Thank you for finding this buried treasure. Muchly appreciated. As I said on Gordon Beattie's upload of the premiere, the set design wouldn't look out of place in more recent game shows, with its liberal use of blues, pinks and purples. From Series 2 through to the end of the Max Bygraves era the set went all beige and brown. 😨
Wow this is rare. Loved the Bob Monkhouse series of Family Fortunes. Happy memories of Friday night at my now late grandparents house. This setting looks awesome too, as opposed to the brown yellow after
Bob Monkhouse said as opposed to the US equivalent Family Feud changed it to Fortunes. Stated that Feud sounds to aggressive. The US host was also British born too
Since there is no VT clock has a couple of slightly incomplete jump-cuts (especially during an ad break), i'm pretty sure this was taped straight through to how it was first broadcast on ITV. I'm pretty sure there are some other VT masters i've noticed that turns out to be recorded straight from its televised broadcast (that whenever features adverts and continuity links) such as one of the editions of This Morning from 1988 for example.

Now this really is Gold Dust, thank you very much for uploading this & please carry on the grand work you're doing
Thank you for uploading an edition of Family Fortunes from the Bob Monkhouse years. I love your channel. Keep up the good work.

A piece of GOLDDUST here! 😍😍😍
1:13 that was the very first question asked on the very first episode of Family Feud with Richard Dawson way back on ABC in 1976.

Blimey, go on luv!
Would I be right in assuming £1000 in those days was like £10,000 in today's money or even more?
1,000 pounds in 1980 money is worth exactly £4,193.99 today
@@misterdocuk Still a fair chuck of change
@@davidfearis7335and did it roll over if not won, or did they only start doing that in later series?
Pity Bob didn't make a further joke about cockfighting. If Alan Bates and Oliver Reed does it better in Women in Love, so be it.
There’s no VT Clock in master tape?
Wasn’t included. Not every video I have has a VT clock - get over that
@ oh. What vt clock. Starts at?
@@eitanbitan14I can’t give you a timestamp as there is NO VT clock -
@ ok. Also. VT Clock in 3-2-1 right? In master tape?
And?
Bob, stop kissing hands.
If you think that looked uncomfortable, you should've seen his American counterpart Richard Dawson, he was all over the women!
@chaingangsoldier3100 Absolutely. A creepy pervert.
