The best soprano ever! Love you Pazticia. R.I.yp❤
Patrícia was incredible, an irreplaceable voice. Her departure from cancer was a terrible loss for music and for us, her fans.
Another update. Patricia Janeckova, the great opera and musical singer passed away yesterday at the age of 25 due to complications connected with cancer. Rest in peace majestic voice.
Patricia Janeckova is an outstanding artist, and she is getting better and better. 23 years 2 days ago. She has a great future in front of her.
I wish she joined some symphonic metal band :)
Rest In Peace, dear Patricie. :-(
In My Humble Opinion God's Angel's would be pressed to keep up with her Angelic Voice !!! Her Tone , pitch & Note Separation let Alone the Story telling & emotion she puts into every Note !!! 😄
Patricia is the ( GODDESS OF SONG ) & The one Artist i Hope to Get the Opportunity to see live once in my lifetime !!! Bravo to the Diva !!! 😄😄😄
Patricia is a goddess embodied in the body of a human being
Just come across your channel, and I love your reaction here to PJ. I've been an opera lover for many years, and I absolutely believe she is the most exciting and interesting soprano of the present day, right up there with the greatest voices of the past. Her future can only be stellar - voice of the century!
I really appreciate you!! I am glad you stayed and watched I hope to see you again because there is more to come!
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts Yo man, here's how her name is pronounced in Slovak/Czech: ua-cam.com/video/BWqYpMUSPxQ/v-deo.html
Also a very nice performance. I think she was 12 in that video.
She has cancer so that's really difficult 😭
R.I.P. , Patricia ! ( She died ..... :-( )
This is the '' Song for the Moon ''. Im from Czech republic, this is our opera. :-)
You take a very justified pride in it! In the song, ànd the singer. Greetings from Holland.
What could be better? such a hearth felt love song. Yes, I cried.
@@jonathanwetherell3609 Me too. Patricia should be payed by the tissue industry.
How I wish I could see her perform live. I have been following her closely for some time now and only hope she overcomes this dreadful disease she has. Do you also live in Ostrava where she lives? I envy you for being able to watch her live when she performs again. Enjoy our Princess Patricia! ❤️ Greetings from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Just to keep up everybody up to date, this young woman announced in February of this year that she is stepping down from performing while she undergoes treatment for cancer. Hopefully everything works out and she gets back to performing soon. Please keep her in your thoughts.
I loved your reaction to Patricia as you recognized her talent and the quality of her voice! And of course the power of her voice, and the emotions she portrays, both show that she really is an opera singer and so has to be able to act out the meaning of the song (which she does very well here in Rusalka) and also fill the venue with sound without the use of a microphone! She is, in my opinion, the best opera singer among the young sopranos (and maybe among the older ones too).
Thank you for an enjoyable reaction and I hope to see more reactions to Patricia Janeckova from you. There are a number of good ones in this series at the airport venue, a number of them arias that she has performed before and it has been enjoyable to compare them and see how she has matured and gotten even better over the years! One of my personal favourites is Mein Herr Marquis by Strauss (titled NETOPYR - Mein Herr Marquis in this series).
Thanks again for doing my requests. You can really tell how far she has come, her control and nuances are better than ever here and she keeps improving.
Thank you for sending him these suggestions. I just saw this early performance of hers. Have you seen it? ua-cam.com/video/Ua5DCgQvSLM/v-deo.html (age 13)
@@RutlandRick Yes thank you I have. She is battling breast cancer at the moment unfortunately but I believe she will beat it, we can only hope.
The Loss of The Goddess of Song Mrs Patricia 😇💔🌹 is a Tremendous loss for the world 🌎 a Treasured Light 🕯️ taken way to early on Oct 1 2023 at the Age of 25. The World has lost A little more Joy & Become a little Darker Even here in the Sunshine State 🌞 ( RIP Devine Goddess of Song 💔🌹🌹🌹🌹)
And the composer is Antonin Dvorak.
a cherub, an angel, the voice of a Goddess !!
she is divine!♥
The Prince sings "Vidino Divná"..Which means strange vision... In Opera Rusalka 2017 they put English subtitles "Divine one".... it seems like divná (strange) reminds a little bit of the word divine.
Unfortunately our precious Patka succumbed to a grave and unforgivable illness of the 1st October 2023 / May she rest in peace !!!
I love Rusalka !!!! :-)
R.I.P. Patricia.
Mantap...
Such a beautiful love song. I am a fan of her voice. So many female opera singers put my teeth on edge but never our Patricia.
Hearing this classic sung by a native speaker just puts the gloss on. She's on my bucket list to hear live.
I've heard this aria so many times but rarely could I understand every single word so perfectly. She sang the piece like it was easy to sing❤
Patricia Janeckova lascia ch'io pianga is a good song from her cd. Ombra mai fu is also another good song she sings. My introduction was with Once Upon A Time In The West (Miss Reneta 2012).
Regarding your comment about her not needing the mic, you are correct. Opera singers do not use amplification, the microphone is for recording purposes. That's a major distinguishing characteristic of opera singers, they must sing over the orchestra and fill the opera hall without electronic amplification. Pretty impressive for them as a group!
True, but what if it's open air like this :) ua-cam.com/video/uw1VWaV39WU/v-deo.html
@@cancelled_user Rieu breaks all the rules anyway, haha! Certainly they would have to use amplification for an arena that large, but that is atypical for an opera setting. And notice the distance to the mic in the video - that's to keep her from blowing out the electronics with her powerful voice! Projection without yelling is the key for opera. The use of amplification in any setting is highly controversial in opera. The Met, for example, insists it never has and never will use any amplification, though body microphones are sometimes worn for radio and recording. But you probably know all that. Cheers!
@@johnwhite4991 Well, I'm relatively new to opera so I know something but not everything :)) It was symphonic metal that brought me to opera since some bands have classically trained singers (usually soprano) and I think it's beautiful. Most of them are not as powerful as real opera singers, but it is not necessary for metal and they often use contemporary singing as well (if not even growling).
And what "all rules" does Rieu break? :)
@@cancelled_user I think of Rieu as a showman first, and all musical "rules" are servants to the pageantry. That's not all bad, he's brought enjoyment of classical and opera to a lot of people who might not have listened otherwise. I'm not opera expert, though I do love it and have educated myself enough to appreciate it more fully. I'm an old school rocker (as a reference point I saw Zeppelin live in 1970). But my mother played opera when I was young, and I've always had an appreciation for it. I move easily between hard rock, blues, classical, and opera, and I recently discovered symphonic metal (Sancta Terra by Epica with guest Floor Jansen - wow! That has some opera moments). I feel sorry for people who are closed to one or the other genre, I love them all. I get in moods and listen to one obsessively for months, then something else catches my attention, though I'm always listening to a variety. Music is great and it touches me way down inside! Haha, "way down inside" is a line from Whole Lotta Love, guess it's time for some Zep!
@@johnwhite4991 Thanks for this insight :) My uncle used to listen to Led Zep. when he was younger. I only know a few songs which I like and it's been on my "to do list" for a long time to listen to more of them.
Wow, so you know Epica? That's my most favourite band ever :) I've never heard anything like that before I discovered them. Top-notch musical compositions, frequent time signature changes, really heavy passages in contrast to beautiful melodic parts, and of course the angelic soprano of gorgeous Simone Simons.
Sancta Terra is OK, but it is not their typical sound, even the band members said that in some interview. Floor became very popular after Beste Zangers show, so most people watch Sancta Terra first, simply because Floor is in the live version.
If you want to hear another duet of Simone and Floor, search up Epica - Stabat Mater Dolorosa. It's from the same concert as Sancta Terra. A beautiful Baroque piece in the middle of a metal concert :)
The concert was called Retrospect and it was the 10th anniversary of Epica. It lasted for 3 hours and Simone was 3 months pregnant at the time. Props to her for pulling of such a wonderful performance. She is amazing, I love her.
Since they had a live orchestra with them, they decided to make proper use of it and perform this song. It also shows how well Simone and Floor can sing, not just metal but also classics.
And I'd like to suggest something from the earliest years of Epica to you. I'll explain you why. But only if you are interested, of course.
Today 2. October 2023 she died RIP she was only 25 years old
Patricia Janečková lost her battle with cancer. She died on 1/10/2023🙏
I love this woman. I hope she is completely cured of her breast cancer. I think she is.
Unfortunately, Patricia Janečková died of cancer earlier this month. Rest in peace Patrícia♥
Patrícia Janečková died of breast cancer on October 1, 2023 😥😢
She was seriously ill lately !!! I hope to God that she is on the mend, so we can still enjoy her voice for years to come. God bless you Patricia - wish you the best of luck !!!
Unfortunately, she just passed away (1st of October 23) ... :-(
Patricia has produced many outstanding performances but this is probably my favorite. Singing Anton Dvorak's Rusalka, Her annunciation is second to none in the opera world. She is still very young in operatic terms. The best is yet to come.
Gone much too soon: Patricia Burda Janečková, b. June 18, 1998--d. October 1, 2023...RogerC 10/15/2023
RIP, Patricia.
sadly she passed away, may she rest in peace
Hey Highly Combustible! You've discovered Patricia! Fabulous! She is one of the very best sopranos now singing, if not the best. Wonderful quality to the voice, looks effortless but we know a lot of practice went into this. Rx7 gave you a lot of her great performances. Try "Rossini Arias" and the Ennio Morricone song "Once upon a time in the west". She owns this one and the doll song, which you've done already. Pick her on anything and you'll love it. Try also "Somewhere over the rainbow" - very touching. All the comments below are typical, and I believe them all!!
RIP 😢😭 Patricia

Czech opera.
Can you react The version of Tarja Turunen?
Amazingly well recorded given that is a far from ideal acoustic space.
there are many people throughout the world who want to hear pj sing live in their country.
Czech language.
Yep, She's wonderful. If you want to discover an over amazing (surnatural...?) opera singer, here it is : ua-cam.com/video/vOzfSWDOEsQ/v-deo.html It's Sabine Devieilhe, a french opera singer, a very very (VERY!!!) impresseve soprano. It would be great if you listened to her... Just an idea ! :)
Džanekówa ?
Just discovered that you have been reacting to my favourite opera singer. For me, she is the most versatile soprano living today, and she is still in her early twenties. If you pop along to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusalka_(opera) you can read about the origin of this aria.
