I love how they actually put his mouth in the center of his muzzle. It looks _much_ more natural. I wish the mainline _Sonic_ games went back to this look. The side mouth looks weird, IMO. And they even gave Sonic terrible swimming animations, to convey that he can't swim? That's perfect!
I really like how they made Sonic look in this game. He looks like his Dreamcast Era self brought into the modern era especially with those custom shoes that look alot like the Soap shoes from Adventure 2. Only thing are his spikes are a little too long.

The MaSatOGT20 Sonic characters mods' graphic looks as good some of the modern 3D Mario characters mods with best graphic from the 3D Super Mario games and even better than both the Frontiers and Forces Sonic characters mods, especially if the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 game was only made by SEGA and/or Sonic Team, but the Uekawa cel-shaded Sonic fan mod is still the best Sonic mod for me.

I'd recommend you to check out the Japanese dub, then. He sounds more like his age there. Actually, everyone except Silver (deeper voice than Japanese Sonic), Blaze (a rather boyish voice) and Shadow (if you take his chronological age at least, his smoother voice fits his physical age better) sound more like their age. Also, most of the voice actors have been there since the Adventure days or their character's debut. Plus, there are some extra nuances and better scripts. Sorry, I just love it so much that I can't stop recommending it to everyone. Also, Sonic's deeper voice since Colors is intentional because they wanted him to sound older.
