The Peter Igelhoff video featuring Peter Kreuder melodies provides a "bridge" to this video which featrures the master himself. Kreuder and his big band play "Weekend", a popular tune by Will Meisel from 1938...
A lot of Kreuder records feature him playing the piano. The records featuring his big band or the Tanz-Sinfonie-Orchester are a real treat!
"Weekend" was released as flip side to "Jetzt geht's los".
The video offers a look back at the golden age of oceanliners with images of the "Bremen" and "Europa", Germany's flagships as well as the legendary "Queen Mary"....

This record was transferred with a 78rpm phono preamp and Ortofon Om78 cartridge and stylus in order to get an acceptable 78rpm playback. Restoration as truthfully as possible.

Die Musik ist ja toll, aber beim Film möcht' man fast erwarten, dass nch der Dampfer Gustloff gezeigt wird mit ein paar Bannern "Kraft durch Freude"...
