Very well done. This presentation is unmatched in anyway. Just wondering about those 6 people who dare to ‘dislike’ one of the best executed learning video available. Thank you for sharing!
After 7 years I woke up and found your tut youtube. good to start stuff. Hi I'm a beginner learning SW. Please can I get the DWG file somewhere you used in this tut. thanks
Great video 👍 Question?? There are soooo many options in this program I was wondering how many other options or ways you could have used and still achieve the same thing ? Like they say “ there’s 100 ways to skin a cat.”
How are you able to rotate the part like that? What mouse button do you hold while dragging? I know I was able to do this in the past, but I have somehow lost that ability.
Throughout the video pressing the middle mouse button (the button typically clicked when pressing the mouse wheel) was used to rotate the model. The other times, where the 'Normal to' view is used, that is first selecting an edge to look down or a face to go normal to then pressing SPACEBAR to bring up the view selector to pick 'Normal to' for the view.
Srdjan Srdic, Sure. You can scan in a drawing full size and use it as an image in the background that you can “trace” to recreate the part, but it cannot scan directly into SOLIDWORKS as useable geometry. Thanks for your comment.

Srdjan Srdic, Sure. You can scan in a drawing full size and use it as an image in the background that you can “trace” to recreate the part, but it cannot scan directly into SOLIDWORKS as useable geometry. Thanks for your comment.
