Have you ever wondered how you could turn a favorite Procreate stock brush into a Modern Calligraphy script brush!? This is the very basics, but a great foundation!
Here’s how you do it!
1. Open your brushes and select that favorite Procreate stock brush! (Don’t do this with brushes you have purchased, even better just pick your own shape and texture from the Procreate library)
2. Open the settings - Tap the squiggle line in the top right hand side of the brush to open its settings.
3. Make it write smoothly - Tap Stabilization and pull the StreamLine Amount to about 80-90%.
You can do less or more if you want!
4. Make it write thick and thin - Tap Apple Pencil. Under Pressure slide Size to Max.
5. I lowered the opacity down on this brush to 84%, but you can play around with that setting!
6. If you find the brush is too thick, Tap Properties. Under Brush Behavior, pull the Maximum size down until its the desired size.
7. That is just the basics! Now get creative and see what more you can do with the brush! Can you make the texture more random? Can you change the color settings?
