I had a 2003.5 #2081. It became my UA-cam ID. Such a fun car. I miss it. An intake and a catless DP and it was an autocross beast. I blew the LSD to bits once.
I owned one brand new. In 2004 - a year after SARS left, many businesses including car dealerships couldn't offload their existing inventories. I went to the showroom with a friend to look for a new car - Mazda 3. I spotted a 2003.5 titanium Grey Mazdaspeed Pro in the showroom. I looked at it and said to myself, this is such a nice looking car. BTW, I already had a 2001 Protege 5 (hatchback) at the time and I loved the handling of a Protege. To make the long story short, my friend didn't get a Mazda 3 but I ended up with another Protege in my garage. That was truly an enjoyment driving it on the highway. It felt completely weightless...
Yep I tested drove the '03.5 off the lot new too. Then my. Ex had one. I drove the '03 years later from a used car lot in orange. The '03 and '03.5 definitely feel different, with the '03.5 feeling more tuned and refined. Fast and furious, sema, nopi, pas mag and HIN really helped this car come to be.
These cars rip up in the mountains. This platform has really proven itself at the Tail of the Dragon. A couple of them are legitimate street weapons.. Hopefully I’ll get mine off jack-stands sometime soon. lol
I love my msp. Parts are hard to find, but it's so much fun. Right now it only has a gt28 turbo, and 3" cat back from crooksport, and bov from forge Motorsport. If you can find one you should buy it!!
One day I might own one. I have come close several times. But whenever I am ready to buy a car there is no decent MSP’s for sale. I soon as I give up and buy something else a clean one comes up but that story is for another video. As far as getting parts is the same issue with my SVT focus and specv Sentra.
@@red_rabbit_specv I live in Colorado and I had to hop on a plane to Utah in order to get mine. Honestly I got lucky because I pretty much bought it sight unseen. I got off the plane met the people handed them money got in the car and drove 10 hours home LOL. I tried to get my hands on a Ford Focus SVT that was for sale in my area before I got the MSP. Hearing your story it's kind of funny how things work out LOL
I’m currently trying to Pokémon mazdaspeed, I have a speed 3/6 and a protege ES, and Just bought one msp last week. Not in perfect shape but man that little car is fun. Love to hear that BOV sounds and made me felt like I’m back to 17 years old teenager.
There is a Black one that a guy owns in the apartment building across the street from mine. With the stock 5-spoke racing heart wheels. It does look all stock
When I taught my sister how to drive manual she bought a yellow one- what a fun, really just needed a 6spd to be better for longer drives... Sadly New England salty roads turned it into a rusty mess underneath 😢
es muchisima potencia para un carro de poco más d euna tonelada. Claro que es impresionante, ocurre que el mercaddo de USA, está muy mal acostumbrado al tema de potencias. Este carro es divertido incluso con el motor normal
I love that you used the footage of the boys from their TOTD trip. Awesome cars man!

I've got a Titanium Grey 2003.5 ... got it for 650 bucks 2 years ago, still building it
Pretty sweet seeing my car in this video💯😎
Loved my yellow msp they handled so good and the turbo with a bov was perfect just wish they made the differential more reliable
I owned two. To this day still my favorite car. Trophied at Solo2 nats with it too.

I didn't have the Speed version, but I had a 2001 Protege LX, for 15 years. I would have driven it another 15, if possible.
I went from an Protege LX to a VW GTI and if I ever get the chance to buy a msp I'm doing it
Thanks
Rarest car in Europe :)
Rare car in Egypt, what are its common spare parts with other cars. I am looking for paseenger aitbag kit.
They got mazdaspeeds in Egypt? I thought they just used camels 🐪. Jokes aside I am curious if it was imported or did they sell them there?
I have my eyes on those. Do you still have the SVT? Im looking for more content from the Svt.
I still have the SVT. I got a video on what’s going on with it later this week.

Thanks for thinking I’m cool, cheers 🍻
Thanks for watching to the end and being cool.
Sounds like the music they play at the Chinese buffet 😂
Lol
pro ta jay?
It’s a beautiful car. If the engine wasn’t such a shitcan it would have been so much more support.
