Thank you! I appreciate the slow, clear, methodical, and complete instructions. You got me through my own repair job--no parts needed! And I love that your joy of repairing Toyotas comes through. Thank you!
Wow, I was about to give up fixing this until you pointed out where inside of the panel the detangling happens and I tried voila!! You are a life saver thank you so much! Simple thing but you make people lives easier. Appreciate it!
Thank you so much - this is exactly what was wrong with my '06 Highlander's rear window. I followed your example and now it works again! I was so happy to discover the window motor hadn't failed, nor had the window itself broken.
Excellent Peter....just watching you solve the puzzle is enjoyable. Simple mechanical movements aided by motors, that can get displaced and seem broken..until you come along. Happy customer....317,000 miles...still doing the job.
Thank you Peter! I'm having a similar issue with my '04 Highlander so this helps a LOT!! Now hoping one day you tackle the random misfire issue on a 2003 4.7 2UZ-FE that nobody can figure out! Not the MAF, Plugs, AF/O2 sensors, etc.!!!!
I have a 2006 Base Highlander only 126,000 . She is an amazing vehicle. I had exact same problem same window. Weird thing is I barely use that window - can’t understand why it gave me trouble. She is still worth it - she is one amazing girl! Thank you for showing and explaining how to do this fix.
Nothing wrong with my Tundra windows but I'm now going to lube the window tracks with a rubber friendly silicon (or similar) based product as a preventive measure, thanks to your "heads up" on the wisdom of doing so. Especially on my older vehicle! Thanks so much.
Thanks for your video , helped a lot … less than an hour ( I had previously watched your video and ordered new motor from Amazon ,just $37. dollars) and problem fixed.
Your awesome 🎉 I used the holes on the tracks as a leverage point against the arm/green tag and my trusty screw driver gradually sliding it to the side without wd40 but I was worried I'd break something 😂
Great video and education. I believe its a 2007 Highlander because 2006 doesn’t have the hybrid badging on the front fender; has the “Limited” badge in that location and only the Hybrid Synergy Drive emblem on the tailgate.
If you hit the switch and hear no sound and movement, the motor is bad. You can take the panel off and tap the motor with a screw driver handle while holding the switch and will work again. But it will still likely need to be replaced.
I had the same issue in my highlander years back. My son was trying to roll dkwn the glass and I pressed the luck botton in my door to stop him. What gappened the glass went off the rail arm. I fixed it after relocate the glass on the rail for proper closing.
I was going to take the window out completely to slide the glass back into position in relation to the rubber/metal holding channel until I saw your clever trick at 12:31
Hello! I need your help, I have a Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinders, 4*4 manual transmission, year 2000, I only cleaned the throttle body and it is very accelerated, I cannot lower the revolutions.
Quick question, i have a 2010 corolla, 217k KM from Canada, and the plastic cover on the trunk release latch melted in this texas heat. I bought a replacement cover, but I can't remove the original screws given the angle and space (and the fact they are 12 year old screws likely never been removed), none of my screwdrivers will fit. Any ideas on how to deal with this?
I think my problem. ay be the switch itself? I think that is where my problem is. Window is on track, it just won't go up. I here a click when pushing the window up button, but nothing else. It won't roll up with the drivers switch for the rear window either though so maybe not.
Echoing the sentiments of others. Thank you so much for all the time and money you helped me save.

This was so helpful. We had the same issue with our 06 Highlander. Same door. This helped me to repair it without any damage to the car or my hands!
My 2006 Highlander just did the same thing on the left side. I will repair it this weekend thanks to you.

Thank you for making and sharing this video repair. It helped me to repair my 2002 highlander window problem. Kudos to you

Lot of people have commented with the window issue.
Plugs and coils Denso? NGK?
You’re very thorough when you explain as you work. Thank you!
Thank you, very detailed and informative video. And you managed to show the mechanic movement clearly in the video which helps a lot.

Thank you for your videos, you saved me a ton of time and money being able to do this myself. I appreciate you
Thanks Peter, Love watching you work.

Our 06 Highlander Limited has 320k, runs great. Had to change a bulb today. Not bad!

NICE.. Love my Toyota's And Lexus...Thank you...

I hear a click and the problem is intermittent. motor or damaged wires?
@@jonstolarski Most likely the motor, sometimes its working and sometimes not, it may be going bad. BUT could also be the switch.
@@toycoma98 thanks brother
You’re amazing!!! Also I LOVE your voice & accent lol ❤
Great video, perfect explanation. Thanks a lot!
Toyota Is Best 😎
Thank U Peter😎
Great job and a great presentation. Now I must subscribe! Thank you!!
Thank you for the video. Now I have to see if that is the same problem I have on my highlander

I just fixed my 2011 Highlander driver window 😂 that’s crazy
It took me about 25 minutes, bolt fell in the panel.. added thread sealer and Presto!
You got the failed window too.
Petr, I am sure many people would like to know the maintenance schedule that helped get this Highlander to 317,000 miles.🤔
Hello my friend 👍👍👍
I was going to take the window out completely to slide the glass back into position in relation to the rubber/metal holding channel until I saw your clever trick at 12:31
Nice video on window reg but, I gotta say I think the driver is a tailgater, I wonder how many windshields were replaced?
Thank u sir. Just fixed my window

Buy angled drivers or small space driver with double sided bit
Could use a model car paintbrush for the grease so you don't cut your finger
That was AWESOME 👊
The Highlander is built upon a Toyota Camry chassis and uses the Camry 3.5 engine. The 2023 gets the oil burning 2.4 turbo engine.
Why do call it oil burning? The 3.5 engine in the 22 is not a great engine.
This particular year used the 3.3 liter.
ThIs model year was built in Japan
This one in particular at the Miyawaka plant
2004 rav. Has just Started to stall after I fill gas. Any thoughts?
did you get a real mechanic to scan it with a real scan tool?
TY,,,,,,WOW very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.

Helpful
Loved it.
Oh yeah baby!
This is the exact issue I have!
