This guy is clearly pushing the renewable agenda. You cannot base your base load on renewables like solar and wind, no country does. Solar and wind are very unpredictable hence why he is showing the average. Base load is coal, nuclear and gas (it is like that the whole world - Germany, USA, China etc). The country must fix the base load first then add renewables as support power. A solar farm gives 10MW to 100MW depending on the size and quantity of the panels. The biggest solar farm in SA is Jasper at 96MW. We will have build a lot of farms to reach 6000MW, which is not practical in the short term (2 to 5 years). The solar power comes in at 08:30 to 17:30 which is off peak. SA peak usage is 05:30 to 07:30 and 18:30 to 20:30. Solar without energy storage does not help when energy is most need (we will still load shed despite having sufficient power via solar). Solution is to fix coal fleet. Eskom has 44000MW but only manages to give 19000MW. Country demand is around 26000MW. Fix the coal plant, it is doable. Due to Russian energy not being available to Europe owning to the war, Germany commissioned two of their old coal power plants to reach base load. We have an excess of coal in SA, put a budget aside and fix Eskom coal Power plants.

Then why not votela EFF do deal with inequality? Because the ANC has failed. Black people are still staying in bantustans. Compare where they stay to where whites stay. Years and years of letting go all maintainence
and now we sit in the mess, while the "powers" have their power on non stop.......!!😢
ANC will never be removed from power until inequality is dealt with completely. Until then we will never be affected by the same thing. When Whyt people are saying loadshedding we are saying let the economy collapse! It's not ours we will start again ✊🏿🇿🇦
Then why not votela EFF do deal with inequality? Because the ANC has failed. Black people are still staying in bantustans. Compare where they stay to where whites stay. I agree fully that whites most of them need a reality check. When a person is unemployed he/she will not worry about a business that has to close for a few hours due to loadshedding. I dont understand why black people are not more angry.
Someone who will starve for people who let white foreigners loot us. Brilliant!
Yeah yeah yeah…. The whole world can see how well you bright lot are doing. You lot can stay in the dark
With what capital though??? Some wishes are not well thought through. The black middle class( 3 million of them) controls about 400 billion banking power, in a 7,6 trillion economy in rands. The total collapse means starting from Zero. It is a dilemma, you kill it you kill us all and if we leave it nothing much changes. But a total reset would be a disaster.
And the question is, do those of us who say economy must collapse, have the ability to create a new different kind of economy that will include everyone..?
