      You might just wanna stretch before and try in the bed so then u won't be afraid whenever u got it try going something lower than your bed and keep going you dont want to force yourself

    Thank you SO MUCH. I got this after trying and trying. I’m so comfortable doing it now. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without this video!!! Now I feel so much better going into NBA auditions coming up!!

    Getting the hands right to knees may be the trick I'm missing. I'll try that to see if I can finally land them. Thanks for the tutorial!

    I can do it sometimes. Not as good as you tho. I do tumbling so I guess that’s why it was easier to learn.

    I hit my head while attempting to do it and now it’s pounding and it won’t stop but I will try again tomorrow because it’s almost 3 in the morning and I have dance tomorrow at 3:00

    That's a nip up. Not a kip up. You don't use hands in a kip up.

    I think she may need to watch a tutorial on how to make a tutorial. She literally just talked through kip. Nothing in this video was helpful. I watched the Simonster Strength tutorial. And he actually shows you why it works the way it does, the best position to start in, modified leg positions for the less flexible , and why you may end up in certain positions and how to correct it. This just should have been a post on your timeline.

    What I did to get mine hope this helps: started on a bed and when I felt comfortable doing it I went outside with a mat on a hill and rolled back till I was comfortable and ready to actually kick up when I was ready I would attempt it (still on the hill) when I was landing it then I went to flat ground :)

    I learned the kip up at age 14 after watching Saturday afternoon Kung fu movies. I got so good at it, I eventually did them without hands

    I pushed off with my arms and didn’t use my hips and legs to swing. That’s the problem. Thanks for that.

    Every one make sure you do a full body stretch before attempting anything your new to- and even if your not still stretch😊

    Earlier this year I thought that I would just try it. However it turned out that i actually perfer to wait until a parkour performance Is comfirmed to learn how to do the kip up. This is because i might live independently and be a plus one competitive parkour athlete in Sudbury MA with a dna related sibling of 2 make a wish kids that had an unrelated donor marrow transplant. This might happen as a wish grantor for make a wish

    Ahh Now I get it. All we needed was to have the move broken down into easy to follow steps.
    Step 1. Lay down
    Step 2. Do a kip up
    Step 3. Profit.

    A true kip uses no hands, arms and no swing. Lie flat on back and kip up. This is what they train in Martial arts.

    It hurts my leg bone whenever I do it and I can’t bring my cheats up so my back keeps hitting the ground

      Caitlin Diamond push your hips up more! You can try it first by pushing up into a backbend. Make sure to protect your back at all times! Also, make sure you’re trying on a mat!

      Hi Karm! You have to make sure to push your hips away from the ground or else you fall on your back. So when you prep, roll high back onto your shoulder blades. Lmk if that helped!@@karmfilms8132

      Benny Myles except, if you’re flinging your legs it won’t work. You have to push with POWER in your arms and legs at the same time.

      @@bennymyles1820 this move totally depends on who is trying it. Alternate techniques and find the ones that work for you. Also, start out on a bouncy surface like a bed so it's easier then work you way to the ground.
