Losing him and Burt in such a short span was rough. Met Burt by chance at a Las Vegas buffet about 20 years ago. He invited me to sit with him. One of the sweetest guys I've ever met. For those who don't know, he was an incredible boxer. Was a marine from 16-19 years old, and only lost 2 of 34 fights in that span.
Mr. T took his mother to the premiere of Rocky III, but she was so upset that she walked out after the scene where Clubber Lang talks lewdly toward Adrian because "I didn't raise you to talk to a woman like that."
I shared the same comment on another reviewer who watched Rocky 3-Clubber Lang, Mr. T. Yes, you're correct-he (Mr. T) actually had to run out of the theater because his mother left. He had to explain it was just a character he was portraying.
She should know it's this thing called acting and his this thing called a actor. I bet she accepted any money or gifts he was able to give from that role.
@@EnriqueGonzalez18362 Sad, though. He obviously loved his mum, and this was just him playing a character, but that it shocked her so much that she scolded him as if he really did disrespect Adrian, that makes me feel bad for Mr.T.
I have always loved the look on Apollo's face when Rocky gets back up in the first movie. The utter disbelief when he realizes this guy just won't quit!
Wow! When she was cracking the eggs, I thought, "There's no way that she's going to do it." I thought she would scramble them and throw them in a pan or something, but she did it! She's the people's champ.
Fun fact my cousin was one of those kids running with Rocky towards the art museum steps in Rocky 2. Basically Stallone and the crew casted hundreds of school kids in the city and he was lucky enough to also get a photo with Stallone after filming even got it autographed. It still hangs in his living room today.
In the title: "and it changed me." These movies affect and speak to a lot of people from all walks of life in ways that they can apply to their real lives. That's why these movies and this character mean so much to so many people.
Fun fact both mr.t and hulk hogan became Life long friends during the filming of Rocky three , It led to Mr. T and hogan Becoming A tag team at the first Wrestlemania and hogan did 2 episodes of the 80's TV classic The A.team where mr.t was the star of the show
My aunt ran the cleaning crew for the high roller rooms at a Vegas hotel in the 80's and 90's. She said Hogan was far away the best tipper and most polite guest they ever had. Also said Michael Jordan was the biggest crybaby of all-time lol. Her crew would draw straws to NOT get his room.
I love that you've done this! In defence of "Rocky Balboa", Mason's not really the opponent. The real opponent is "the stuff in the basement", the pain he feels for having lost Adrian. The whole point of the match was proving to himself that he could still go for it, that he wasn't just going to give up on life. Dixon just gave him the excuse to do that.
Not to mention the fact that what seperates Mason Dixon from previous rocky antagonists is that Mason isn't really an antagonist. He's just filling in that role because he happens to be fighting rocky. And, he's given his own mini arc that does get resolved as well because it was established early on that for all of his accolades, he was unfortunate enough to enter an era of boxing where he had no one who could really challenge him. He was a victim of his own dominance as one character put it. But when he found his real challenge in an unexpected place fighting a past his prime Rocky, it forced Mason to dig deep to try to prove to himself that he deserved to be champion, and Rocky even approving him was the icing on the cake, as they both won in their own ways in Rocky Balboa if you think about it.
@@thewolfofwallstreet627 That is absolutely true, although I would also argue that Apollo was never really an antagonist. Clubber, Drago and Tommy, on the other hand...
@ToniMcGinty i never thought Apollo was either. He was never really against rocky, per say. More like he underestimated rocky during their first fight. With him being the goat of his world, his ego couldn't handle it, but he was never outright enemies with rocky.
Rest is power, Carl Weathers. Thank you for the many memories throughout the years. We will continue to enjoy the legacy you left for the world. This is the way.
Burt Young also passed a few months before him. Amazing actor and total class act. Casually told me he'd "done some boxing in the Marines as a kid." I later looked it up. Joined the Marines at 16. Went 32-2 as a teenager vs grown men. Was 14-0 as a pro. You'd never think that Burt could've really hurt Stallone in part 3, and was trying so hard to not actually "crack Stallone's noggin." 😂
Adrian getting in Paulie's face and yelling "I'm NOT a loser!" is one of my favorite movie moments. "I was wondering if you wouldn't mind marrying me too much" is the best proposal ever. Duke: "He's not a machine! He's a man!" Drago: "He's not human. He's like a piece of iron!"
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 It was also the first time we saw Paulie drop his false bravado. After Adrian runs off and Rocky has him pinned to the couch, he cried and said "I can't haul meat anymore". He was upset that everybody in his life was gifted a 2nd chance at redemption, but him. Everybody made the most of their second chances, but when Paulie wanted one too, he was told he wasn't good enough. Lost in Paulie's demeanor, is the fact he never asked Rocky for a loan, he supported his sister financially, offered Rocky a loan and bought his car when he needed money. He was arguably the hardest worker in the series and never left that meat house.
R.I.P. to Carl Weather's and Burt Young, who was a VERY good boxer himself. 32-2 as a marine and 14-0 as a pro. The amazing thing is he was literally a kid in the marines. It's much sadder when you realize half cast rocky franchise is no longer here with us Carl Weathers, Sage Stallone (Robert), Pedro Lovell (Spider), Burgess Meredith (Mickey), Tony Burton (Duke), Burt Young (Paulie), James Brown, and Tommy Morrison (Tommy Gunn) My favorite Paulie moments from Rocky franchise are from Rocky 4 before Rocky goes to fight Drago he tells Rocky how much he loves his brother in law and how much he truly means to him if you look at Adriana reaction you can see it goes from shock, surprised, nd emotional seeing her brother finally show genuine emotion for someone he loves and cares. You can tell she wasn't expecting Paulie to say something like that and it's underrated moment that doesn't get talked about alot. My other favorite Paulie moment is a deleted scene from Rocky Baloba after he is left go from his job he breaks down in front of Rocky telling him how much he misses his sister and him saying that he should have died instead of her you can see Rocky reaction trying to stay strong but at same time you can also see he's in alot pain but feels even more sad his best friend saying he should have died instead of Adriana it's crime this was deleted from the movie should have been kept in.

I love that Stalone hates the 5th movie so much he didn't even include it in the 4k collection. Rocky Balboa is such a perfect ending to this franchise. Can't wait to see you guys react to Creed movies now.
That was Sylvester Stallone’s actual dog that he had to give away because he was so broke and when he got to make Rocky, he got him back He was offered $300,000 for the script if he refused to star in it He turned it down, and the rest is history
He had Henry Winkler sell the script than had him give the money back because they wanted to rewrite it and credit a different writer so he did, Rocky became Rocky and Winkler never seen a dime
Rockys son in the 5th movie is actualy Sylvester Stallones real son Sage, who sadly passed away (if im correct) from a a heart attack in 2012. According to what i heard it was caused by an over the counter medication, no illegal drugs were found in his system.
Yes Sage died due to his heart. His eldest son also has severe Autism and for at least half his life was institutionalized. I believe he now lives with his mom
During the shooting of Rocky IV, Stallone told Dolph Lundgren, that actor who played Drago, "Just go out there and try to clock me". Shooting had to stop for 4 days while Stallone was in intensive care because of how hard Lundgren hit him.
Cool to see you come join the fandom. I have had multiple partners that felt that these movies had nothing for them, and to see you appreciate the humanity that is embedded in the story is just fantastic!
The first two Rocky movies always make me cry happy tears because they're such sweet love stories. The next two make me cry out of devastation from losing Mick & Apollo.
Rocky is a love story made for guys. There's really no other franchise that spans as long as Rocky + Creed and every single movie is good if not amazing

Beautiful reaction Kacee, I’m glad you’re a Rocky fan now, there’s also Rocky vidoegames out there if you want more, 🥊 my recommendation for franchises are Rambo, The Hannibal movies which are also books if you wanna check them out. The Terminator movies and the AVP movies as well.
Mr.t Became a star after his portrayal of clubber lane in rocky three So Big that he had his own Saturday morning. Cartoon show and his own cereal and the Catchphrase Of the cereal was " I Pity the fool that don't eat my cereal
Him and Hulk are such goofballs, if you haven't watched, go see their interview on SNL with billy crystal who is making fun of them and it's just a laugh fest.
as a kid it was more than entertainment, this franchise was educational: -respect your body with sport. -love and respect women. -you can be successfull in life no matter how ugly, stupid or poor you are. -take care and respect people you love even if they are difficult to handle. -be humble/respectull and act the right way. -look for mentors or people who can make you better. -be relentless, always move forward. etc etc the list is pretty long anyway it was nice to see your reactions ^^ i think more girls should see those movies. because it's not only about boxing... the story is beautyfull. plus, you will understand why so many men relate to this caracter. and why we love this franchise. kuddos to both of you from belgium
Rocky is life for so many of us, he's an idol, a reel hero that you believed to be a real life hero and grew up with, whom you looked up to, with whom you laughed, cried, struggled and overcame things as if you were there with him all the way. Stallone will always be my GOAT for creating and giving us Rocky in our lives.
Rocky is such a relateable character, especially for a lot of men, since he's an everyman, a guy who's just trying to get through the world one day at a time. He was always my hero as a kid, but these days, I relate to him even more. Things haven't been so great for me for a while, and it helps to have someone who never gives up to remind me that I can still do it. I also love how you see the characters' weaknesses; Rocky's is underconfidence, Apollo's is overconfidence/pride. Also, I think that a lot of people overlook the subtlty of Drago's character. He's very clearly a man who wants to say something, but he's under constant scrutiny from his Soviet handlers, and his wife. He's just a soldier with all these hopes riding on him, so he goes all-out, and kills Creed in the process. He might be the villain, but he's kind of tragic. He has no voice, he has no free will, because his government made him into a weapon. When he eventually snaps, and tells his handlers where to go near the end, it's him finally speaking for himself ("I fight to win! For me! For ME!")and showing Rocky the respect he's due.
something i love about the first movie is that it starts out with him winning a fight but feeling like a loser and ends with him losing a fight but feeling like a winner
4:00 Rocky Balboa, you'll find, is the sweetest man ever. And if you ask Sylvester Stallone, he will tell you that "Rocky" is not a boxing movie...it's a love story.
Mister, t took his mom to the Premiere of the movie rocky three and when she saw the scene where He said what he said to Adrian, she got so mad. At him that she said. Why are you talking to that woman like that? I didn't raise like that to talk to woman and left the premire
Great reactions to all 6 of the "Rocky" movies! 😊 RIP always to Carl Weathers, Sage Stallone(Sylvester Stallone's real life son who played Rocky Jr. in "Rocky 5"), Burt Young(Paulie), and to Tommy Morrison(who played Tommy Gunn in "Rocky 5")!!! Movies one thru four are my favorites. Five is decent. Not my favorite, but there are some good moments in that movie like the scene with Rocky and his son at the end along with the street fight at the end. Fun Fact about "Rocky 4": Brigitte Nielsen(who plays Drago's wife)is Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife. They met on the set of this movie, and were married for only 19 months before divorcing. You eventually find out who won that 3rd fight between Rocky and Apollo from the end of "Rocky 3" in the "Creed" movies. If you haven't gotten the chance to watch the "Creed" trilogy yet, I hope that you decide to continue on with that part of the Rocky/Creed series. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊

44:30 just to clear things up Mickey was picking boxing champs and contenders that were sportsman like, give him a beatable challenge. Not actively seeking a dark soul boss to kill or hospitalized Rocky. No person that loves or cares you purposefully put you a deadly situation

That was Sylvester Stallone’s actual dog that he had to give away because he was so broke and when he got to make Rocky, he got him back
He was offered $300,000 for the script if he refused to star in it
He turned it down, and the rest is history
He had Henry Winkler sell the script than had him give the money back because they wanted to rewrite it and credit a different writer so he did, Rocky became Rocky and Winkler never seen a dime
That was the best reaction to Apollos death I’ve ever seen
Rockys son in the 5th movie is actualy Sylvester Stallones real son Sage, who sadly passed away (if im correct) from a a heart attack in 2012. According to what i heard it was caused by an over the counter medication, no illegal drugs were found in his system.
Yes Sage died due to his heart. His eldest son also has severe Autism and for at least half his life was institutionalized. I believe he now lives with his mom
Rest in paradise Carl Weathers
During the shooting of Rocky IV, Stallone told Dolph Lundgren, that actor who played Drago, "Just go out there and try to clock me". Shooting had to stop for 4 days while Stallone was in intensive care because of how hard Lundgren hit him.
Hey, yo!
You 'ROCK'!
Thanks for the reaction!
1 of my lifelong favorite peices of art!
Your reaction to Rocky IV is priceless!!
Sylvestor Stallone always said Rocky was not a sports movie but a love story.
Rocky 2 makes me cry every time
I needed this today. Thank you, Kacee. Rest well, Carl Weathers 💪❤️
This is so great because I feel like for months Casey has been talking about Rocky in other reactions 😂 I've really been looking forward to it
Great reaction video. Can’t wait for the Creed reactions. ❤️ Also, I miss Carl Weathers and I’m glad you experienced his most iconic role. RIP Apollo
Absolutely amazing, this idea of making a compilation of reactions. I love it!
*#RIP** Carl Weathers/Apollo Creed*

Not gonna lie these franchise reactions are pretty cool. Of course i love scream and rocky franchises too tho haha. Thanks for them
Glad you got to enjoy these. Awesome awesome series!
She came in thinking she's going to have to bear through a boxing movie and buy Rocky 2 she's all smiles now (onto Rocky 3)
Great Reaction To All Of The Rocky Movie's Sweetheart & R.I.P To All The Actor's Who We're In The Rocky Movie's, Still Miss You All, Always 😢
I always laugh when Apollo goes to hit Drago's fists and not even a flinch from Drago, like damn 😂
Love the Rocky marathon!!! Thank you
Mr.t Became a star after his portrayal of clubber lane in rocky three So Big that he had his own Saturday morning. Cartoon show and his own cereal and the Catchphrase Of the cereal was " I Pity the fool that don't eat my cereal
Him and Hulk are such goofballs, if you haven't watched, go see their interview on SNL with billy crystal who is making fun of them and it's just a laugh fest.
as a kid it was more than entertainment, this franchise was educational:
-respect your body with sport.
-love and respect women.
-you can be successfull in life no matter how ugly, stupid or poor you are.
-take care and respect people you love even if they are difficult to handle.
-be humble/respectull and act the right way.
-look for mentors or people who can make you better.
-be relentless, always move forward.
etc etc the list is pretty long anyway
it was nice to see your reactions ^^
i think more girls should see those movies. because it's not only about boxing... the story is beautyfull.
plus, you will understand why so many men relate to this caracter. and why we love this franchise.
kuddos to both of you from belgium
beautiful movie series and yes it impacts u!!
the creed series is a great homage and extension of the rocky universe as well
Great reaction and i like what you said, sometimes your only advocate is yourself, and you have to stick up for yourself. 💯
Being able to binge this first watch is a blessing
Rocky isn't an underdog story. It's a love story. ✌️
The training with Mickey and Duke were legit. Best managers ever!
RIP always to Carl Weathers, Sage Stallone(Sylvester Stallone's real life son who played Rocky Jr. in "Rocky 5"), Burt Young(Paulie), and to Tommy Morrison(who played Tommy Gunn in "Rocky 5")!!!
Rocky is great because he is a fighter but he isnt a violent mean man, fighting isnt about dominating others, its about himself
Did she say to curb stomp Tommy gun 😂 I love it!!

It wasnt! She was singing The Final Countdown by Europe 😂
@@Nightmare200damn it see when I hum that it turns into Fly High now
That was epic, such a great reaction and doing them all together fantastic. 5 great movies and 1 still enjoyable film (V). 2 for me just beats out the first one. 😀
Can't wait for your reactions on the creed franchise!!! ❤️
44:30 just to clear things up Mickey was picking boxing champs and contenders that were sportsman like, give him a beatable challenge.
Not actively seeking a dark soul boss to kill or hospitalized Rocky. No person that loves or cares you purposefully put you a deadly situation
Drinking decaf out of your boxing glove mug is kind of ironic, since decaf has no "punch." (I'm sorry. I couldn't help it.) 🥊
Great reaction to a series of movies that people who never watched them get so wrong. You got it.
Part 2 for the creed trilogy?
That scream when Apollo dies 😱🤣
1:17:55 Awww you left the best line of the movie out. I tear up every time Rocky is in the gym remembering Mickey and he says "You was the Angel."
You can take the warrior out of the war, but you can't take the war out of the warrior! ✌️
OMG KACEE IN THE BOXING OUTFIT!
Awesome video.
I really like this style of video , keep up the good work.
Great Reaction, now the Creed Franchise 😊
My name is Rocky. I'm 62 years old. And the movie changed my life and fortunately it was a good movie when it came out.
Kacee having her own training montage was great.
Rocky's relationship with Adrian is the most important the character Rocky. Rocky's relationship with Apollo is the most important to the Rocky franchise.
You both are phenomenal . The best of the best.
52:59
That is indeed where that line came from. Not on "The A-Team" like so many people tend to think.
Rocky IV is spectacular, and TRUST me, creed II builds off that storyline and is sensational!
next… CREED movies
Love the cup 😊 I didn't realize you were a Texan 😊
I love these videos. We get extended time hanging out with Kacee reacting to classic films. We need more egg drinking. Ha. 😂
