This makes me dream of a perfume that would have the right drying time/layering notes to develop as the movie tied to it goes on so you smell like the scenes you're watching in real time 😍
As someone with zero knowledge of anything regarding the details of scents/perfumes, I’m finding this video so interesting. The amount of words describing different scents is fascinating
Exactly 💯 i Iove fragrances but I don't have the expert nose or vocabulary to name what I smell. The typical scents like strawberry, cotton, vanilla yeah, but not the deep stuff🙃 so I depend in the connoisseurs to tell me what I'm smelling.
A second video is definitely needed. So interesting. I obviously don't know what they actually smell like, but it's fascinating to hear what people create and imagine certain themes to smell like.
proud to be the target audience for this lol. i've been looking for a perfume that evokes my favorite (horror) movie, videodrome, if anyone has any leads on anything that smells like vinyl and clay
As a lover of horror films and fragrances, I find this interesting. I don't know if I would ever purchase a "horror" fragrance, but I found this informative for sure.
Grimoire by Lebreton - basement horror story. Van Py Rhum Lorenzo Pazzaglia - Dracula obvsly. Wolf Brothers - animals in the forest. Love this video! Hope you will have happy and joyfull Chrismtass
Hey, just a note on oil concentration: The higher the oil content, the more longevity BUT less sillage/projection. It is actually the evaporating alcohol that makes a perfume project into the air around you (hence why scents typically last longer on clothing or hair than skin, because the heat of your skin makes the alcohol evaporate quicker). A higher oil concentration is not always a plus in my book, sometimes I want others to smell me without having to be physically close to me 😋
Girl, I'm a huge fragrance nerd too, so I GASPED when I saw the title of this video! I'm also hyped that we have some things in common when it comes to taste in scents; animalics, purple florals, and certain fruits. I personally like a bit of incense and gourmand, tho hehe. Also love that you used info from Fragrantica! First spooky brand that I think of is Fabled Fragrances, tho I don't find them very wearable outside of winter or late fall.
I've been looking forward to this video so much! My husband bought me the Nosferatu one from Heretic Parfum for my birthday, and now, with your code, I made an order with Seance. Can't wait to smell them all.
I’m a fragrance collector. I have over 1000 bottles. Try A City on Fire by Imaginary Authors. Smells like a burning building with screaming, uh, “participants”. Dried down to a nice cardamom spicy sweetness. Or try Night Flyer by Olympic Orchids. Smells like bats, a wet cave, bat guano. Perfect for spelunking. I love that you did this video and hate that I missed it. Come on UA-cam. Where was my bell for a new video!!?!!?!?’
I love 'A City on Fire'! I purchased a sample for my fiance to try. I didn't like it at all until I smelled it on him. I feel like people don't give it a chance (the reviews I read weren't the best 🤣), but I love it now!
Great topic. I’m a neurodivergent. Fragrances and spooky stuff are my special interests. I can recommend Demeter for their interesting, affordable products. Coincidentally, they have made plenty of spooky themed fragrances: Witching Hour, Haunted Souls, Ominous Mist, Vampire Blooms, Dark Roses, Shadow Flowers, Funeral Home, Zombie are ones they offer.
As a long time lover of horror and fragrance I recommend Black Phoenix Alchemy lab. They have horror movie and literature inspired oils - in the past they’ve done a Clive Barker collection, Crimson Peak and literary vamps as well as a ton of other collections. I also love Last Rites Vintage solid perfumes, they have great through and the tin is huge. So happy I came across your channel!
Not me being born without a sense of smell and not knowing what's going on in the video, but watching it anyways because horror and also fascinated how fragrances are made and how someone can pick up so many notes of scents in them.
i’ve been keeping up with your fragrance tiktoks and i’m OBSESSED!! i would watch at least 100 more of these videos, they’re so interesting and niche. ps: what are your favorite floral fragrances?
Jo Malone makes some amazing florals, love English pear and freesia. Glossier You I guess counts because of the Iris note, and lazy Sunday morning by Maison Margiela has gorgeous floral notes.
Heretic Nosferatu I own and it very much gives Cucumber to me at times but the lilac after rain scent is super spot on and I’m in Love. I tried Baie 19 (I think) by Le Llabo which was also supposed to be petrichor but I hated, however I love Nosferatu. When it comes to “Christmas” horror fragrances rn is isn’t Christmas, and it’s only sold in Europe, but I really love Rammstein’s perfume Engel Dark for Her - it smells like Frankincense and smoky wood to me so it’s for very much Krampus vibes in my opinion (:
I have been a fragrance fanatic and collector of weird scents for many years and I love this video idea! What I have smelled so far that reminds me of horror movies or sceneries: Encre noir by Lalique smells like the Forbidden Forest and Snape in his basement office, Chypre mousse by Oriza L Legrand smells literally like zombies climbing out of their graves, and Relique d‘amour by Oriza L. L. smells like an old stone castle and a broken heart..
Perfumer student here 🫶 love the vid. Just giving a little memo, white flowers are in the warmer category (monoï, jasmine, ylang ylang are white and in summer fragrances) meanwhile purple flowers are in the powdery/ fresh category and not the other way around ❣️
Wonderful collection. Thank you so much for featuring lesser known brands like Andrea Maack. If you like rose, please try Fille de Berlin by Serge Lutens. This is a very dark red bloody rose. I could not wear it because I almost can taste the metallic aspect of it. Most of Serge Lutens are very moody fragrances. Unum "But not today" inspired by Hannibal Lecter. Some V Canto fragrances in red velvet are very gothic too- Mandragola for example.
oh also one fun video idea would be you trying to create your own fragrance based on one of your favorite horror movies like blair witch project or something ❤❤
this is the content crossover of my dreams! i love your horror movie content, and when i saw that you posted a fragrance video i gasped out loud lmao. the only fragrance of these that i've gotten my nose on is the nosferatu scent.... and unfortunately it made me feel ill. it was really nice at first, but dried down to a sickly and overwhelming wet rotting leaves/earth. it smells beautiful on paper, but not so much on my skin. 😭😭 i'm so interested in trying some of these other fragrances that you mentioned tho! i would be SO DOWN for more fragrance content from you! love this!!
Love this so much. I love horror and fragrance as well. I honestly was browsing sites while watching this and ordered a couple of sample packs from Seance because Merry Christmas to me lol!
Sarah!!!! I had no idea any of these existed. I have already been looking at the Seance Perfumes website and will definitely be purchasing some items from them. Thank you!!!! I for one, would love to see more content like this. Great video as always.
absolutely love this video!! i'm obsessed with fragrances and you described them so well & putting the perfume notes and descriptions was so smart we need a part 2!!
The best way to describe the smell of ozone is metallic-it’s used to duplicate a “bloody” note to perfumes. Though not technically a horror line of fragrances, Etat Libre d’Orange creates interesting, niche perfumes-my favorites are Palais Putain, Jasmin et Cigarettes, Like This and Afternoon of the Faun. I think you’d like some of them!
Absolutely loved this video and I will 100% watch other one on this topic. loved the way you edited the video because describing the perfumes and having the ingredients to read, too, was great, so much so that I quite managed to smell them too. As a huge fan of gothic literature and imaginary, and newbie to the world of fragrances, I find videos on this specific nieche of perfumes so instructive and interesting! i will be here if you do more of them!
Have you tried the Potions Fatales by Quartana? They’re fragrances inspired by poisonous plants. I adore their Bloodflower perfume; it’s the best blood-inspired perfume I’ve ever smelled.
YES GIRL! My bestie and I are horror movies ppl and im a fragrance girl, im using this as inspo for her birthday presents bc shes been wanted to get into nicer perfumes/fragrances
I got back into the fragrance hobby in the past few months, after like 20 years of using the same thing(Black XS and it's lackluster reformulation). I think horror, movie and pop-culture themed fragrance reviews are a totally awesome idea! Been watching for a few years now and I really like your content. Keep it up ♥
Thank you for this very thoughtful and informative video! I've been wanting to try getting one or two nice perfumes for myself, but it's such a gamble if you can't smell it before buying it, and I also have an overly sensitive nose prone to headaches 😭
I would love to hear your opinion on the fragrances from Witch City Wicks. I’m a big fan of their perfumes and candles. I adore the one called Witching Hour, it’s powdery and floral but in an old fashioned way. I’m so glad you did this video!!! Thanks so much 🎉
I havent watched the video all the way through but after i heard you list the notes you love most i had to comment and tell you that we have the same taste and i love fragrance and horror so please make more of these!
What great timing for this video! I've been looking for a new perfume and with a well documented love of horror and goth stuff, I've been getting advertised these types of perfumes like crazy.
Have to say I’ve been waiting for the videos for a WHILEEEEE now. And so far, god is it worth the wait. Watching as an envious Brit who can’t order most of these 😢 especially the heretic ones
OMG! This is one of the GREATEST videos I’ve come across this YEAR!!!!! You’re SO amazing!!!!! Love horror and FRAGRANCES!!!! Thank you so much for this video! You hav no idea!!!
I’ve been hearing about the Nosferstu fragrance by Heretic for months. I didn’t want to buy the full size in case I didn’t love it. Someone said you can get a small size through Scentbird so I did that. Waiting for it to arrive! I have high hopes.
Loved this one, Sarah! I had been so curious about the Nosferatu from Heretic and you absolutely sold me here. Would love to see more options in the future.
I'm a fragrance collector so this is right up my alley. I've been curious about Coven for a while but haven't tried it yet. I got the Heretic Nosferatu scent from Scent Bird, and I wore it several times to give it a good shot, but it didn't do it for me. My favorite horror fragrances are from indie brands! I love Eldritch by Pineward Perfume (specializes in foresty smells, the Murkwood and Fanghorn scents are also wonderful!!) and Vlad Dracul by Sixteen92.
Actually, I also really love Trashcan Man by Hexennacht, which smells like motor oil and gasoline. Any perfume that reminds me of a Type O Negative song.... I need to wear it.
haven't watched yet but spectacular video idea! huge fan of horror and fragrance and it makes me happy to see such a big horror youtuber talking about fragrance
Literally me and my sister and cousin are obsessed with horror scents. I just got the Nosferatu perfume and I can’t get over it. The brand, heretic also does a season of the witch sampler pack and everyday I wore those I had people stop and ask me what I was wearing because the scents are so unique.
I had no idea about horror fragnances and in general, I don't know much about perfumes, but this was super interesting. Also. the Fern ''cameo''. Love ❤
Can I just say thank you so much for describing what the individual notes smell like. Im trying to find my signature scent and get so overwhelemed by all these words I've never seen before lol.
Hi Sarah. You mentioned your interest in US national parks. Have you looked into Missing 411 or better still The Lore Lodge? May be of interest 😉 Have a lovely Christmas ❤
I love this so much!! Fragrances are so expensive so it’s so nice to have an opinion I trust as a starting point, so thank you🖤 also v much agree with everyone that you’re glowing, motherhood suits you so well✨
Love this!!! I also am super into fragrance right now, and love the many spooky scents on the market these days. I would recommend checking out Amorphous (formerly Black Baccara) - they also have a Nosferatu-inspired scent and other witchy/vampire scents.

This video was a bonding experience for my brother and I. He’s a fragrance fanatic and I’m a horror fanatic. 😅
Ahh yay that makes me so happy to hear!
Omg! I’m a lover and fanatic of both horror and perfume/fragrance!! Good to know there are other people like me out there 😂
Have you heard of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab? Many spooky scents to be found there including Graveyard Dirt, Embalming Fluid, and Penny Dreadful!
bpal such a classic!!!
Seconding BPAL!
3rd
4th! 🖤
I got one from Etsy. The graveyard one. Love it
Just wanted to say I love this video and would love more of them. Also, you’ve just been radiating lately, absolutely stunning in every sense 🖤
Aw thank you!
Wore nosferatu to the movie yesterday, the lilac note is so perfect and thematically appropriate that smelling it during my watch had me tearing up!
That's so beautiful!
This makes me dream of a perfume that would have the right drying time/layering notes to develop as the movie tied to it goes on so you smell like the scenes you're watching in real time 😍
I wasn’t aware of “horror fragrances” but this is super cool! You always find ways to make awesome and original content - keep it up✌🏼
Thank you!!

For everyone else. This is not how any of that works. Sillage, longevity, and projection are, at best, coincidentally related to oil concentration.

Athalia by Parfums de Marly is my signature fragrance, and she’s such a dark, deep, powdery iris, bitter orange and incense. It’s absolutely stunning.
@@The_Cherokee_Gypsy Ooh sounds good!
I’ve never clicked on a video quicker.
Horror and fragrance pretty much sums up my life. lol
I would LOVE more videos like this! You must try BPAL (black Phoenix alchemy lab) they have endless spooky scents
was expecting the typical sponsorships but excited to see its kitsch! congrats on such a cool sponsorship, get your coin mama 🖤
Thank you!!
I've been looking forward to this video so much! My husband bought me the Nosferatu one from Heretic Parfum for my birthday, and now, with your code, I made an order with Seance. Can't wait to smell them all.
Heretic makes amazing perfumes. I love Pistil Whip
yes part 2 please & I would love to know which fragrances you've been loving lately!

Omg literally came here to recommend BPAL too lol
This is such a cool concept!
I LOVE horror movies & fragrances so im so excited for this video & would love to make it a series!

I'm so into that video concept! I'm not a horror person, but I LOVE perfumes and I love everything spooky/witchy, so this is perfect
This is such exciting content to me!
I've been into frags since 2019 and have 90+ and have LOVED horror since i was a kid and had no idea these existed
this is everything that I've been needing! Thank you!
absolutely love this video!! i'm obsessed with fragrances and you described them so well & putting the perfume notes and descriptions was so smart we need a part 2!!

I got a bottle of Like This for Christmas and am in love, it definitely gives me garden/kitchen witch in the fall vibes
@ It’s one of my favorites, and I absolutely love that Tilda Swinton’s childhood was the inspiration ❤️
Absolutely loved this video and I will 100% watch other one on this topic. loved the way you edited the video because describing the perfumes and having the ingredients to read, too, was great, so much so that I quite managed to smell them too. I appreciate that you explained where the notes come from, like plants and why they smell that way
Great video! 2 of my favorite things combined: horror & perfume!
I would LOVE a part 2! We need more videos on alt fragrances ☆
*excited screeching in fellow perfume lover* I like cashmeran, amber, jasmine sambac, lemon, and green apple.
Have you tried the Potions Fatales by Quartana? They’re fragrances inspired by poisonous plants. I adore their Bloodflower perfume; it’s the best blood-inspired perfume I’ve ever smelled.
it’s so interesting hearing you talk about scents!! loved this
I love this content! Totally pulling some of your recommendations into a list. Thank you!
YES GIRL! My bestie and I are horror movies ppl and im a fragrance girl, im using this as inspo for her birthday presents bc shes been wanted to get into nicer perfumes/fragrances

Heretic is on scentbird for anyone who doesn't want to drop $125 on a fragrance you havent smelled yet.
Thank you for this very thoughtful and informative video! I've been wanting to try getting one or two nice perfumes for myself, but it's such a gamble if you can't smell it before buying it, and I also have an overly sensitive nose prone to headaches 😭

Im sure someone else has said it but you might like black phoenix alchemy!!! They do horror/gothy perfume oils and its all very unique!
Loved to hear we have similar taste in fragrance off the bat! Really enjoyed this one queen (:
What great timing for this video! I've been looking for a new perfume and with a well documented love of horror and goth stuff, I've been getting advertised these types of perfumes like crazy.
Have to say I’ve been waiting for the videos for a WHILEEEEE now. And so far, god is it worth the wait. Watching as an envious Brit who can’t order most of these 😢 especially the heretic ones
this video is absolutely perfect! i'd love to see more interesting or horror inspired fragrances!
Sooo excited for this video!!!
Love a great horror flick 🔪🧟♂️, love a great fragrance 👃🏽✨
OMG! This is one of the GREATEST videos I’ve come across this YEAR!!!!! You’re SO amazing!!!!! Love horror and FRAGRANCES!!!! Thank you so much for this video! You hav no idea!!!
I love horror! I never thought of it branching out to stuff like this! Great video!
Loving the addition of fragrance! ✨
I think it's interesting as a novelty, but not something I'd wear - it just smells like wet concrete to me. I need to try those Xyrena scents. I come across them every now and then. but then totally forget they exist because they aren't really talked about in the fragrance community. Thanks for your thoughts. I have lots of discovering to do.
i love your movie reviews and recommendations of course, but it's cool to see you branch out into other videos too!
this convinced me to get the season of the witch set and im so excited !!
Please do a part 2! :)
I just got the Nosferatu and it is sooo interesting, I love it.
Loved the sugestions!! We definitly need a part 2
Weirdly just got interested in scents recently and this is a perfect crossover of my interests.
can't wait to see part 2 of your top 100 films of 2024!! I love your videos so much. ♥
This was a really interesting video. I love fragrances and I can't wait to smell these Seance perfumes. I would love to see a part 2!
This is so cool! You should do more videos like this!
Adore BPAL so far, there's also a ton of different sellers on etsy of horror-related perfumes too. Would love to see a continuation of this video!
Literally me and my sister and cousin are obsessed with horror scents. I just got the Nosferatu perfume and I can’t get over it. The brand, heretic also does a season of the witch sampler pack and everyday I wore those I had people stop and ask me what I was wearing because the scents are so unique.
this video is absolutely perfect.
I loved watching this :) I'm also a lover of fragrances, so this video felt so short. I was shocked when it was over.
I just fell into perfume talk to and this is so incredibly niche but like the perfect video I could ever imagine
I dont typically wear any fragrances but this video is facinating.
18:02 Mom when she saw me during the holidays:
I had no idea about horror fragnances and in general, I don't know much about perfumes, but this was super interesting. Also. the Fern ''cameo''. Love ❤
Can I just say thank you so much for describing what the individual notes smell like. Im trying to find my signature scent and get so overwhelemed by all these words I've never seen before lol.
Hi Sarah. You mentioned your interest in US national parks. Have you looked into Missing 411 or better still The Lore Lodge? May be of interest 😉
Have a lovely Christmas ❤
I love this so much!! Fragrances are so expensive so it’s so nice to have an opinion I trust as a starting point, so thank you🖤 also v much agree with everyone that you’re glowing, motherhood suits you so well✨
I would LOVE a part 2 video!
Love this!!! I also am super into fragrance right now, and love the many spooky scents on the market these days. I would recommend checking out Amorphous (formerly Black Baccara) - they also have a Nosferatu-inspired scent and other witchy/vampire scents.
Yes yes yes! A part two, please! :D
This is my ideal video topic!
