I have been binging on tribal fusion dances the past two days since accidentally discovering it on UA-cam. This gem is OUTSTANDING in terms of the music and the artistic expression achieved via dance. So very beautiful, so very perfect. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
This dance form is definitely inspired by Indian classical dance forms....you can hear the temple bell in the starting, also 4:00 onwards exactly same steps from Bharatnatyam.
But that mix is very definitely hell bound, it’s like killing itself….. I don’t know if it’s good or bad, some people like carnivorous plants, but these are also self pollinating so I don’t know how they can survive, like naturally their chances of survival is almost just kill itself
Russian,Egyptian, Indian, American, Australian, whoever I wish the entire world could come together in peace and dancing each others dances. Not war, it solves nothing.
So enjoy how this evokes feelings of primitive times. Times when women were healers and depended upon for their wisdom and knowledge. Keepers of rituals . Fabulous movements and costuming.
The music is entirely modern, and the costume and moves reminiscent of Mata Hari and classic Hollywood. And if you want women who were respected for their wisdom and their skills as healers, my great-aunt worked for 50 years in a maternity ward and my mother-in-law was a nurse and battlefield runner during World War II. They were real healers and wise women...this is just a pretty dancing girl!
No the movements are not reminiscent of Mata Hari and Classic Hollywood, not even remotely close. The moves in this are common in Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Sattriya, Kuchipudi, and several other Classic Indian Dances fused with Raqs...ALL of which predate that 20th Century entertainment fantasy. Movement is healing, especially since the art of belly dance has it's roots in what is considered the oldest form of instruction on birth giving. The movements taught women how to move with the contractions during birth as opposed to against them. Many orient based nomadic tribes still teach and utilize these movements, passing them on to young girls, it is women's sacred medicine. So while yes, her costume and the music (superfluous details) may be modern, the roots are not. Even an old tree sprouts new leaves and branches, but that doesn't change it's age or wisdom.
Captivating... this dancer has an amazing connection and interpretation, with the music. I was mesmerized, my imagination was ignited and drifted back in time...Thank You
learning my culture has been an absolute honor. It was hidden me for so long, but now I feel enlightened. Dancing is my life and now I see why it is my form of expression.
Wow¡¡¡!!!¡¡¡...she is such a talented, powerful, stunningly gorgeous Goddess...much gratitude to you NagaSita for sharing all of your beauty, talent(s), & blatent oozing fierce spiritual force.
I am sure she must be a pro in a wide range of dance forms including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, belly dancing and break dancing. Her performance seems like a fusion of all these dance forms. Flawless 💞
For anyone wondering. She's an acquaintance of mine from Portland Oregon. During this time she went by Naga Sita. Tiare_valouria is her Instagram. She has created a new dance troupe. Here is her insta account instagram.com/tiare.valouria?igshid=1tbir1apsvmxo
An amazing example for datura-technique in Temple belly dancing where the fluidity of the movement is catching the counterpoint with sculptural static postures having the rhythm...amazing art here.❤🎉
Yes :) It's because a lot of people don't realize that the first time we actually witness Tribal Fusion dancing in movies was actually in Queen of the Damned during the bar scene when Akasha was dancing ;) That's why you and me were able to notice the similarities.
Yes, I love how she nails the subtle details of her choreography. Every turn of the head is at a perfect angle, every shoulder lift is attentively executed. That is true artistry.

Now THIS is a woman all men should be drooling and daydreaming about.....tribal fusion belly dancing is such a amazing & super snakelike form of art and very classy too!
Absolutely incredible. Perfection in all elements -- music, costuming & of course, flawless dance. Never seen anything like it.
I'm in awe

Yep, my fav kind of fusion tribal dance
I see some Indonesian balinese and javanese dances as well there. Interesting.

Absolutely mesmerizing. She's like Apsara or one of the goddesses in hindu temple.
I thought about indian goddess Kali :)
One of the BEST dances I have seen!
Indians are learning western Dances and West is learning Indian dances. In Future world will become A fusion of all cultural dances.
She is not west. She is Russian.
It already was.
Russian,Egyptian, Indian, American, Australian, whoever I wish the entire world could come together in peace and dancing each others dances. Not war, it solves nothing.
WOW! I am mesmerized! Fantastic! Powerful! Should be in a movie, this was that good!!!

Why are these primitve times? Just because they were not ruled by european men or what?
Agree 100%
Captivating... this dancer has an amazing connection and interpretation, with the music. I was mesmerized, my imagination was ignited and drifted back in time...Thank You
As if one of the statues of the cave temples of Bharat has come to life!
Yessssss. Thank you. U nailed it (my thoughts 2)
Well said
Ingeniously this dance is largely a series of poses, each one of which could be frozen in stone and still look interesting.
learning my culture has been an absolute honor. It was hidden me for so long, but now I feel enlightened. Dancing is my life and now I see why it is my form of expression.
Am I the only one who started moving when this beat came on! 😍😍 She is absolutely perfect 😘

The way she used her hands to tell a story is something else’s she’s a good performancer
Nagasita, Rachael Brice, and Habibi Lal have the best costumes.
Old school Zoe Jakes as well. Not so much in recent times tho.
yes! You’re right about that
Amazing. Loved watching this dance, so much magic.
Every move captivating and highly sensual!
