- Premiers from across Canada speak with reporters ahead of a first ministers’ meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa. The meeting comes in the wake of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to impose a 25 per cent import tariff on goods coming from Canada and Mexico when he takes office. Trump is set to be sworn in as president on January 20. Delivering brief remarks and facing questions from the media are premiers Doug Ford (Ontario), Wab Kinew (Manitoba), Susan Holt (New Brunswick), Andrew Furey (Newfoundland and Labrador), François Legault (Quebec), Scott Moe (Saskatchewan), Ranj Pillai (Yukon), P.J. Akeeagok (Nunavut) and R.J. Simpson (Northwest Territories).
