Nice reaction. 18:22 -The bat didn't "break into him" though. It broke when the guy swung it and it hit the light pole. The broken handle was still in his hand and he used it as a shiv in the struggle.
Hi Ylva , I really enjoyed your reaction to this episode so happy that Joel found his brother❤ and Joel and Ellie's Bond is getting strong , got us all with tears🥺 hope Joel is doing OK and next episode ! You said there's 3 more episodes to go I hope there's more in future !!!
I've heard various discussion about Joel pulling the stake out after getting stabbed. If he'd left it in while leaving on horseback, the movement might have caused a lot more damage. Ideally keep it in and immobile until he can be treated, but in this case - I don't know what the best choice would be. Either way, I think he was in shock and not thinking anyway and just pulled it out.
Yeah I felt conflicted about it too... It's a tricky spot in the body so I don't think it would have made much of a difference if he'd left it in... On shock and instinct I think anyone would pull it out
It costs overcoming to leave something stuck in your body that you do not want to have and does not belong there. The head must remain clear and you must be aware of what is happening to you. The scene is kept very realistic, also as far that the injury is not immediately noticed. Anyone who has ever severed a finger on a circular saw knows what I'm talking about. Maria to Ellie: "Be careful who you put your faith in. The only people who can betray us are the one we trust." Probably the most important sentence of this episode if not of the whole series. Joel to Ellie: "Dream of sheep ranches on the moon." This sentence says so much. Joel already connects Ellie's dreams with his. Ellie drank from Joel's liquor and it was "STILL gross". That was a callback to the DLC. Next episode Ashley Johnson (Game Ellie) will properly get an appearance in the Ellie Flashback (Game DLC). This episode was a feast for everyone who played Part 2. we met Dina, properly Jessie, Shimmer, Bison Bar, sheep, kids playing snowball, Astronauts, Jackson see from the inside. Simply fantastic. Small information about the game for part 1 of the game. Originally, Druckman planned to kill Joel in Part 1. Not everyone knows that. This was prevented because a glimmer of hope was to remain (studio wish). Neil Druckman said about the series that he wants to show things that could not be shown in the game. The series gives him the freedom to do so. We have already seen this. The campfire scene was supposed to go into the game, but didn't make it. Here it was shown. So anyone who thinks Joel isn't going to die or might die shouldn't be so sure. 😉
Yes, in today's world Joel shouldn't have taken the wood out, because he would be brought to an hospital, where they can give him some blood transfusions and operate him, but in the world he is living in, that's not really an option, there would be even the risk of more injuries while they ride away, so in this case it wasn't wrong. Either joel dies of blood loss now or later. That wouldn't be so much of difference
I wish they stayed and rest for a bit in that place ; eat, sleep, try to recover ; we had plenty of relationships to develop for just an episode in this community, and Joel just got his brother back... I guess this is how the game works, but here we are in a piece of television so I'm a bit disappointed (as a non gamer)
Show is great. Big wigs at HBO are probably furious since they are burning through the game. Next week DLC, season two is game two confirmed. Now they probably would have liked something like 24 episodes per game.
I disagree. The pacing is a perfect adaptation from the game. There was a lot of action sequences that moved/carried the pacing of the game that wouldn’t have translated well into real life action.

True I saw that when editing! My mind was so foggy while filming haha it went a bit too fast for me
I think we all yelled, "don't pull it out!"
Ylva i love when you said Nooooo When the last predator got stabbed great job saying that part !! 👏🏽👍🏽🥰

@@YlvatheViqueen I ain't complaining. Totally worth it!
By now they would have come up with some kind of fungicide to kill the fungus inside and outside the body.
joel can not fail her, he can't let her die

Thanks for all the info! I'm excited to see more of what they come up with for the show...
This one broke my heart and mended it a few times
P.S. Tommy's wife was in True Blood Anna Paquin's BFF.
Yup! Recognized her voice most of all, she's a great actress. Happy she got this role!
Another great episode, and the acting.......
Such great acting 😭
Ylva i really love your reaction to AVP Movie Your reaction was the best, hope you keep watching the rest someday to !!!
I'm thinking alien resurrection next probably!
@@YlvatheViqueen oh Aliens Resurrection?! Sounds wonderful I hope you also you do the next predator movie have that 1 !!!

Good explanation. It would be complicated for him to ride the horse properly with that thing in him.
Did I miss something? I dont see episode 5 on your channel.
It got blocked, should be up soon enough

They could've easily dragged it out but I'm kinda glad they didn't. A lot of the game was looting too though
