she needs to look everywhere before even pulling out.

I’m so glad everyone is ok, including Alex. I know as a parent that has always been my worst nightmare. Crystal you are absolutely right it’s the other drivers. I live where we get tons of snow and the people that have sopped up trucks try to run you off the road during white out conditions. Halie don’t even worry about William as long as you are not hurt also look at it that they were not paying attention. God looked out today for them. Love and prayers always have a blessed day ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Never ever pull out to someone waving you on like that. I have seen this happen so many times by the street I use to live on. In my opinion ,A driver should get in trouble for waving you on whether it is safe or not. Never listen to people. Its worth waiting, Glad nobody was hurt.
Glad Hallie and everyone is okay. I didn't get a 'phone call' we had the police knocking on our door letting us know our daughter was in a car accident and on the way to the hospital. She was so very lucky and only stayed in hospital overnight. Stitches in her head and blue & black bruises everywhere, but alive!! Accidents happen - cars can be fixed and/or replaced, lives can't. Stay safe everyone ♥
I am so glad everyone is okay. Getting in car accidents are so scary. I have been in one with my friend and hockey coach. We were t-boned and it hit the driver side that I was on. I had a severe concussion, a collapsed lung, a broken arm and broken ribs. I am so glad that you guys are ok and safe with your living parents

car accidents are never fun. i got into my first accident about 2-3 weeks ago.. no matter how big or small the accident is it shakes you up good. i am just glad that everyone is safe and parents are there to make sure you are okay and not get mad at you because truly thats all a kid needs at that moment in time. hallie and everyone in your family is truly lucky to have such amazing parents like you to tell them its okay, its just a car, and that you are just glad that they are okay. thanks for being such good role models. be safe on the roads everyone especially this time of year
halie is the absolute sweetest. i would also be crying if i was in this situation. i love that everyone hugged everyone once they got there. you can do clearly see the love ❤️

This is definitely my worst fear. My daughter was t-boned when someone ran a stop sign and I was a wreck when I got the call. I am so glad everyone is ok and nobody was hurt.

So glad everyone is okay! Accidents happen so much this time of year because so many people rush rush rush way to much trying to get their holiday shopping done. I have been backed into twice in mall parking lots at Christmastime. Proud of Halie for keeping it together till she was in mama’s arms… that’s when we all fall apart a bit, nothing like the comfort of a mother’s or father’s arms! And Alex, what a sweetheart to be more concerned with the older gentleman than worrying about his bumper! Did the person in the Jeep even stay, or did they

I’ve worked in auto insurance claims for years. Always take photos of the damages, the scene, license plate, insurance cards and drivers licenses. Also, I highly recommend to get a dashcam off of Amazon to be able to record the collision in case of any future accidents (🤞 you don’t)

I am so happy everyone is okay. To be honest hearing the sirens really freaked me out. Almost 3 years ago I received a call from my kids skool telling me there were an accident at skool. A walkway collapsed and my daughter was one of the kids traped underneath a 4 ton concrete slab she is critical and I need to get to the school. Thankfully she survived but we are still busy with rehabilitation therapy. Hearing the sirens really open up wounds that still haven't healed. I can just imagine how you must have felt. I am truly grateful your kids are okay. Lots of love from South-Africa
I’m just gonna say, this is why you don’t buy kids new cars, Max is a genius. He got an old car that didn’t cost as much and now he doesn’t have to worry about the financial burden
New cars protect way better, but they break a lot easier. My definition of a new car is about 15 years old though, so brand new cars no.

as someone who recently was in a car accident (it wasn't totalled and is still in the shop)(as well as 2 before this), don't worry about the car. Worry about yourself and take your time to heal. You are 10000 times more important than a car and that is ALL that matters.

I think that’s the issue. Crystal needs to take time for each kid and teach them how to properly look and drive so they don’t get hit again.
Oh man, that must be so scary. When a car hit my right side mirror, it took days to recover from the trauma I had. And I was way older than Hallie. Hope she can get herself over that trauma and learn from the accident and become a much better driver.

I am a senior in high school & had my first wreck on the way to prom in May. Like Hallie, I've had my fair share of struggles with mental health. I know a wreck is so scary. I've been there. Even if everyone is okay, it's scary. And when your brain is wired a little differently than everyone else, that fear can be more heightened. Hallie, it may be a struggle dealing with this in the next few weeks, but you're so strong & I know you can do it. I've been there. I know it's scary and it's definitely something to work through, but I believe in you. I know you'll make it. I just want you to know that I'm praying for you, Hallie. ❤❤

Watching this really made me cry 😭 because I so understand what your daughter is going threw I was in a car accident last year and almost lost my life , but lucky I came threw and ended up being okay in the long run but still since my accident when I drive now I’m very anxious and nervous, and my accident still gives me panick attacks. Keep an eye on your daughter, It was really nice to see you and your husband being so gentle and loving to your daughter and just letting her cry in your arms and just reminding her that she’s okay, because most parents just scream and yell at there kid, so it was a nice thing to see how loving and caring you guys were to your daughter.
I, too, are happy everyone is ok! I'm so sorry Halie, I understand it must be so scary to be in an accident and especially so when you're driving your siblings. It's scary when you're still a somewhat new driver, too.
Make sure to talk about it and not bottle it all up inside, and be thankful that you're all ok. After all that's the most important thing ever!

I actually got into my first car accident last night at 7 so this is crazy to see and the hit was in the same exact spot except on the passenger side where I was sitting but everyone was alright. An experience that makes you rethink a lot of things. Glad everyone is safe.
I'm just glad they are okay! I've been in an accident and it's the scariest thing! Just do some self care the next few days and keep in check with each other. Mental health and taking care of yourself is so important when a traumatic event like this happens. I'm praying that everything will work out with insurance. I actually got into an accident very similar to this and the air bag also didn’t go off, luckily I wasn’t injured either but I was on my way to work which was crazy trying to call out after being shook up like that. My car was totaled! Glad you guys were safe and no injuries!!
In my experience in a smaller accident the airbags shouldn’t go off
Because in the smaller accident airbags can hurt you more very powerful

Driving is hard and I hate it! It has really changed throughout my life time. I was just thinking the other day that i would not want to be learning tp drive in todays world. Im 46 and things have changed so much. I avoid driving whenever possible. Yall are doing such a wonderful job raising your teens. I have teens but they are intellectually disabled and are not driving yet. Halie please dont let this get you down accidents happen your moms right you can be the safest driver around and something still happen. Love yall so much so glad everyone is safe.

In my town we have lost two young lives within a month due to car wrecks (separate occasions) - they both caught fire and that is how they passed. Thank you for hugging them tight and truly letting them know their lives are so much more valuable. Love y’all!
I’ve had a hit and run at Walmart (I know alex was somewhere different) before, you should be able to file a police report and they will go through the parking lot footage. The older gentleman who hit my car had saw in the paper an accident report and turned himself in to help repair the damage. He was older, in a big truck, and simply didn’t even hear hitting my car. I am praying for you all and all these situations surrounding you.

My grandma got into accident recently, it shook her up pretty bad as this was her first car accident she’s been in her whole life, luckily everyone on both sides was okay and didn’t suffer any big or minor injuries, I’m glad everyone is okay. Sending all the love for everyone involved.
