- I am going back to my 9-5 USPS Job while also Maintaining my Affirmation Skincare Company. I want to show the In's & Out's of Juggling both. I Figured I would not only document my process for inspiration for others but to hold myself accountable as well. I want to remind others to never ever give up on your dreams no matter what! Being a full time entrepreneur/ employee with two children can feel like it is almost impossible to accomplish , but I said this year I would prove my doubts wrong and push through it all . Growing up with no financial support system and more importantly not knowing the how's and whats makes it a challenge. But That doesn't matter what matters is how bad are you willing to fight for it. This showed up on my home page. I'm also a carrier. I was a rural carrier for 2 years. Resigned in November 2022. Starting journey as a CCA and looking forward to it. I love carrying mail. Postal Service was the best decision I made for my life.

Why did you resigned as a rural Carrier???
@@lovely31bluprint Not trying to speak up for anybody but probably because CCA is a faster path to career, You are guranteed full time after 2 years as a CCA cause they have a different union. RCA you have to wait till a regular retires and take there route. It could take 15+ years. Also, for those willing to work, bigger cities have more volume than they can keep up with, you won't have no problem banging out 60 hrs a week even as a non career.

I carried mail,I carried it on my back for 20 year's all walking before Internet, no curbside,up n down steps all day heavy satchel weighing 50 +around 960 deliverys ,I enjoyed working hard
Im scared because i fear dogs. I just accepted the offer. Im so scared!
Girl just make sure you are paying attention eventually that fear will subside because I was too at first . Always be looking around and if you see a dog just scan your surroundings and jump on a car if you got too !
Also get you some dog mace from Amazon

As an RCA did you ever have to use your personal car? And if you did how were you reimbursed? Is that money tax free since it’s for your vehicle? I’m starting soon, thanks!

As far as them taxing I’m not sure 🤔 I believe not ! I remember it being worth it though ! If the car is in great shape 🙌🏽

Hey is the orientation and training paid? I have heard yes and no. Last question about RCA, is it hard to get days off that you want when you first start?
Yes the orientation and training is paid ! And for an RCA you will be able to get days off if you request it in advance like a month out .. 😊
is the driving test easy to pass?
Yes it’s actually not as bad as I thought . Super easy 💌

Which position do you recommend me going to? CCA or RCA
If you are wanting less hours approx guaranteed only 2 days a week if your office is short staffed maybe more ! Then go for RCA it’s more flexibility.. if you are wanting to work 6 days 1 day off a week sometimes weeks without a day off but great money 💰 Definitely go for CCA !
I’m a CCA. I enjoy it. You get paid to exercise. It can be difficult, but it’s honest work.

Mmm......advise....after 37 years and taking my income to invest in rental properties and maxing out my thift savings you too could retire with a comfortable pension but it's up to you. Don't think for one minute that your gonna be an entrepanure

I have heard for years that the "high" pay at the post office is the reason people wanted to get hired there. So I am surprised to hear about the actual pay at the PO. Is this pay scale unique to Indiana?

Hello. Is it possible to put mails in the mail box by using Grabber tool on Left hand drive vehicle?
I’ve never tried it I was a rural carrier a few years but drove postal vehicles . However I do know that you can have your car rearranged to be right sided .
@@ShebaCurls Yes I have seen conversion kit. But panel remains on left and there are important lights ( oil, engine light etc) and also cooking temperature and so on. Is it not risky to drive without checking the information?

Unfortunately no they don’t since they wear street clothes however you can purchase many nice usps shirts 👚 and hoodies over on Amazon .

Okay so my orientation starts in 3 weeks .. so if I don’t pass the parallel parking, then technically it’s a wrap? I suck at p parking.
Trust me it’s gonna be the easiest parallel parking you ever do lol 😆 I still can’t in my car 🚗 they will have cones and you will have all day to get it right !

@@inglewoodmademe I’ve had maybe three encounters in the past 7 years it’s just really being watchful. The first time I wasn’t paying attention the dog was on porch . I dropped that mail and was out lol 😂 but I have had times where there were dogs loose and I slowly walked back to truck wrapped that block of mail up with a rubber band and wrote dog on it ! You don’t have to deliver that’s area of you see a loose dog or run across one mid walking . Turn back around and take the mail back to truck .

How was it having children and running a business? Did you have the time and energy after work and we’re you even home in time to be present for your kids?
Well it’s a juggle for sure ! Not impossible though ! I do have help with my kids while I’m not there on my day off I batch and create for the month that way I can tend to my kids through the days I have them and on my day off I can be present ! I think taking one day to batch is really key 🔑 you can do 2-3 weeks of reels and content and focus on the small things through the week ! Also Hiring a team to do the things you don’t have time for !
