Our friend Bernth! This is one of his latest videos that seems to be pushing the click-bait titles. I don't feel a "silent hack" was ever really addressed or explained. It was basically keep your fingers close to the fretboard, and then here's some stuff you can play to focus on different fingers.
The exercises are all fine, and lots of people can certainly get some kind of benefit from working with them. I question just how well the finger of focus is being helped, though.
I would never give a student any of these exercises to address a specific finger that's causing problems, but maybe that's just because Bernth is way better than me? Who knows!

I agree with most of this one! The idea of playing things in small bursts or chunks is fantastic. I have students do this all the time, AND myself!
I do take some issue with the way Hallsworth advises you to approach picking an appropriate speed, and his saying it's okay to practice sloppy is just straight up NO! DO NOT PRACTICE SLOPPY!!!!
If your goal is to refine your technique, then you NEED to practice with perfection in mind. Practice makes permanent, therefore only perfect practice makes perfect. If you continue to practice with lots of slop, you will keep being sloppy.
This idea that you will magically play correctly is far-fetched. Good luck! I don't see it happening.
