Even though Balaam was a sorcerer, in Numbers, Balaam had the Spirit of God when he prophesied over Israel. I think that is key to understanding the blessings spoken over Israel.

Where can we read that Baalam was using dark powers? Because if thats so. Why didnt he just use that same power to curse God’s people? He had to have God’s permission to do all of his blessings and curses. He may have been used by satan to manipulate his power. He was too in love with what he could receive in the now(then on earth). I think that because when he went to curse God’s people and couldn’t, he still found a way to manipulate his power of his connection to God to still receive his reward. Is there anything im missing? Can I read more on Balaam?

Great insight! Balaam is a complex character.
Great question: can you explain what the doctrine of Balaam is? Very helpful during my study during covid19 shut down.

Thank you I've never heard it like this as I was praying the spirit told me to start to study the spirit of Balaam I thought it was some idol but when I open a video who was Balaam I remember the donkey but I never knew what God was trying to say till now I went to a church that only taught about compromise and really I wish they would have talked or would have mentioned the spirit of Balaam the way you have been describing thank you

Balaam is supposedly a "false prophet" but why was he one, of only a few, that knows God's real name. And why did God speak directly to him?
    This is baffling.

Interesting talk but seen through the narrow scope of Christianity where every non-Christian automatically is a "false prophet." The truth is we don't know what kind of prophet Balaam was. Many Jewish and independent scholars would agree with that.

If you have real prophecies (In the book of Numbers) and you call the true and living God your Lord then you're a true man of God. He backslid.

Balaam was a real prophet of the Most High. God gave him real prophecies. He backslid.

Every ancient reference to Balaam considers him a non-Israelite, a prophet, and the son of Beor. King Balak of Moab offered him money to curse Israel (Numbers 22-24), but Balaam refused to speak what God did not speak and blessed the Israelites instead. Nevertheless, he is reviled as a "wicked man" in both the Torah and the New Testament.

She's recording for a radio program but has a live audience of women. She leads a women's ministry and writes books for women. It's not church. She's not an elder or a pastor. Women can't teach other women in a para-church organization setting? How else are the older women supposed to teach the younger women as directed by Scripture?

Archaeological evidence that is not presented is not evidence at all. The story is simply myth and yet you present it as factual. You site Blessings from God yet there is still evil that occurs to those whom worship God, thus the promose is not fufilled. This leads one to believe that God is a liar or not real.

The fact that you believe in Good & Evil/Blessings & Cursing reveals your innate knowledge of the Transcendent God of Absolute Truth, as you ironically place Him on trial in your courtroom of judgment -- using His Worldview of "Good & Evil" -- "Moral & Immoral," the knowledge of which is also, and ironically, innate.
You have faith -- faith that does not believe in the Authority of the Bible, despite its inherent.
As the Apostle Paul once wrote in Romans 1, you've willfully exchanged faith in the truth for faith in a lie...and you are unfortunately "without excuse."
Any reply you give requires the borrowing from the Biblical Worldview of "Absolutes."
As Dostoevsky has said: "If there is no God, everything is permitted."
