YES! YES! YES! I always kept missing it when TVOne aired this episode and one time I came close and saw the closing credits. I always seen the syndication edition of this where 227's opening and closing were tacked on to it. The cast's names were listed as featuring in the scene where Jackee was on the phone talking to the moving company. The irony is that this episode aired on a Thursday night between Cosby and Cheers and did well in ratings but NBC opted not to green light the series.
This pilot was taped in the spring of 1989 and was supposed to air that fall if it was picked up.Since it wasn't,Jackee returned to 227 for the first 6 eps of the 1989-90 season and left again. She taped another pilot called "I'll Take Manhattan" for NBC,as a different character, but that wasn't picked up either. It aired once on NBC and is included in the S4 227 syndication package, but TV ONE aired 227 uncut 10 years ago,so they aired this with the original opening and closing credits. Since 227 is no longer broadcast uncut (currently on Centric and UPTV I believe) you likely won't ever see this uncut version on TV again.
The show should have been called Sandra not Jackee since it's a spin off of 227. These new characters just didn't work, Sandra needed someone that's complete opposite of her and opposed her. These characters were rooting for her. I hate that they have her working in a fitness club. Would probably be better if she was a struggling actress and it's not as easy to become an actress like she thought it would be.
I hate to say it but I’m glad the show didn’t make it because 2 to 7 was falling apart without her so that’s why she probably came back to 2 to 7 Sandra Clark scared to just fit better with 227
@@curtisdrummerellerbe9544I'm glad too. I didn't like the way they had her lusting over white men on this show. I'm used to seeing her flirting with handsome black men
