Dude you are one of the hardest working people on UA-cam, I struggle to make content on here over just playing for my own enjoyment honestly. But you are the master hahaha
I’ve been listening to lots of UA-cam videos trying to decide which plugin from Neural I wanted to get. This sealed the deal. Thanks for the informative and entertaining video.
Rabea has a preset called Icicles on the quad cortex, where it’s using multiple signal paths of pitch shifters and delays to get that effect. Probably one of the cooler presets on the QC. Looks like they just baked that in to the delay pedal on this. I’d imagine there is a lot of overlap in their modeling at this point.
Fantastic and super informative. your understanding of modeling software is next level man. I absolutely love your presets for the podgo and use them all the time with analog gear and recording. Sincere thanks for what you do!
Big yes for the presets, always appreciate your efforts there. As for the plugin itself, I’m enjoying the trial so far. Lots of very interesting sounds in the presets and it feels like potentially one of the most versatile suites they’ve made. Almost certainly going to pick it up when my trial ends so hope we can get your presets at some point! Thanks for the run through, very interesting to hear your thoughts and as always, phenomenal playing.
I've enjoyed Rabea's ambient adventures, and there a lot of interesting sounds and tones in the Archetype to take you to places you haven't been to before. Cool
No they're really amazing! One of the best plugins from NeuralDSP, it covers everything, from amazing clean fender-ish style, passing through your Marshall's, cool fuzz sounds (you can even make a fake octavia fuzz) all the way to the modern high gains and all sound great.
Thanks for this. I have the plugin, but this helps with the navigation, a lot. It's actually not hard to use, which is why I like it. I can see everything, very clearly, unlike some of the others, I've looked at.
Came here on the way to the Fractal Dumble video, which I've been looking forward to (John doesn't disappoint) and I'm glad I stopped here. First, the intro music is stunning as usual but also a different side of John's playing I am less familiar with. I think the light-bulb came on when the synth lead lines appeared. I thought, O yeah I'd be inspired by that as well. I'll watch everything John does because after watching this I will go into my Axe3 later and try to look into the freeze function. Something tells me it's in there somewhere but now I have to figure it out! Really fun to hear John playing high gain chunk with palm mutes and straight minor tonality. For once I felt like I understood what he was playing (for like ten seconds). Looks like I should be spending some time with a synth block, too. (What I need to be doing is practicing scales.)
Hey John, another awesome video. Love your touch and phrasing man! I just downloaded this plugin and was wondering if it’s still possible to get your presets?
Your playing is so clean that the synth has not trouble tracking your playing - even fast licks. Was wondering if the amp noise on the lead amp was bothering you? It was hissing away pretty loudly, esp noticeable when you turned on delay around 10:10
Hello john amazing video can you just tell me if you think that neural dsp plugin can compete against a fractal unit ? Im still thinking about the guitar tune you can dream in a axe fx unit but does it feel and sound that much better than plugin if you have a good soundcard ? Thank you !
John John John, please help. I am an avid viewer and have managed to create some amazing sounds via HX Stomp with your guidance! Over the pandemic our dad band split and I have kinda fallen down the singer songwriter route which I am loving. In the band I was running a Gretsch Jet, 1970 Selmer through 4x12 and an original Budda (Dual Mono) - Lovepedal Vintage /Modern and a Walrus Fathom, sometimes a Jo Bonamassa Wah. How things have changed, currently Acoustic (Lowden S10M - Fishman Aura into Bose L1 Pro) Electric (Godin Archtop P90 Neck only - Boost Pedal - HX Stomp - 2 button Switcher and a Ditto into Bose L1 Pro8. Had an amazing Summer of small festivals and I'm loving the freedom of being able to use the full sound spectrum. Question 1. I am looking to buy a Boss OC5 now they appear to be back in stock, is there a polyphonic octave in the Helix that I can try, if so can you please do an episode on it. Question 2. Also looking at a Gamechanger Audio Sustain pedal or freeze but the noisy switching puts me off the freeze a bit. I have got access to your Freeze pre-sets but don't really know where to start. Is the Gamechanger Audio worth it.....? Sorry not sure how else to contact you !!! PS Love you're channel so much
Hey John Nathan Cordy, I've been watching your video for a while now as a total noob but with good ears, and it's about time I ask you for advice to buy my first electric guitar. I am a beginner (played 10 hrs max) and want to play pop, 80s (pop, rock and disco): No metal. I'm 26 y/o and my hands are about 19.5 centimers tall. I have looked and held the yamaha pacifica 112v and wasn't happy with the quality. So I'm considering an Ibanez Azes [300 euro] (HSS or SSS), Harley Benton Fusion III HSS [310 euro], or Sire S7 HSS or SSS [450 euro]. What do you think I should go for, HSS or SSS and which guitar, is e.g. the Sire too expensive for me at this stage?
I'm not John, but there's no such thing as too expensive. If you're sure about diving deep into the journey of playing guitar, get a good quality guitar that won't fight against you when you're playing, and it will make you feel extremely motivated to play.
@@swayamtailor Thank you for your reply, I will take this into consideration. However, as John as played both the Ibanez and the sire, I am very interested in his opinion. So please, John, could you give me your opinion please?
Meh. Nice intro though. It's quite interesting that Neural DSP keeps releasing these similar-sounding plugins so often, yet the pace of updating their flagship product has been quite a disappointment. Or well, obviously these plugins sell very well, so they keep making these. The hype and the marketing have killed my interest in Neural's products.

That intro jam was absolutely amazing. Fantastic job. Thank you.
Is it just me, or do those amp tones sound particularly great!?

MonoSynth is pretty badass. Great playing as always and great vid. Showed a lot of interesting tones and features👍🏼
Cool played and wonderful sounds.

Plugin aside, I really like your playing. It's so fluid, so sweet. Loved the video. I think I'm gonna stick around ;)
stellar playing
you put very fine john, I love to see your intros, one day they will release your plugin. hug!

I'd be interested to see how you'd do a HX Stomp version of this plugin
As an owner of both. It ain't happening
These things are all so similar it almost seems like they should offer discounts if you own a different one. But that might be admitting too much
They do. Repeat customers get 20% off and once a year they do 50% off them all.

Incred. intro!😎
Hello John, can you share your presets? thanks man
John , is this coming from your studio monitors ? And if so what monitors do you use ?? Thanks
I mean.. it's called Rabea, but all I hear is Arcetype Cordy. Someone call Nueral up and get ol' Johnny boy a deal!
Hey man! the tab and backing of intro are available? Thanks and congrats!
Would be very interesting to see if you could try some Andy Timmons stuff since you have been doing it on other modeling gear, to get some comparisons
I've mentioned it before but he REALLY needs to do a piece on the HALO. I bought it and it is exceptional to say the least.
❤️ that 🔥🔥💯
que buen gusto para tocar guitarra un maestro!!
Presets? Thank You
Can I have the hardware version of this please
Surely that's the neural quadcore tex especially when they integrate all the plugins to it
@@Paul-D "IF" they ever integrate all the plugins to it!!!

Do the archetype packs get put onto the DSP unit updates?
What audio interface are you using?
PRESETS PLEASE

feature wise is a monster of a plugin but I have to say I'm not very impressed by the bare sounds of the amps, kind of cold and harsh.
Power of youtube when a pootuber gets his own plugin. Rather out of his depth with the other real musicians. No Neural. No... Meh.
I'll listen to Toska over any of the other Neural artists' bands. Some of us like a bit of noise/punk influenced playing.
Thing is, many UA-cam players are “real” players too. Rabea most certainly is. The very channel we are watching here is another prime example.
I don't think Steve Vai agrees with you. But then again, by your standards, perhaps he's not a real musician either.
What Audio Interface where you using?
