Why the disappointment when Jordan ranks so high? If Jordan had no competition, how did his teams get beat in the playoffs so much early in his career? If Lebron has so much competition in his era, does that make him an average competitor instead of a great one? The great ones have been known for eliminating the competition, not blend in with them.

It's the other way around. Now there is a stats inflation, with the changes in the rules, that's why so many players score so many points now. Jordan scoring 35 ppg in the 80s would be like scoring 45 ppg today

Current nba fans never got to see the old time greats play, like Bird, magic, Kareem, MJ etc. they see LJ and think he’s the greatest.
I watched the old greats play and LJ play. LJ is a great player, but he doesn’t win in just the eye contest versus MJ, Bjrd or Magic, or even Kobe.
LJ has played soft, given up multiple times, flopped to many times, gave up on defense and his team etc. LJ has longevity and that’s what make some newer fans think he’s the greatest.

  • @ashleyjones8597
    @ashleyjones8597 Рік тому +20

This guy needs to cut that "era" stuff out. He's literally already reacted to multiple videos saying that either era doesn't matter, or that Jordan faced the same level, if not harder competition. Hasn't seen a single video that has both of them in it that says Lebron had a tougher time. The video that literally compared them point for point even broke down the wins of both of all their finals opponents, and Jordans came out higher. And that's leaving out that in Jordan's era you could you know. Breath on the opponent without it being a foul. You LITERALLY watched a video that explained to you that a third of all of Lebron's points are from dunks, and layups in an era where no one can TOUCH YOU. And you still think he's better. Blows my mind. At some point you just gotta say "No matter what proof, or evidence I'm shown. I'll never change my mind. I'm bias." Cause at this points it's crazy. If Jordan played in todays era where traveling isn't called, and you can't clothesline your opponent, he's break ever record in the books. And if Bron played in Jordans era, he'd get his neck broke every night. You've already watched a video that told you Bron's only like 33% shooting outside of 3 feet. Either start all your videos with "I'm a bias Lebron fan who will never change his mind." Or just stop reacting to these comparison videos. It's just sad at this point.

He owns 6 of the Top 10 spots and 8 of the Top 24 Best Seasons...and if that doesn't make your eyes water a little, MJs 1985 season (#42 on the list) was better than his 1998 season (#47)...and then to discover that MJ owns the Best Peak among all other NBA legends and superstars says it all...I would've loved to see where Jerry West, Bill Russell, and Wilt Chamberlain would've landed...what a great job by Jimmy HighRoller...✌

The state of these Lebron fans, they’re so cringe and need to lie just to big up their idol.
Says Lebron was dropping 40 in the 2016 Finals. A bare faced lie.
He averaged 29.7 ppg & 8.9 assists. The greatest Finals is Jordan in 91 (31.2, 11.4) or 93 (41ppg), Giannis in 2021, all better than Lebron in 2016
Dude’s face was a picture seeing Jordan dominate the top but then collapsed when he saw 1988 😂
Lebron fans need to stop sexualising him and just comment on the game impartially and anyone can see Jordan is far and away the GOAT on every metric other than longevity which is all Lebron has and is why he’s still playing
Dude was so butthurt he couldn’t even mention Jordan’s complete dominance in his conclusion 😂

The counterpoint to your claim that LeBron had better competition, is that one could argue that Jordan should have about
seven MVPs, instead of five. And unlike what Jordan haters will try to tell you, the league was looking for reasons to NOT
give Jordan the MVP in some seasons so that it didn't look like he was being favored. Whereas today the media shamelessly
lobbys for LeBron to win MVP every single year. Or at least, they used to.

Its seems like blocks, steals and offensive rebounds should be counted twice, because that alters the game more, offensive players had to think twice knowing their shots or passes would be blocked or stolen, MVP's matter because that usually determined the championship or runner up, assist should be like times 1.5 because that's 2 points or more, and in reality, the rules are different, couldn't travel or carry or palm the ball while dribbling and taking an extra step and step back 3s, that was called in earlier times

There's a name missing from this list. Larry Legand in 1986. In my opinion, that was the greatest season for any player ever. I do not care what the numbers say. I know that that 1 player made all of his teammates look like all-stars. The number one problem with statistics is that the dirty work does not show up in stats. Examples; The player boxes out a great rebounders so another teamate can grab the rebound or the dive to save a loose ball. Or getting the key steal at the opportune time even if that is the only steal of the season.
Analytics are overrated because they do not account for every single factor like the dirty jobs.

86 Bird was amazing, and the criteria used in the video(although is a solid one) can't be used as 100% proof of what the best seasons were. Afterall, not everything is about stats. Bird did a lot off ball, and the Celtics had a collective style, meaning the ball wasn't in Bird's hands a lot. I' think 1989 Jordan was better than the 1988 one, despite 1988 being his best season by the criteria. That being said, I can't go with Bird's 86 being the #1 due to the defensive side. If Bird was one of the best defenders in the league in 86,maybe I could make the case. But when I think of the best players in their primes, 84-88 Bird will certainly come to mind. I wouldn't make a top10 without him.
