Putting avocados in brown paper sacks helps to ripen them quickly. I wonder if that will work for the other things. Depending on how long this stuff takes to ripen... though, honestly, I understand because if they eere sending out a bunch of over ripened foods or those that need yo be eaten in the same day, would probably waste money. $52 for all of that is a good deal! I feel like yhise wervices always send potatoes as well lol. cheap filler, but versatile food. Glad you enjoyed your vacation, and ate all the yummies. Blame it all on water weight. 😆
Oh yeah! I forgot about the brown paper bag trick! I have everything in the window! 😆😆 .. I guess I expected it to be more "ready to eat" because in the past it was like that but this service has changed a lot since I 1st got it. I'm only half complaining.. I'd rather have to wait than it go rotten. I have another box coming today.. I accidentally made another order for this week, thinking it was next weeks 😒😒😒 glad this box is more curated items that I chose lol I don't need more unripe fruit right now 😅
@@Doridoesthings have you used imperfect produce? I have, and the uglies were all good quality. You could curate those as well, based on their offerings. It wasn't very expensive, but I stopped because I was wasting food. I've tried out different meal delivery services, but haven't in a while. It's not a good season for me to do so. I do better to make frequent trips to my neighborhood store or produce market. Rainier cherries are in season 😍, and now I need to go find some ripe mangoes. Pineapple as well. Fruit is my favorite.
