Car Stereo Boom Box with VU meter and fancy ‘Rosy’ paint

This video is an overview of my most recent project, the Rosie Retro Radio. I try a fancy stencil paint job as well as using a vintage style VU meter.

Another fine project, Zarbo! Keep up the good work. If you are ever feeling adventurous, I'll send you some of the "speaker protection circuits" and see if you can figure those out. Also, the "ghost roses" look great! Excellent color choice as well.

Thanks! I do like the term 'ghost roses' it fits! Why don't these people just send instructions? They DESIGNED the things, at least give us a chance to use them properly! : )

I LOVE old school vu meters! Are those passive radiators on the back side?

They are. Peerless 3.5" PR's. And I agree, VU meters are classy!

Everybody loves spaghetti
Deutsch connectors will help you clean up those wires and make it easier to disassemble
I use them for automotive purposes but they will translate well for your purposes

Hey theloniousfunk, I have a few different sized quick-disconnects installed on this build. They are a big help. I need to be more organized, modular with my approach, however. Now I have the sudden urge to eat some pasta!?!
