Great guy I grew up watching him everyday and I even looked up to him he's a big part of my life I wouldn't have the things i have today if it was not for him. All the best brother.
I eventually stopped watching network television altogether. But man how I REGRET not tuning into this. The waterworks really kicked in, down to that last “thank you pic”, which is so 2000 in a period piece complimentary way. My highschool mornings were memorable because of this show. Thank you so much for being the mascot for this show all these years, Kevin.

There was something "fishy" about Frankish's leaving. He announced he was leaving the previous Tuesday and "retired" that following Friday. Usually, you get some time between announcing you're leaving and then leaving. I'd bet Rogers didn't like the ratings and gave him a choice--either retire "gracefully" or he would be fired outright.

Frankish didn't retire...he was pushed out. Nobody announces they're leaving on a Tuesday and then leaves that same week (Friday). The ratings were falling and Frankish was offered a "graceful" way out by retiring or just being fired outright
Oh boy do I ever miss Kevin Frankish. Why God Why!? Now we have Sid Seixeiro, major let down City. You went from intelligent and modest to some guy who is always pushing his opinions. That wouldn't be too bad but I can't remember the last time I disagreed with someone so much. He also strikes me as a political Yes Man. He really should stick to sports where his persona was clearly developed. I was an avid Breakfast Television guy from the start and started every weekday morning with it. Since Sid, UA-cam is now my morning entertainment and news source. We miss you Kevin and I suspect the rest of the cast on Breakfast Television secretly feels the same way.
