The penjing master Zhao Qingquan said that a successful penjing is not necessarily the result of overcoming technical difficulties, but the ability to provoke in the viewer an aesthetic state similar to the one you get after reading a good poem. I think your penjing succeeds in doing this, even if the maple trees are young. I think we put too much emphasis on features like the thickness of the trunk or the age of the tree and forget the real stakes, which is poetry.
Whoever sat once under the young maple trees will look at this picture and feel at home ^-^ And the pot matches perfectly here! I liked the light-coloured stone too, but without it it's still speaking to my soul.
Enjoyed this video very much...Such a peaceful Penjing...Very serene...Thanks Nigel
Shef and the Rubber tree as an accent plant, simply the coolest. PA forest and accent plant, cool. Have fun at the show!
Nice work on this little forest for the fisherman. This will make a great looking penjing for the show. First place in my book. Great combination of the forest and the accent plant together. Super cool!!!!
Great group of threes to show!
3 nice exhibits , should look good my friend .... have a fine weekend !
That thimble looks great as a bucket for the fisherman. Will you also be making a thimble bonsai? That would great to see what you can come up with.
We don’t have shows up here in Alaska, but I’m always fascinated by what goes into it. Thank you for the insight, good sir
Hear me out on the maple grove Nigel, that accent plant is perfect it looks like reeds or cat tails, but find a stand for the accent so it sits at the same water level as the water level in the scene maybe top it or put a ring of the same white sand in it too
I know I am late to the party, but how about the lithops as an accent for the PA planting - perhaps the next time you show it? The aloe is a great accent, and the pot is exceptional, but I think there is something not quite singing there. Of course, I would be proud to have the option of showing any of these - they are wonderful!
Love what you do and share. Thanks.
Suerte en todas tus actividades del fin de semana.
Sos un entusiasta que se arregla con lo que tiene a la mano. Yo hago lo mismo, a veces, lo económico me condiciona.
Espero los videos para ver la noticias próximas.
Saludos, Nigel.
Maybe as a stand for that focus elastica you can use a piece of those bambu "mats" that are used to make sushi rolls
👍👌👌
Everything is looking great! Choices! Difficult choices!
good luck sir
