For the marching band question It's alot of hardwork to march and play or march and spin with the many days under the sun and in the hot heat but it will be enjoyable if ypu let it. People gain many friends and even family through band. However if you arent dedicating your time or energy into it then it will be miserable. ALOT of my own memories come from my 8 years of marching drumcorps and 4 years with marching band and I'm not even in college yet. The activity is very much a sport as football may be. Also it doesnt matter if you dont know how to play an instrument or spin a flag because the instructors will make sure that everyone can play or spin something. And if you need anyone to rely on, I guarantee that the band family will take care of you. Good luck to those trying out!!
