He is the sweetest bird and loves to show off his batman wings. There are many super friendly birds at the AZ Exotic Bird Rescue, These birds just want to play and be part of a Flock =)

Goffin's are very active, love people, and are just as happy when cuddling as they are when dancing to their favorite music. Because of their active nature, Goffin's require extended periods of time outside the cage. They also benefit greatly from solitude in a large cage with various, stimulating climbing and chewing toys. Because of their intelligence, escape-artist attitude, and curious, playful demeanor, Goffin's are not the right pet for the casual owner. In fact, like many larger birds, a Goffin's can quickly exhibit destructive behavior if bored.
However, for the right person, Goffin's are the ideal pet. They are one of the world's most elegant birds, draped in pure white feathers accented by a grayish-white beak, salmon-pink highlights at the base of the neck and the lores, and a yellow-tint on the underside of the tail and wing feathers. The Goffin's has a smaller crest than other cockatoos.
Mature Goffin's can be sexed by their eye color - an adult female's iris will be reddish-brown, while a male's will remain dark brown or black. A Goffin's Cockatoo costs around $1,000. Their diet, consisting of a high-quality pelleted diet, vegetables, and a small amount of fruits, is maintained in the home environment. Their average lifespan is around 40 years.
Unfortunately, in the wild, Goffin's are considered pests by many farmers whose crops are ruined by their small foraging flocks. In your home, a Goffin's Cockatoo can be a much more valued and endearing friend.

They are amazing for sure , they have a lot to teach us. When they bond with you that’s that. They are your friend to the end . My girl ain’t worth a nickel but I wouldn’t take a million for her.

I know I couldn't see him today, I miss him already, I'm going to head over First thing in the Morning tomorrow to say Heyy!! He is stay at the Rescue for another week or so, and Right now I am cockatoo Proofing my Room haha!
Why is he at the rescue only another week? Haha for cockatoo proofing!!! They are great pals but a huge commitment, they want to be with you ALL the time, but they are great pals!
Well she is going to come home with me!! That is for sure! I just wasn't ready to take her home yet and I have to pay the other half of my donation. Also the Rescue does a home check/ in with the bird to make sure the rescues are going into a good environment!
That is totally awesome!!! I have lost count but I have had Turkey 30+ yrs. he was 15 yrs old. I totally love him even though he can be trying at times. He has lived through a 10 & 17 yr old pit bulls and I have chihuahua's the oldest 9. He has been with me a long time!

Never buy from a pet store! 1000s of unwanted birds at rescues because people "impulse" buy.
YES! Please do NOT buy from a breeder or pet shop. But from a rescue! They need the money and you help an unwanted parrot from somebody who didn't know what they were getting themselves into (i.e., everyone).
Not everyone has a rescue shelter nearby.
And did you ever stop to think what happens to the birds who aren't bought?
if they aren't bought the business cant continue
there is no excuse to support these places
BUT< you get a parrot that was someone elses. The bird may not attach to the new owner. I bought from a local shop that breeds birds, he's the sweetest bird in the world. 30 years age I bought a rescue Cockatoo just like the one in the video, I'm still trying to get him tame.
This said AZ Exotic Bird RESCUE...

I was told that Goffin cockatoos don't talk! We have had ours for almost 20 years and not one word.
They talk for sure! Ive had one for about the same time and he is a non stop talker. Usually copies whatever is said the most in the house
Some do some dont. Usually just a few words. If he spent most of early yrs in a store he might not speak. I had umbrella. He never spoke.

my husband has ptsd and anxiety the screaming was getting a bit much for him with those issues. she also became aggressive to everyone else in the house besides him. lol she was cery bonded we had her for 2 years other than the constant need of attention scream shes wonderful

That's awesome. I'm currently attempting to train my eclectus parrot to whistle the gizmo gremlins song. He's getting there.

man that's just cruel, clipping the poor guy's wings.
She came in with her Wings already done, Its honestly for the birds safety so they can't hurt them self just in case they spook and try to fly out a window. Having their flight feathers trimmed makes them more depend on you. Birds should not even be breed for pets but they are and that is a said truth so that is why I am rescuing Woody from AZ bird rescue Inc and not buying a bird from a pet store or breeder =) There is to many birds that need to be saved!

why do people insist on clipping birds wings if you dont want them to fly then dont get a bird so fustrating to see this very often its like having a dog and cut his legs off to stop him jumping
Clipping a bird's wings is like trimming your dog's fingernails-they're made of the same material. It doesn't hurt them and the feathers grow back over time.
Flighted birds can easily injure themselves by flying into windows, landing on a another bird's cage or by crash landing. Rescue birds are kept clipped for their own safety and the safety of the birds around them. The last thing we want is a cockatoo flying over to a macaw's cage and picking a fight with them.

Well first off dogs and cats are diff. Birds get there wings clipped for many reasons. I clip my birds wings. She likes to walk off if you have the door open. Doesnt make you a bad bird owner. We chooze to do that for the safety of our birds.
That's not very smart to have a ceiling fan on . There has been some real horror stories With parrots and ceiling fans !
