Really though, that robot mode is uncannily show- accurate. They even managed to keep the kibble to a minimum- I'm very impressed.
I am new to toy reviews, what is kibble in this context? I know you don't mean dogfood.

Man, retooling her into Tarantulas is gonna be extensive.
They will likely share engineering, but Tarantulas was always a bigger bot. Like Tigatron to Cheetor. They will likely be new molds entirely.
I could see a transmetal retool more likely as I feel like it would be way easier
@@jakedc1997 The issue there, is TM 2 Blackarachnia was a lot bigger. So she would need a new mold too. Unfortunately, Blackarachnia is the smallest Predacon of Season one, with no redecos at all. So in terms of retool potential, essentially this mold is a one and done.
Just like they are not gonna retool cheetor into Tigatron they also are not gonna retool Blackarachnia into Tarantulas. Tarantula looks completely different than Black Widow so everything would need to transform differently. Tarantulas just have different proportions. On top of that they looked very different in robot mode. Tarantulas was not only bigger but also bulker. So they can share some of the transformation scheme like arms stored under the spider body and the body transforming into robot chest while legs hiding in the abdomen. Simillar case is with Cheetor and Tigetron. They look simillar in robot mode but in beast mode cheetah looks nothing like tiger, Cheetah is slim while tiger is big a bulky. It might require different transformation to achieve that robot mode.

Blame the original character designer's team; they took him to a strip club for "inspiration" when it came time to design Black Arachnia (or so the story goes...). Everyone _else_ is just maintaining par for the course.
Also, this review in general clarifies a lot of odd things that *Peaugh* forgot about/missed in his video.

While I'm sure they will have similar transformations, I think Tarantulas would be a whole new mold. He is larger than her in both modes
He will be a new (and hopefully improved) mold, much like MP Tigatron.
The worst thing that could happen is just holding this in your hand and all of the sudden the spider legs try to bolt.
Better than I thought it would be... Still showing the legs in Spider mode is a downer for me.
"Your anguish sustains me". Both an awesome statement and the start of the most metal song ever. What I liked about the transformations on the cartoon was how each character had their own sound that accompanied their change. Emgo you should feel awful for pushing this figure's chest so much while transforming it. (^_^) Only joking. I like how the problem of her oddly shaped "hands" holding a weapon was solved in a way that didn't look dumb. Another great figure (probably too expensive for me ever) and another great review from the freakin' geek himself.
She's got 28 eyes on her. Rattrap was off by 20. Goddamn it, Rattrap.
It would've been funny if blackarachnia was telling megatron something and Megatron was just looking down at "those" and then she asks are you even paying attention and he just says Yeeeeeeeeesss..

Considering what the robot mode is and the spider mode is, they done really good. I don't know why people still complain about kibble when it's justifiable
The beast mode is off putting but i think the robot more than makes up for it. Maybe ill see if i can persuade someone to get her for christmas for me 😁

I wasn't impressed with that stand at first and how it plugged into that port in the backside. That displays the figure horribly but then brought that whole web gimmick. That was a game changer and displays that figure in alt mode beautfully. I'm really down with spider mode for this release. I'm tempted to buy it even though it fits nowhere in my collection. Also the motorboating is a good bit of tongue and cheek. Gave me a good chuckle.

The price is a bit much on the spider mode but it kinda works the spider legs are probably annoying
Depending on where you live, she is priced higher than Cheetor and Optimus Primal. With her 1.5 modes, she isn't worth more than them.
I think her price is inflated because of the stand and the web, the same way Dinobot costs too much because of the stand he comes with as well. I waited for a massive Black Friday discount before finally being able to justify buying him.
If they make a Masterpiece Tarantulas, his visor shouldn't have a wire through it, so the wire from Blackarachnia's visor can connect to it, like that time in the show when they swapped minds for a moment...

They just confirmed that we're getting a Masterpiece Tarantulas after Tigatron. I think what they're gonna do is just make this Blackarachnia figure but slightly bigger and remolded and obviously Tarantulas head sculpt. I'm super excited for him bc he's my favorite character in the show and I'm gonna buy this Blackarachnia too.

First, I think they should do Airazor, Rhinox, Rattrap, Tarantulas, Waspinator, Scorponok, and Terrorsaur to round out the Season 1 cast. Then, they can do the Transmetals. Ooh, and the fuzors too!
I’ll leave upgrades videos to you sir even though I enjoyed making them and if toy videos have to be made for kids I will miss all the usual you in your vids. It’s a shame I’m a geek since 81 I will still buy things even if I can’t make transformers upgrade/fix videos for adult collectors like us anymore
My biggest gripe is that for a MP-level toy, they still use those cheap ball joint on the spider legs. It's fragile and loose to the point.
Should watch the new Transformers series on Netflix. Blackarachnia became more bicurious with Airazor since Thunderbolt is out

That beast mode is kinda bad, robot legs visible front on, spider legs just pressed against the side, and the back section is just a brick hanging off her. I know they have to fold a big robot into the spider, but then just upscale the beast so you have more room to hide the robot parts
Frankly I think they did a great job since the primary goal seems to have been making the robot mode perfect with the transformation being secondary. This is most likely to make up for the original toy being utter crap.
U got lucky with the ankles. I got mine yesterday and her ankles were too tight and I broke both her ankles
I like the fact the sheen and texture are almost the same as they were in the show
She scales really well with Power of the Primes Optimal Optimus
Now that I know spider transformers I'm exited there's 2 blackarachnia and tarantulas
In the end she actually maxamises.
She never maximizes in this body, though
She looks great.....would have been nice if one the faceplate had her winking.....
